"Good morning, I'm a freshman transfer from New York University and my name is Juan Dinhara Pratama" Juan said, introducing himself to the class while showing off a smile on his handsome face.
Hara raised her head as soon as she heard the name she had so longed for over three months. In an instant his body became tense when he saw the figure of the young man who was now in front of the class.
Applause welcomed the introduction Juan gave. Almost most of the students who seemed to get their new idol. The young man seemed to hypnotize anyone who saw him.
But Juan's eyes were fixed in one place. His eyes stared at Hara so that the two of them's gaze met. Juan missed the look of the girl. The girl who had opened her heart and locked it in one name was Nikki Hara Syahputra.
Hara bowed her head again, she did not dare to look at the young man any longer. Three months he tried to forget Juan, but his efforts ended in vain because the young man was in his presence.
"During the time you didn't see Hara, did you miss me?" juan whispered in the girl's ear making Hara flinch. He did not expect the young man to choose a seat next to him.
Hara snorted, instead of answering Juan's seemingly very confident question, Hara asked him to be quiet and pay attention to what Professor Hardi would say in front of the class.
"Don't talk nonsense, you better watch the lesson ahead!" hara said slowly but firmly.
"As you wish dear" said Juan again with a smile on his handsome face.
Hara cursed in her heart, really close to Juan made Hara unable to concentrate on what was conveyed by Professor Hardi. The young man seemed to steal some of his focus with his charm that was indeed extraordinary.
The same thing was felt by Juan. Their position so close that Juan could easily smell the body scent of the girl. It felt like Juan was pulling Hara into his arms, letting go of the longing he had endured all along.
After two hours, Professor Hardi ended their study session. Hara was able to breathe a sigh of relief, she wanted to immediately distance herself from Juan which made her tight and almost unable to breathe.
"Where are you going Hara?" juan asked, holding Hara's arm, who was about to leave her seat.
"Take me off Juan!" hara's words with a stifled voice, he did not want to be a highlight of attention because of Juan's behavior on the first day the young man entered college.
"No Hara!" juan insisted, the young man clutched Hara's fingers and took her casually out of the classroom.
Many staring eyes did not like the closeness of Juan and Hara. How could a handsome freshman be close to a nerdy girl in thick glasses.
As usual that appearance is what Hara uses if she is in the campus environment. Although the father actually asked the girl to change her appearance, Hara did not bother him. He likes his style like this that does not cause admiration for men.
"Take me off Juan!" hara's cry was louder than before as the young man did not listen to her request at all.
"I will never let you go again, Hara, never will" said the young man, taking Hara off campus to a cafe located across the street.
"What do you want to drink, Hara?" juan asked no matter what Hara looked like she wanted to kill him.
''What do you want Juan, I still have class" Hara said.
Although Hara did not mention her wishes, the young man ordered two ice cappuccinos for the two of them.
"Just tell me you want Juan?!" hara asked impatiently as the young man just looked at her without saying anything. He could have left without Juan, but he knew that the young man would not let go and would probably do something that would make them a spectacle for the crowd like when the young man held his hand all the way to the cafe.
Juan still did not reply, the young man grabbed Hara's hand, "I miss you Hara," Juan looked at the girl with his sad hazel eyes.
Hara was flabbergasted to hear the young man's words. He did not expect Juan to miss him. Their relationship is without clarity after three months ago Hara left New York to return to Indonesia following her father's wishes.
He remembered three months ago the last time he met the young man. Juan declares his love, but he refuses because he has promised his father to stay away from Juan and Hara keeps that promise by returning to Indonesia.
"I miss you so much, Hara." Juan spoke back to how he felt.
"If that's all you want to say, I'll go back to college. There are two more courses that I have to take" said Hara coldly as if what Juan said meant nothing to her.
"Didn't you miss me Hara?" juan asked holding the hand of the girl who was about to leave.
Hara did not reply, the girl closed her eyes holding back the turmoil she felt in her heart. Lying if he doesn't miss the young man. But Hara also could not say her heart. The father had made him promise to stay away from the young man. And Hara is not one who can break her promise. Moreover, it was a promise to the father who had been taking care of him alone since his mother.
"Sorry, but we're not so close that we have to make me miss you, Mr. Pratama," said Hara, the girl couldn't possibly disappoint her father because Donny is all she has in this world.
Hara pulled her hand from Juan's grasp, "I beg of you, from this moment on stay away from me as far as possible Lord Pratama," said Hara passed away leaving the cafe and also left Juan who felt pain in his heart.
He was never rejected by women, even the women themselves who approached him even though they knew Juan had never been in a relationship for more than a month.
But this time it was completely different. Juan must try hard to get Hara's love added again with Donny's father who does not like their closeness. That would be a huge barrier for Juan to get his love.
But the young man did not want to give up, Juan was determined to win Hara's heart and make the girl confess that he also really loved her. Juan was very sure that the girl also loved him as much as he loved the girl.
Sorry Juan, maybe we are not meant to be together, inner Hara.
The girl returned to the campus feeling unsteady. He could not lie to his feeling that when he saw Juan his heart was a little broken. It's just that his promise to his father can't be broken. Hara does not want to be called a disobedient child. For this reason, Hara chose to forget her love for Juan for her father.
