I'm Vi. I was an ordinary child from an ordinary family and an ordinary environment. I live an ordinary life like most other ordinary people. But, my activeness in the classroom made me known among teachers as a smart child. 6 Years in elementary school. I carved achievements so that I graduated by bringing the title of outstanding student.
One thing that surprised me was that I was able to take the entrance exam to a junior high school that was famous for its student intelligence. Of course this school is equipped with adequate facilities to support education. Not everyone can get into this school. The school was quite expensive and only the children of the rich could attend it. Some went in because they got scholarships. And surely a kid like me wouldn't have gotten in if it wasn't for a scholarship. My family is well off so we don't worry about what to eat tomorrow. But my family isn't that rich so I can get into this school.
I was surprised to hear that I managed to take the entrance test. At first I was just trying to apply for the scholarship. But I didn't really expect to be able to take the entrance test. Who would have thought because I was included in one of the outstanding students at SD Y. I was considered for the entrance exam. If I pass the exam then I no longer need to think about the tuition fees.
I just need to think about how my grades haven't dropped for 3 times in a row.
"Vi. You're leaving." Mom came up to me while I was tying my shoelaces.
"Yes ma'am, I'm leaving now." I looked at my mother who was smiling at me.
" Okay heart on the road and spirit okay." Mom stroked my hair.
" Ready." I blinked my eyes at Mom.
I just replied with a smile.
"I'm leaving mom." I stood up and hugged my mother and then I came out of the house.
"HEART VI." Mom yelled at me.
" READY." I wave my hand.
The school was not too far from home so I only had to take the bus for ± 10 minutes and less than 2 minutes walk from the bus stop to the school.
After arriving at school I took the exam with nearly 20 other students. I was nervous when I finished the exam. Actually, the exam wasn't as difficult as I imagined. But I'm still not sure about the outcome. I saw the faces of the students who were also taking part in this exam. Some look nervous and some look ordinary as if they are working on it very easily.
" I wish I could graduate and get into this school." Hope I take a deep breath.

" Vi.you're home." Mom asked me.
"It looks like you're really tired.is everything going right." Mother approached me.
" Hummm.that's how." I answered briefly.
" What's up Vi." Mom looks curious.
"No ma'am, it's just that I don't think I'll be able to pass." I'm down.
"Why not. is it that hard." Mom curious.
"Actually not. but what is possible is a school like Junior High Z willing to accept ordinary students like me." I thought for a moment.
"Why not, you're a nana's smart kid." A voice I knew sounded.
" Granny !" I was surprised to see my grandmother coming.
Grandma lived in the next town so we rarely met. We only meet once a month or two months when dad is busy.
"Nana.don't ever think so." Grandma stroked my hair.
"Wanna listen to grandma ?" Grandma smiled at me.
When grandma says 'would you listen to me' or 'nana would listen to grandma' it means grandma would advise me. Nana was my grandmother's call to me. Vi Nana.
"The way we judge and look at ourselves and our dreams, will determine our successes and failures.if we want to succeed we must convince ourselves that I can, we will try our best to achieve our dreams.but remember even though we die trying but if God does not want.then we cannot succeed, in addition to our intentions and efforts we must also pray to God who is all-round." Grandma hugged me.
"Well, Nana Vi will do all three, optimistic, inventive and reckless." I smiled at grandma.
And avenged with granny's soft caresses.
