Chapters 11.

Alberto sighed, then exhaled slowly. Alberto also explained his intention, whereas Alberto's intention to invite the Lee family was to hold Mrs Lee accountable for her disrespectful actions to Karren. Alberto's explanation left everyone dumbfounded.

"Alright, if Karren my daughter has decided like that. I don't want to agree with you either. We'll see the results one month later. Deric and Young Jun must work on their own and exert their respective abilities in order to make Karren fall in love. If you're the winner, I'll marry him to Karren" Alberto said.

Karren surprised. He did not think far and misunderstood. It makes the problem more complicated. He sits between Deric and Young Jun. Karren was speechless, he hoped that he would not be wrong in making his decision. He just wants to be happy. He did not want his home destroyed. Either Deric or Young Jun is clear Karren only wants someone who is loyal and loves him wholeheartedly.

Deric invites Karren to exercise together. They ran around the park not far from the family residence Alberto lived. After several trips around Deric and Karren decided to take a break. They sat side by side in the garden chair under the tree.

Deric looked at Karren, "Did I ask you something?" ask Deric.

"Sure, what do you want to ask? There's no need to hesitate with me" Karren said, staring at Deric.

"Do you like Jun?" ask Deric.

"Yes, I loved it twelve years ago. He is my closest friend" Karren replied.

"What about me? How do you feel about me?" ask Deric again.

"Hmm .. I like you too, you're a kind and caring person" Karren replied.

"It seems, if I want to marry you, I have to fight hard in order to get your heart. Your love is nothing more than a friend, right?" said Deric.

Karren was surprised to hear Deric's words. Karren looked at Deric with a look of wonder. Deric looked at Karren and smiled handsomely.

"No need to worry, I will compete fairly. I won't hurt Young Jun" Deric said.

"Thank you, Deric. Fight" said Karren.

"I have to fight. Thank you for encouraging me" replied Deric.

"Come, we'll buy some food. I'll deal with it," take Karren.

"Can. I happen to be hungry. What about soup? there's a store that sells good-tasting rib soup down the street" replied Deric.

"Could only. Come on, let's go there" Karren said.

Karren stood up and followed Deric. Karren took Deric's hand. Karren felt something, his heart racing. Deg .. deg .. deg ...

"Eh, why is my heart pounding? Just because I held Deric's hand? No, no, no, this must be something wrong," inner Karren.

Deric and Karren arrive at the store. Deric immediately ordered a serving of rib soup with rice. Deric looked around. Deric sees a waiter carrying hot soup, and accidentally stumbles. Deric hugged Karren. Soup spilled on Deric's back. Karren is surprised, Deric protects him from the hot soup. Deric grimaced, as it endured the pain.

"Pardon me, sir."

"Sshhh .. " Deric murmured.

"Deric, are you okay? your back .. " asked Karren to look at Deric's back.

"I'm fine. How's your. You injured?" deric asked looks worried.

"Master, forgive me. I don't see the road and stumble. Sorry .. " said the waiter.

Karren took out some money and put it on the table, "Please next time be more careful. I'm sorry, I have to take my friend to the hospital immediately" Karren said.

Karren pulls Deric's hand out of the tavern. Karren looked upset and also felt guilty. Karren takes Deric to the hospital on a taksu.

"I'm fine, why go to the hospital?" said Deric.

"You're crazy about soup? my back was covered in steaming broth, and you said okay? you're asking me to kick it?" karren said grimly.

Deric smiled, "Thank you" said Deric.

"Stupid!" karren.

"Yes, I'm a fool. Because of you I was stupid. Do you know, if I didn't protect you, you'd get hurt. Then, how am I going to deal with your parents and Darren? You know, I'm doing this because I don't want the people I love to hurt so much" Deric said.

Deg .. deg .. deg ... Karren's heart beats again. When I heard Deric's statement.

"That remains dangerous. Must have blistered your skin. Uncle Dominic could be angry, mad, big angry" Karren said.

"will not. My father would understand, if I explained. You don't have to worry" said Deric.

Karren was silent he felt guilty. If it wasn't for protecting her, Deric wouldn't have been hurt. The taxi stopped at the hospital lobby, Karren immediately paid the taxi fee and got off with Deric. Soon Karren took Deric to the emergency department and called the nurse on guard.

The nurse and the doctor are in charge. Karren accompanies Deric. Karren looked very agitated and anxious. Karren bit the tip of his thumb out of worry. Karren was shocked when doctors cut out Deric's shirt, Deric's back blistered and his burns were severe. The doctor cleans the wound, then gets a burn cream. Deric made no sound but his hands clenched. Karren knows Deric's in pain. Karren stroked the soft Deric hair. Deric looked at Karren, Karren smiled and held Deric's hand.

The doctor finished taking the medicine. Deric was hospitalized for several days to see the reaction. Deric refused immediately, asking to be treated by the road. However, Karren had the nurse prepare a VIP room for Deric. Karren looked at Deric with a sharp gaze, making Deric speechless again and only bida sigh long. Inevitably Deric accepts Karren's decision.

"Sorry, because of me you're like this." Karren murmured.

"It's okay. It's just a small wound" replied Deric.

"No, Deric. Your condition is not good, your skin is blistered quite badly. And it must be very painful, right?" karren replied sadly.

The nurse came in a wheelchair. Karren helps Deric sit in a wheelchair.

"Let me drive to the inpatient room" said the nurse.

"Please guide, let me push the wheelchair" Karren said.

Karren pushes Deric's wheelchair following the nurse. They arrive at the VIP inpatient room that has been prepared for Deric.

"Please, I've cleaned her room. If you or the patient needs anything, please press the button behind the bed. The guard nurse will come right away" said the nurse.

"Yes, no thank you" Karren replied.

"Together, may your husband recover quickly," said the nurse smiling broadly.

Karren was shocked, his eyes widened. So does Deric. The nurse leaves Karren and Deric. Karren and Deric entered the room. Karren helps Deric move into the patient's bed. Deric sat on the edge of the bed.
