The Inappropriate Taste

Chapter 12 - Banquet

"Assalamualaik."

"Waalaikumsalam, come on in, Roby, Linda." Dimas opened the door and let his guests in.

They headed straight for the dining room at Dimas' request. Dion's eyes rounded perfectly when he saw the variety of food he often saw in television commercials but had never eaten at all.

There is chicken kaefci, cheese pizza, steak, squid and crispy shrimp and many more other foods.

"Come please sit down. We eat together" Dimas said.

They ate all the dishes on the table. Dion ate so well. Moreover, the chicken kaefci that he often sees on television feels very good. After eating a plate of chicken with rice, Dion switched to take a cheese pizza that was bought for him who did not like spicy. 

Roby who saw how to eat Dion immediately glared at him. Dion immediately stopped chewing and bowed.

"Lho Dion's? No eating it. Eat dong.  Intentionally buyin is special for you," said Dimas.

"Maybe Dion is full, Mom" Roby said.

"Yes, if you are full. Then pack it home. It's Om pesen only for you. I don't like cheese." 

Linda ate slowly. Actually, he really wants to add portions. But he did not want Roby to scold him later.

"Come dong Lin, add more. I buy special for you who are breastfeeding again. Roby said you're thin from breastfeeding, right. Let's eat a lot. My aunt is also breastfeeding. The portion of the meal can be up to three times the usual. It's natural that a nursing woman eats a lot." Dimas glanced at Roby who was just silent while continuing to eat.

Linda just nodded but did not want to increase the portion even though she was still hungry. It was clear, this afternoon the side dish and rice had run out. He deliberately did not cook anymore because of Dimas dinner. But if this is the story, just the same, he will still starve.

"But this is still a lot. Take it home, yes. Mama maybe I ate all this food."

Linda nodded slowly with great pleasure. While Roby just looked at Linda with a lazy look. For some reason if he saw Linda, he immediately felt annoyed and hated. Maybe because of Linda's very ugly appearance and regret of marrying Linda and having two children that he had to support.

After the dinner was over, they chatted in the living room. Recollecting the past while in college. Dimas looked at Linda's eyes, which began to fade even though it was only half nine in the night. Even Dion is still at home playing with the robot that Dimas gave as a gift for new neighbors. Dela was given a small cat-shaped doll that could sing. Linda must be very tired after working all day.

Eventually Dimas ended the conversation out of pity to see Linda. He wanted to see the face of the woman of his heart. It is not as beautiful as it used to be, but Dimas still considers her the most beautiful woman in the world.

After saying goodbye, finally Roby and his family came home with a lot of food for them at home. Dimas smiled with satisfaction, he managed to make Dion and Linda eat well tonight. Something that made her heart happy.
