The Inappropriate Taste

The Inappropriate Taste
Chapter 1 - My Friend's Wife

⁇ ️POV DIMAZ️

I saw a woman who I adored a long time ago sitting in the lobby of the office where her husband and I (Dimas) worked. She's Linda, the woman who stole my heart long ago.

But there is a difference I see in him now. She used to be so beautiful, graceful, and clean. But look now. She was so dull, her clothes were not as good as they used to be, her face looked older than her age.

What the hell's going on? Is he sick? Or is there a problem? I watched it for a long time until I found my own answer. Roby, my best friend and Linda's husband, the woman I love approached her and pulled her violently outside.

I quietly followed them to the back of the office building. There, Roby takes Linda's hand off violently until she grimaces in pain. It was so angry that I saw him. If this wasn't a public place, I would've punched that Roby.

"Why are you here anyway? Just be ashamed!" Roby looked at Linda with annoyance.

"Mas, I'm asking for money. I'm going to the doctor. Dela's sick, Mas. I now leave it to my neighbors. Kasian, the fever is high. She's crying all the time, Mas," Linda whined at Roby.

Oh God, is it up to Roby to make Linda come to the office just to ask for money?

"Ngapain went to the doctor. Medicines will also heal. Wasting all the money!"

"I gave you medicine, Mom. But the fever's getting higher."

"It's because you're not a mother. The child cannot. What the hell is your job? There isn't one, is there? At home just take care of the house just take care of the kids just like your appearance like an old gini grandmother. Shame on you!"

Astaghfirullah, how could Roby say that to Linda. She should have known that being a housewife with two small children must be very troublesome. It was so angry that I saw him.

"Mas, I know I was wrong. But please give me money. I'm taking Dela for medication. Cassian she is, Mas." Linda held Roby's hand. This time her tears fell.

I can't see a scene like this. But what can I do? You fucking Roby! How dare he make Linda cry.

"Please! Shame on you! Every month I always give you a million dollars. You're taking my money?"

Whahuh? A million? Isn't Roby's salary five million. Which four million? As far as I know, the motorbike he was wearing was paid off, right?

"Mas, we need a lot. A million is less. I even often owe at the stall because the money you love is lacking. Make food, children's milk, electricity, water, and gasoline you ask me to."

Fuck you Roby. It turns out you've been cheating on your own wife. You're greedy Roby. You useless husband!

"Mas, don't talk about it now. I'm asking for money, Mom."

"Now, I only have twenty thousand!" Roby threw the money in Linda's face. I want to feel like I hit him. Ah, Linda why are you so stupid. Why would you want to be lied to like that.

With teary eyes Linda picked up the money that fell at Roby's feet. Without pity, Roby left him there. I saw Linda crying while holding her chest. I know, it must have hurt so much that it stifles the chest.

With a gontai move, Linda walked away from the place. I was thinking, how can I help Linda without being discovered? Ah, I know. I'd better follow him. Still plenty of rest time. I'm the boss of the office owner anyway. It's just that I'm posing as a regular employee to expose anyone who cheats in this office. And who knows only my father as the owner of this company. So I don't have to worry.

*****

I started following Linda. First, he took his sick son whom he had just left. His eldest son, Dion, was with them.

My heart throbbed when I saw Linda walking. He held Dela and led Dion, who was five years old. Dela was six months old. That's what I heard from Roby.

Linda arrived at a clinic not far from her home. He immediately checked his son into one of the rooms. I can see his scared face. He must be scared if the money is lacking.

I went to the cashier and gave him money. "Mbak, the patient on behalf of Dela, pay him to wear this. I'm sure there's a change, then for Ma'am. Keep telling her mother because she's the patient to how much so the treatment is free. Keep giving me this envelope. Tell me this is the prize." I handed the money and the envelope to the cashier.

"Yes, Mas. Wow, that's really good."

"Mbak, inget yes. It's a secret."

The cashier nodded. I'll be out soon too. I hid behind a tree and waited for Linda to come out.

I waited a long time until Linda came out with a happy face. She continued to kiss her children and face up in gratitude.

Thank God, I succeeded. At least he won't be sad anymore. And I immediately went back to the office when I made sure Linda came home on public transport.
