Ch 3. - The Exam of Becoming a Hunter

Tokyo is the capital city of Japan which is always crowded with people. But the most crowded place is in the middle of the city precisely in the Hunter Association.

"As usual, this place is awesome."

Ryuga walked into the Hunter Association Building in astonishment.

Although he had been to the Hunter Association Building several times but Ryu never ceases to be amazed by the design of the room that is so luxurious and beautiful.

Without waiting for long Ryu rushed into the Hunter testing grounds.

"Hey, what are you doing here."

A muscular burly man with a ferocious look suddenly appeared from behind surprising him.

"Lord."

Ryu was surprised as if he saw a ghost.

"Why are you yelling son, making me look like a ghost."

Said the muscular man slightly offended.

"Sorry uncle I'm just surprised."

Ryu said nervously regulating his breath.

"Hemmm are you going to take the exam to become a Hunter"

The muscular man looked at Ryu from top to bottom.

"Ah yes uncle I want to take the test to be a Hunter"

Ryu was currently getting more nervous as the muscular man looked at him for quite a while.

"Then follow me."

Said the muscular man casually.

Ryu was taken to a quiet room, there were only a few Association staff and 5 other participants who would take the Hunter exam.

"Do you know what the exam is to become a Hunter?"

Said the muscular man named Frank.

"There are 2 exams to become a Hunter the first is a test of how much mana has and the second is a direct combat test."

Ryu answers what he knows from Hunter's registration form.

"Well, for the first test you just have to put your hand in the crystal pattern."

Frank points at the crystal ball and leaves Ryuga.

But before Frank goes Ryuga calls him.

"Wait for uncle Frank"

Frank stop.

Ryuga's words bowed slightly, as he was not an ungrateful person.

Frank answered briefly and continued.

"We'll meet again."

Frank left with a wave of his hand.

Inner Ryuga was confused.

Ryu was a little surprised to see from the five participants other than himself that looked the same age as him, because usually there are rarely people who register to become a Hunter at a young age.

Of the five participants besides Ryuga, there were two girls and three men. One of the girls felt familiar to Ryu but he brushed his mind off because the girl looked so pretty, pure white with jet long black hair.

Before Ryu answered the familiar pretentious man named Inugami, a beautiful black-haired girl shouted towards Ryu.

"My name is Yuki Sakura greeting."

Everyone looked at the girl in confusion.

There was no wind no rain, no one asked the girl but she yelled introducing herself.

While everyone was still speechless Ryu replied with a smile.

"Greetings to Yuki-san"

Seeing Ryu smile at her, Yuki blushed and turned her face away, afraid that Ryu would see her face flushed like a tomato.

Yato who saw Yuki's reaction laughed and said.

"Hohoho, a cold princess like the Ice Queen can be shy"

Suddenly the atmosphere seemed to turn tense, a high voltage electricity from above grabbed Yato to make him fall unconscious.

While Ryu only smiled wryly at the girl's horror.

The atmosphere became silent for a moment.

"Ah yes then I'm coming too."

The words of the short red-haired girl broke the silence.

"My name is Inue Shoko, and the two people behind it, Hiroshi Kei then that arrogant-looking person is Takehashi Jiro, greetings Ryuga-san."

Shoko said cheerfully.

"What?!."

Jiro said angrily while Shoko stuck out her tongue.

"Yoo."

Hiroshi Kei raised his hand followed by Ryu.

"Why did you introduce yourself to this stranger."

Takehashi Jiro says he clearly doesn't like Ryuga.

Jiro is the son of the head of the Guild Master Blood Wolf who is known to everyone with an arrogant and arrogant nature. Jiro always does his best because he has the full support of his father.

"Do you know that all the children here are Guild Master's children from the Big Five Guilds in Japan."

Jiro said to Ryuga in a proud tone.

Ryuga did not bother Jiro who wanted to show off and keep a friendly smile.

Jiro's anger is overflowing as people want him to have the support of an unknown stranger. Jiro actually liked Yuki from a long time ago because she was beautiful, but what she was after was not only that but the Asagi Guild.

Yuki Sakura is the son of the mysterious Guild Master Asagi. Because the Asagi Guild was more closed off than the general public.

It said the Asagi Guild contained many high-level Assassin-class Hunters.

"Well the kids now it's time for the first test."

Said a female staffer who melted the atmosphere.

Jiro advanced confidently and placed his hand on the crystal ball.

Compliments were uttered by the other staff which made Jiro even more arrogant.

"Next."

The female staff called.

"I'm me, I'm next."

Shoko said in spirit placing her hands on the crystal ball.

"295 mana energy, wah as expected of Guild Master Sheild's daughter."

The staff praised Shoko.

"I lost to that arrogant fellow."

Shoko was a little disappointed to lose to Jiro.

After Shoko's turn, Kei advanced and was followed by Yato who had just regained consciousness even though his body looked charred black.

Answer the other staff.

While all the participants other than Jiro looked at Ryu with admiration.

Shoko complimented Ryu.

"You're great Ryu-chan."

Yato praised in a familiar snobs.

Kei brandished his two thumbs to Ryu

and to Yuki she smiled proudly herself.

I don't know why Yuki feels proud nobody knows.

While Jiro pinched his lips he felt he did not accept losing to someone who was not clear of his origin.

But in contrast to Ryuga he felt himself very weak and embarrassed because he only had a small amount of mana.

"Akh. if everyone knows I'm having a resurrection at seven years old, I don't know what happened."

Inner Ryu loudly shouted in annoyance from embarrassment.
