The Hugger Heart

The Hugger Heart
A GIFT FOR THE WIFE

'Mas Doni's...Come along around Turkey' Pak Bowo who has finished breakfast invites me to join the group for a tour around the city while waiting for the judging time to be completed.

Today a new exhibition will be opened after the dzuhur later. So this morning became a free time for all exhibitors to enjoy their free time.

The committee provides a tour service around the tourist attractions around the location where the exhibition is held. And all the participants no one wants to miss the opportunity, including me.

'Bang Ismail let's join us.' I called Bang Ismail, a participant from Malaysia who was immediately familiar with us. Due to the resemblance of everyday language, then the communication of the three of us was very smooth. Mr. Bowo and Bang Ismail are not fluent in English, while I, although not fluent as well, but I ventured to always try to communicate with words that are simple and easy to understand. And for one week there, I had many acquaintances from participants and visitors stand.

One of them is Mr. Nur Pasha, the owner of a small cafe near the exhibition site. When we met, Mr. Nur Pasha was very happy to meet the Indonesians. He has been to Indonesia, Jakarta and Bali while on vacation with his family. And Mr. Nur was amazed when I told him about Kalimantan.

Several times Mr. Nur sent his employees to send me a tray of flower tea and a typical Turkish snack sold in his cafe. As an expression of friendship and brotherhood.

I plan to stop by the cafe tonight with Mr. Bowo and Bang Ismail.

'Bang....Bang Ismail..waduh.mataanya everywhere continue to nih, ga focus we chat with'

'Ha.ha...Understand Mr. Bowo, young man. Among us, he's the only one who's not married'

'Mas Doni.ini me again effort, any time can take home one to be a wife'

'Ha.ha..ha'

'If Mas Doni is even familiar with the face of Turkish women, Mas. Similar to his wife's family all.he.he..'

'Huh!! The hell time is Mas?' Bang Ismail was shocked to hear Mr. Bowo's words just now.

'He.he.he.iya Mr. Bowo. Everywhere I saw the faces of my wife's family all.' sahutku chimed in and made Bang Ismail more curious.

'Sir Bowo's time off to Turkey to meet my wife and mother-in-law, Bang.'

'My wife is a Betawi, a Jakarta native of Arab descent. So his face is more or less with the women here'

'Is there a picture of him? Really?'

'Ihhh ga believe.nih try to see.' I showed our photos while at Soekarno Hatta International Airport.

While Bang Ismail was looking at the photos from my phone, Mr. Bowo and I continued the discussion about the building in front of us, Topkapi Palace.

Topkapi Palace is located in a complex with Hagia Sophia. The building was the residence of the Ottoman Caliphate for nearly 400 years.

This palace holds various relics of Prophet Muhammad SAW, his friends and family. There were also a number of important items attached to the Kaaba in ancient times. In the spring, the view of tulips is spread on the right and left, making travel unforgettable.

'Have you believed Bang?'

'Dad..real' While grinning Bang Ismail returned my phone.

'How'd it go, Mom? His wife is Jakarta and Mas lives in Kalimantan'

'That is the divine secret, Bang Ismail. The important thing is to be sure and continue to fit ourselves aja.jodoh will come alone, no need to be pursued, but sought to ourselves'

'Rubber.agree...' Mr. Bowo chimed in.

Bang Ismail looked seriously. At this time I think my matchmaking story might be more interesting than the tourist attractions we visit today.

Finished from Topkapi we were taken to the Basilica of Cistern.

In the 6th century, the Basilica of Cistern was the site of water supply. Built by Emperor Justinian, the depth reaches 70 m with a length of 150 m. It is surrounded by 4 m thick walls. The water in this building comes from the Beogard forest which is located 19 km from the city of Istanbul.

Located only about 58 m from Hagia Sophia, from the entrance of Basilica Cistern, tourists will go down the stairs with a fairly dark room. Arriving below, there will be support poles with a water reservoir pool around it.

'Sir Bowo if to Turkey is the first or already the umpteenth?' I asked while walking next to him.

'This is the second. Four years ago I came here for the first time.'

'I've been with Mr. Najmudin has been 4 this year, to Turkey before that was the first time I joined.'

'Hmmm....'

'If Bang Ismail?'

'I'm coming this year, Mas'

'Wah sama dong..junior means the two of us'

'Whuaaa.so feel old alone me'

And our English-speaking tour guides were of little concern to us. The three of us talked to ourselves. I was busy taking photos to save the memories and captions of the writings scattered there.

Next visit to Istanbul's Grand Bazaar. Grand Bazaar Istanbul is a common destination when visiting Turkey. The Grand Bazaar is the oldest and largest market in the world.

This market has been built since 1461 on the orders of Sultan Mehmed II, King of Turkey who was then in power. It is located in the Istanbul city complex which is also not far from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.

I plan to buy a gift for my wife. Not an expensive gift, because of the limitations that my pocket carries. And I understand the taste of my wife who doesn't like luxury goods.

I was busy paying attention and looking for what unique items I would buy for my wife.

I walked a bit slowly from Mr. Bowo and Bang Ismail, because I had a long time to pay attention to the goods sold there.

'This time we go to the Galata Tower, will be waiting in front of 30 minutes, said the tour guide, ' Mr. Bowo approached me while carrying plastic groceries in his left hand.

'Gee.have gone shopping first, Mr. Bowo'

'Yes.common souvenirs for wives and children'

Well.your meet...Looks like I'll just buy this stuff for my wife. And I started asking the price to the seller.

Surprise to my wife....

We were taken to the Galata Tower. It is one of the tallest towers in Istanbul. In addition to beautiful, the tower is located 3.5 km from Hagia Sophia also holds thousands of history.

At 66.9 meters tall, the Galata Tower was built more than 600 years ago. The tower first entered service in 1348 during the Roman Empire, taking control of the area of the city formerly known as Constantinople.

In 1965, the local government renovated the building and opened it to tourists. The interior of the tower which was once made of wood was converted into concrete. However, there was not much change in the outer appearance of the tower.

Seriate......
