The Hugger Heart
STUDYING II

'Father.exhausted between the children later we go to the acil again yes. Learning to weave mats' said me remind today's activities that are still continuing to learn to weave with acil purun.

'yes. Which package to send? Ready already? Let them be sent.'

I went inside the house and picked up the packages to be delivered.

For two weeks we routinely go back and forth to the acil purun place to learn to weave. Before weaving we learned the process of processing purun grass until it is ready to be used as material for weaving.

In addition to the webbing made from purun grass, we also plan to bring rattan wicker. Acil purun not too able to process rattan, because it is used to cultivate purun grass. The texture of different materials makes the weaving technique different.

There is one rattan craftsman that we know quite well, because indeed all this time I always go back and forth ordering woven baskets to him.

After learning to weave with acil purun, we also learned to weave rattan.

It is harder than grass. More habituation and extra caution issues. Because rattan reeds, especially the skin is quite sharp and easily injure the fingers if not careful.

'Cil...this bread is white gini is the original or bleach?'

'Dikasih bleach Bu ai..in the factory all rattan is bleached, that's the preservative. So that kada is eaten by termites'

'Ulun just weave.'

'If the skin gini?'

'Well, that's ai. In drawstring use special razor blades. Another razor for that shave.'

'Ooo Cutter huh?'

'Other bu ai....'

'Kayak gini nah..' acil rattan shows a small blade attached to the wood with a position can be used standing or grasped.

It is made of knives, iron, not a small razor and thin or a cutter that is easily broken.

The equipment used in the weaving process is similar to carpentry equipment. There are crooked scissors commonly used by gardeners to cut small twigs. There are small nails, hammer, pliers to razor blades earlier.

If you make a basket that is large enough, then nails and hammerheads will be used to hold the webbing so that it does not easily come off.

I glanced at my husband who was busy struggling with rattan reeds and trying to weave a basket.

'Can 'Can Yah?'

'Can dong.' replied my husband with a smile and rubbed the sweat on his forehead.

'Ga guess that has been holding the keyboard can also weave' said me while sitting on the mat next to him.

'If the matter of crafts was like this when Elementary School had studied. Skill Lessons in school first, we were told to make wicker basket.'

'Oya??'

My husband was born and raised in Borneo. So no wonder the typical handicraft of Kalimantan is quite familiar in its daily life. Although my real husband is of Javanese blood.

But because I am used to seeing and using woven items, my husband does not consider special crafts typical of the region where he was born.

While I, who was born and raised in the capital, just looked the opposite with a variety of woven items. Especially rattan.

I was always enthusiastic when I saw the webbing. And more enthusiastic when hearing the price mentioned by the craftsman who sold it. In the capital the price can be five times.

'Cil...order my hull basket already ordered already?' I went to Acil.

'These are already bu ai..satum ulunakan' acil went inside and soon came with two rolls of basket tied together.

One basket roll contains fifteen coconut shell-shaped baskets that open on top.

I ordered thirty baskets, to fulfill the orders of customers in Semarang and Bali who will use them as lanterns and vases in his cafe. The rest is for stock at home. Usually I will decorate with decoupage techniques and woven baskets will be more beautiful to be used as a flower vase or accessories on the dressing room table.

'It's Dad?'

'Here already...alhamdulillah' my husband showed the results of being the basket he had made.

'Still remember apparently this SD lesson'

'Diajarin Acil so remember again'

'Oooo...make it easy, Cil?'

'Leave rotated aja bu ai'

'Make Acil easy.Make I have to learn first'

'Still a lot, Cil ai'

'Assalamu'alaikum'

'Wa'alaikumussalam'

The exhibition is 75% ready. The product that is seeded to be included in this race is a large Wall Clock blend of rattan and furun webbing. The needle was made from a small tree. In order for the powerful clock machine to move the needle, we chose a twig from a small, thin tree of water.

Beberapakali tried to use other needles, ranging from pieces of purun grass, rattan bark, wood, to water starfruit tree branches. It turns out that the unique shape of the branches of the star fruit tree we choose more than others. Uniqueness, originality and high art become the standard in achieving points to win.

If there are no obstacles then later this month my husband will start heading to Jakarta to continue the flight to Turkey.

Beberapa hari belakangan ini dalam mendampingi suamiku belajar menganyam, aku mulai merasa kurang sehat. Cepat lelah dan mengantuk seringkali mendera. Namun karena kesibukan aku belum terlalu memperhatikan.

'Well..line two....'

I showed you a testpack that showed results. This is the cause of fatigue and fatigue lately.

'Mother's nausea?'

'No nausea yet'

'It just feels tired.'

In the pregnancy of my three children before, every pregnant then the first three months I will experience symptoms of morning sickness, do not like the smells and do not want to linger in the kitchen. Especially when cooking rice. It'll be vomiting and nausea.

But this time there was no nausea. It still feels light. Maybe this time I got the kind of pregnant that ain't too much of a hassle.

'Where will you fly on a plane?'

'InshaAllah ga papa, Dad. It's a little too. Pretend you don't know. But stay vigilant, ' I said

I did plan to accompany my husband to leave until Jakarta, so that the exhibition items can be transported all by plane. Free baggage of 20kg per passenger is the main reason.

For the purposes of the exhibition, the committee did provide extra baggage to all participants up to 60kg. But that's for baggage from Jakarta to Turkey and vice versa.

To bring exhibition goods from Kalimantan to Jakarta, you have to spend your own pocket. We have no sponsors from anywhere. All use their own costs, in addition to accommodation from the committee.

We had time to submit to the Local Government, but because the time was only one month, then there was nothing we could hope for.
