THE HEART OF THE MAFIA

THE HEART OF THE MAFIA
Here's Home!

“Wake up baby, don't you miss me?”

Twenty days had passed after the tension of the night and now twenty days had Alea made a tight cry accompanied by tears that seemed to never stop wetting her face.

Alea never stopped praying and prostrating to the divine to ask for the healing of her husband.

Alea who was still wearing her face also looked so calm even though not with both hands that always tremble every touch the body of the husband who is still faithful closed his eyes.

Blast her face to the side of her shoulder, with a thick hands rubbing a small warm towel on the face of her husband who has not been conscious since the incident at sea, even though his current state can already pass the critical period. Evans is unconscious.

Alea tried hard not to cry. But, it can't. Her tears always kept on pouring down her cheeks.

Although Alea knew and was also tired of crying over the man who was used to being in this condition, sleeping for days with his wound wrapped. However, her tears always wet her cheeks.

His gaze was fixed on the body of the husband who was left without clothes after replacing bandages on the waist and also two arms affected by gunshot wounds.

Sadly, when Alea noticed the body of the husband that had many similar wounds adorning her body made her feel sick, as well as horrified.

“Why, you have to live like this, Ev?” his voice sounded vibrating.

Slowly Alea's hand stretched out and gently touched the twelve wounds right on his left chest. His hands instantly trembled feeling a rough skin scar that would always leave memories and bitter wounds there.

The wounds in which Evans lives begin to be surrounded by darkness, hatred and loneliness. Gunshot wound from mother. Those painful memories involuntarily made the patter of her tears back wet her cheeks.

Alea seemed to be able to feel how the pain was the deepest of these wounds.

Closed his mouth with his hands while bowing his face next to Evans who was asleep. Alea let all her tears come back because she could not see and feel how much pain this man was suffering.

Wouldn't it be nice if this guy was protecting her?

“You're a good man, Ev. It shouldn't have been your life to give you so many wounds like this.”

No matter if anyone heard the words earlier Mika had just come into her room.

Alea just wanted to spill it all out of sadness as well as the fear of loss.

Alea slowly slid down beside Evans, hugged her husband's arm carefully and hid her face on her husband's shoulder and cried there.

“Please don't scare me, Ev. You have to survive because I still need you to be able to live in this world. I beg you,” said Alea, slowly.

His heart hurts. “Wake, Ev. Miss you. Don't you miss me, hmm?”

Alea's wailing sounded heartbreaking, never before had he imagined doing something like this to Evans Colliettie.

But the man lying next to her unconscious was her husband. The husband who had sacrificed his life to keep her safe and secure, as Evans had promised.

How could Alea just ignore it, this man. His heart was clearly in pain when he saw the pain of the man he loved. This sad loneliness.

“When time can rotate back. I just asked God, we should never have been met like this with you. If, I'm the one who jeopardized your own life.

“All this is because of me. If you live in such a cruel world. Maybe if we never met maybe your life is much better.”

Everything in her body with this pain, Alea felt all this was because of it.

If Alea had followed Evans' words to expect little and ask as much as everyone else out there, it might not have happened. Because after marrying the ruler of Italy, of course his life will be different from others.

Alea was still sobbing and carried away with sadness, until the woman did not notice any movement from her husband.

He gasped in shock when he felt the fingers held by someone and one hand gently stroked his head.

Alea raised her head, the husband's smile was broken and saw a smiling Evans happily looking at her.

As quick as lightning Alea woke up and gasped when she found out Evans was conscious and was staring at him. Her tears rolled back down her cheeks so happy to see Evans who was already awake.

Even the man stretched out his hand rubbing gently his cheek.

“I'm so grateful to see you back, my wife.”

Alea clasped Evans' hand and kissed his palm.

“E…. I'm so grateful you're back up.” Alea's tears broke again.

“Ssttt... I've regained consciousness and come back baby. Don't cry, again,” Evans said sounding, weak.

“You scared me half to death, Ev. Don't be like this, again.”

Evans smiled weakly, then pulled Alea's hand slowly so that she would re-spin her body beside him. Alea obviously rejected it.

“No, Evans. Your arm still hurts.”

“Nothing dear, come here.”

Evans pulled her forcefully and positioned her arm under Alea's neck, then hugged her shoulder while dragging in pain.

Alea, who saw him crying, knew he was in pain.

“Stay here.”

Alea nodded, hugged Evans softly and hid her face on her husband's chest and cried gratefully.

“Never say it back because I am so grateful to be able to find a woman like you, dear.”

Alea dumbfounded, “You heard it?”

Evans nodded, slowly. “Never think like that because all this time I never regret anything, Lea.

“Even if the time can be played back I want to be able to meet you early.

"I want the first man who met you and felt love with you and not another man who hurt you.”

Alea was silent and did not answer Evans' words, he just bowed his head in Evans' chest.

“Even if I can, I want to ask for no injury to your body by me!”

Alea raised her face, looking at the husband. “I'm the one who's sorry for pissing you off and hurting you, baby.”

“Ev...”.

Alea's wet eyeballs returned, Evans as if recalling his attitude towards her. The man regretted his actions.

“Do you know, baby? This is what is called returning home,” whispered while hugging tightly.

Alea looked at her husband. “This is home the most comfortable place because now there is an angelic hearted woman who always smiles warmly for me, even crying for me and not forgetting to pray for my safety.”

“Ev...”.

“I don't need anything anymore, baby. Really, all I need is you a.”

“Thank you for everything dear,” Evans said as he kissed the top of his wife's head.

“Don't ever leave me again, Ev. I was so scared when you didn't get up.”

Evans gave Alea a smile. “And I'm glad you worried about me.”

Ale snorted softly as he looked at Evans.

“Don't scare me back like this, Ev.”

Evans chuckled at the look on Alea's face that looked annoyed at him.

“No dear.”

Alea smiled again with one hand pointing towards the front of the vase of flowers containing black and white roses that contained a pair of pigeons.

“Look, you think beautiful don't you?”

“Who allowed you to go?”
