“Intinya, I endanger myself.”
“What all this is because—” muttered Alea returned Evans' gaze.
“Yes, Alea. Yours. I've never been like this before. Being able to get close and even chat casually with someone like a couple is impossible for me.
“But, now here's the payment I have to give in order to get everything.”
Alea's silence even though he could not stare at Evans, did not stop Alea's head continued to think.
What, now that guy's regretting it?
Alea took a deep breath then exhaled slowly. He also turned his face away.
“I hope you'll never regret it, Ev, because you're the one who chose it.
“No problem, Lea!”
Alea turned back and looked at the husband who was looking straight ahead. He does not understand what Evans really means.
Slowly Evans pulled her tighter, rubbing her cold fingers against her cheeks, with an intense gaze.
Evans' usual sharp gaze was shown to intimidate his opponent, as if disappearing without a trace. Now that Alea caught her warm eyes made Alea feel clearly.
“I regret many times I don't care. The woman's origin is you, Alea Anjanie,” Evans whispered before landing her deep kiss.
The gentle kiss within the husband made Alea unable to avoid anything else to resist. Alea ends up getting swept away in Evans' drunken kiss.
It might be true what Alea once concluded. If a man is steadfast in his stance and insists on believing that love is just a joke that benefits a weak man.
Then nothing will stop the man from doing anything for his woman.
The woman who had managed to touch his heart for the first time until, the man was willing to sacrifice his life which used to be his top priority to live to ignore his life.
Alea just couldn't believe it, if he was the one who could touch Evans' other side to make it like this.
“Hmps..
His errrrang sounding stifled. Evans had landed his kiss on the neck area and slowly went down to sip his chest.
Alea was sure Evans was painting back on his body that would definitely be impregnated later.
Evans has always been, like deliberately showing the sign of ownership as an absolute symbol that he is his.
Sometimes it made Alea embarrassed because the servants in the mansion often looked at her with red traces on her neck.
Evans is so annoying, but that guy can't just be stopped, can he?
Who would dare to refute that one wish?
“Ev,” call Alea slowly.
Alea closed both eyes with a long sigh. The husband seemed to be deliberately ignoring his call and was busy making paintings on his chest.
In fact, his one hand had already brushed off the torn dress until the man very easily ventured down there.
“I want pizza.”
Evans stopped the kiss on his chest. Slowly raised his head and immediately looked at Alea.
“Are you hungry, baby?”
“Yes. I'm hungry, Ev. I haven't eaten since noon. Didn't you listen to my stomach?”
“Oh..forgive me dear. I was too focused on something else, her chuckling” made Alea snort softly.
Evans again sat up straight, accompanied by his two fingers buttoning back Alea dress with buttons that had been opened by him.
The man also moved to get a pizza that might have been cold, because he had bought it since. Evans fed her a slice of pizza which Alea directly bit and chewed on.
Alea must find a way to stop Evans from making it too late on the boat despite the darkness that has enveloped the city of Naples which is now changing with moonlight in the sky. Alea ate in silence, under the gaze of Evans who was waiting for her.
“Ev, can you give me my old phone?”
Evans raises his eyebrows while looking at his wife.
“For what?”
“Communicate.”
Alea swallowed her pizza. “With you.”
“You don't need it!”
“Why? Can't I call my family, too?”
But Alea was astonished. He needs an explanation.
”Why?”
“Because I forbid it.”
“Yes, but why Evans, give the reason?”
“Not really!!!” said firmly.
Alea could not accept Evans' words that continued to forbid him. What's more Evans didn't give a reason why he wasn't allowed to use his old phone.
“I just want to contact my own family, not anyone else, Ev. Is that not allowed too?”
“Not for now, Lea. Please don't argue with me anymore!”
Evans pulls his palm, Alea dodges and descends from Evans' lap and sits on the other side of the ship.
“Until when will you treat me like this?”
“You mean?” Evans' eyebrows are intertwined.
“Captive.”
Evans frowned, trying to get close.
“Don't touch me, Evans Colliettie. I don't want to,” hiss Alea.
Evans flinched for a moment then let out a long sigh and approached the wife.
“Honey listen to me, hmm. You're not my prisoner, baby. But you are my wife,” Evans said softly.
“If it's true I'm your wife. Then treat me like your wife, not like your prisoner!
Evans was silent and turned his face the other way and it made Alea even more upset.
“You've always been like that sucks and arbitrary!”
“I have another reason darling, therefore I forbid it!”
“What reason, Ev? Explain to me that I understand your reason for forbidding me.”
Evans is frustrated.
“I beg of you, Lea. Don't be like this. I promise you that one day you'll meet your family again."
Alea fell silent, trying to judge if Evans would lie to her?
But, from her facial expression Alea did not see the lies from her husband's face. The man looked serious with words and there was also a fear that surrounded him for some reason.
‘Why is he so scared? What should I fear if I use my old phone?’ inner Alea asked.
A few seconds later, the two did not speak to each other. Alea turned her face away with a full mind, slowly recalling everything that was so draining her chest made her tears slowly descend by itself.
“What do you know, Ev?” Alea paused wiping her tears down.
“I miss my family. I miss my father even though I wasn't born of his blood.
“But it was he who helped me, gave me the same affection as his own son, until he raised me as I am today.
“I also miss my best friend who only counted fingers, Ev. I don't have many friends and my only friends are Jessie, Yhang and my foster brother Jeon. I miss them, Ev. Apa—"
Alea let her tears flow.
“Can't you let me contact them for even a little while,” Alea said with an expression pleading with her husband.
Please let Alea just contact her family once and her friends.
Alea just wanted to ask the news, that's all. Listening to their voices and their good news already made his heart relieved.
Then why would Evans be so hard off allowing it?
What is that guy really afraid of?
Alea gasped in shock as Evans cupped his face. His gaze looked wounded, gently rubbed his flowing tears with his fingers and kissed his soft lips.
“I beg of you, Lea. Don't cry like this anymore. I promise you dear, someday you will be able to meet again with your family and also your friends later.”
Alea was unmoved as Evans touched the forehead while closing his eyes. Don't know what reason Evans didn't trust him to contact his own family, but he knew he wouldn't break the promise.
From Evans' staring expression, Alea knew Evans' nimble gaze as if pleading with her.
“Oh, yes. Why did you ask Doctor Cristine to install the kb tool?”
