The Empty House

The Empty House
Chapter 11 Disruption

"We are not hungry." said Sintia as well as Rangga.

"Come on Rangga, we're going upstairs..."

Rangga and Sintia did not have a taste for food when they saw the dishes served by his mother.

The dish made the two of them want to vomit due to nausea.

The fruit smelled of blood and flesh like human flesh.

Yuck! hoek! hoek!

Stomach vomiting in the sink. Sintia is the same.

The two of them then lay themselves on the mattress belonging to Rangga.

They stared at the ceiling.

"We better not come here anymore Rangga!"

"It's already night. Where are we going?"

"We need to talk to Dad. I need to know what's going on,"

"How do you say it? He changed when Dad came home. He became like this when I left,"

"We need to meet smart people!"

"you mean? To end up like Toni's father?"

"Our neighbors can find a teacher who is better than him. We need help....!"

"alright. We'll look for him tomorrow..."

.

The next morning, Rangga and Sintia were getting ready early in the morning. His mother is not awake. And they crept out so as not to wake him up.

They walked slowly without a sound.

"Slow Rangga...."

"I know...."

They're down the stairs.

"Have you woken up?"

"It seems not yet.." replied Sintia.

They passed through the dark living room.

Kreeek.

They opened the door slowly. After coming out, they closed it slowly back up.

Sintia quickly got on the bike and joined Rangga to leave the house to seek help.

Suddenly as they passed the bridge, they saw in the distance his mother walking from the market towards them.

"That's mom. He's from the market. Let's turn around! Before you see us!"

Rangga then turned back his motorbike and passed another road.

His mother squinted her eyes when she saw the motor turning back.

"Synthia! Is he following us?" Ask Rangga while driving.

"It doesn't seem!"

"What time is it?"

"Hour 03.30....!"

"Why are you out in the middle of the night like this?"

"I don't know either. I think mom's still sleeping in her room,"

"Something's wrong!"

"We went to Nisa's house first." suggested Sintia.

They stopped at Nisa's house.

The door of the house can open at this hour and it makes Rangga and Sintia surprised.

"door's open. It's still very early,"

"Yes. Youre right. Let's go in!"

There they see Nisa passed out in the living room and all the stuff looks messy.

"What's going on?" Rangga then lifted Nisa and laid her on the sofa.

"Get me some water!"

Sintia went to the kitchen to get some water.

Rangga splashed a little water on Nisa's face.

Slowly Nisa opened her eyes

"Sisa. It's our...Rangga and Sintia!"

Nisa then hugged Sintia.

"I'm scared. The ghost wants to kill me...."

Sintia and Rangga looked at each other.

"What....?!"

Nisa then tells if the ghost resembles the face of their mother.

"We'd better go to the smart guy. This can't be allowed to go!"

"You're right. If it's not our mother, then where is it?"

Sintia started crying because she was worried about her mother.

.

Rangga, Sintia, Rudi and Nisa meet a woman who is already a hundred years old.

The woman can still walk even with a cane. According to some residents, Ni Sumbi can see and talk also expel the spirit.

"Ni..meaning our arrival because we ....."

"I already know cu....."

"So Ni Sumbi already knows?"

"I know what you're coming for. You guys were bullied by the residents of that empty house, weren't you?"

"Certainly Ni..."

Alright. I'll meditate first.

Ni Sumbi then closed his eyes and his mouth uttered a spell.

Not long after that he opened his eyes and looked at his guests.

"They are so many. It's hard to throw them all out. I myself feel unable to do that," said Ni Sumbi to his guests.

"Then what should we do?"

"The house has been empty for too long. There are many creatures gathered there. Of those who died due to accidents, suicide and some due to childbirth. They're all very strong. Against them all could be gone,"

"So Ni Sumbi can't help us?" ask Sintia.

Ni Sumbi shook his head.

"Then we'll excuse Ni. We'll come back later...."

Rangga and his friends went home empty-handed. Though they had traveled a long way to meet Ni Sumbi. But if people as great as Ni Sumbi are not able to expel the spirits in the house, then who can help them.

"What should we do Rangga?"

"We need to see Dad. We'll explain to him before one of us dies,"

"But I'm out of town, man,"

"Tomorrow daddy's home. Just sent a message,"

.

Meanwhile, the residents began to fret. They gossip that since the empty house was inhabited, the ghosts actually roamed the houses of the residents.

Yesterday Mr. Bani saw the pocong when he was leaving for the rice field at 3.30 am. Mr. Bani was forced to go down in the early hours because at 7 am he had to work as a building porters.

If not to the early morning rice fields then the rice fields are not taken care of.

Then Miss Roslan, she was chased by a kuntilanak ghost when she came home from the market.

He used to go to the market at 12:00pm and come home at 3am. He sells vegetables at night to traders and goes home before dawn to take care of his son who is going to school.

But when passing through the empty house, he was chased by kuntilanak until he fainted and when listening to the sound of dawn, he was awakened by passers-by.

Not only the two of them, now Joni also did not dare to go to the field to pick up bamboo that had been cut down, to be sold early in the morning, and now he did not dare to go to the fields to pick up bamboo that had been cut down, because he was met by pocong and also gendruwo who disturbed him.

Now after the Islamic prayer is finished the residents gathered at the home of Mr. Bayan.

"This can't be allowed, sir. Ever since the townspeople occupied the empty house, the ghosts there started to disturb the citizens,"

"Yes right, I'm sure the spirits who live there are angry and then running everywhere. If it continues to be allowed then we will be affected. We who often go at night to make a living, become distracted,"

"We have to go to the owner of the house,"

"Yes, we should talk about this to them. I hear tomorrow Mr. Karya Dayang from out of town. We'll talk to him,"

"I agree with you,"

They agreed to meet Mr. Karya tomorrow afternoon.

They'll complain about what's happened lately.

And all this has something to do with the habitation of the house that has been empty for years.

They assume the ghosts and spirits are angry because at his home, then began to disturb all residents who live there.
