Yellow Mainland

Xu Lian and Zhang Xiuhuan continued their journey in silence after a sudden attack.

They both came out of the forest and before them lay the yellow land.

"What place is this?" Xu Lian had indeed never come out of the palace, so he did not know the areas around the kingdom.

"Yellow Land" Zhang Xiuhuan said. Large land and yellow land, in the west there are hills that are pointed with a brownish yellow color. In the south of the land there is a yellow river.

"We should rest here first before passing through the Yellow Land" Zhang Xiuhuan said.

"All right"

"I'm going to go find food" Xu Lian simply nodded his head.

Xu Lian sat under a tree and stared at the vast land without any living plants. Plus the dark day that indicates the moon soon appears. Xu Lian sat down and pondered over everything that had happened in his life.

"Hey are you okay?" Xu Lian was shocked when Zhang Xiuhuan was already beside him and patted Xu Lian on the shoulder.

"I'm okay"

"I got the two roosters earlier" Xu Lian looked at the two roosters in Zhang Xiuhuan's hands.

Zhang Xiuhuan lit the fire from the woods he had been looking for before.

"Why are you wearing a mask" Xu Lian asked suddenly.

"I don't want to scare anyone" Zhang Xiuhuan looked at Xu Lian and refocused himself on the bonfire he was building.

"What do you mean, your face is worse than your mask" Zhang Xiuhuan did not reply to Xu Lian saying he was more focused on roasting his hen.

"Can I see your face?" xu Lian asked carefully.

"Why do you want to see my face?" zhang Xiuhuan asked.

"Why really? can't I see your face? I'm just curious about your face" Xu Lian said furiously.

"I'm afraid that if you see my face, you'll fall in love with me" Xu Lian glared at Zhang Xiuhuan's bellowing remark.

"Well what do you say in love?, I won't fall in love with a strange man like you" Xu Lian folded his hands under his chest.

"Have no anger, this is a quick meal" Zhang Xiuhuan gave the chicken he had roasted to Xu Lian.

"Why is it just one, you don't eat?" Xu Lian felt astonished, why did Zhang Xiuhuan only roast one chicken.

"Why? you worried about my health?" zhang Xiuhuan said teasingly.

"Who's worried about you too, I'm just asking" Xu Lian said in annoyance.

"What's the difference between worrying and asking?" Zhang Xiuhuan began to provoke Xu lian's anger.

"Have it, I don't know" Xu Lian decided to eat the chicken that Zhang Xiuhuan had given him without looking at Zhang Xiuhuan who was staring at him.

Zhang Xiuhuan and Xu Lian continued on their way after getting enough rest. They walked in a vast empty land, without any plants. Xu Lian walked silently without wanting to start a conversation with the man beside her.

"We have a guest apparently" Xu Lian stopped his steps and looked at Zhang Xiuhuan in surprise.

"What do you mean?" xu Lian asked confusedly.

"Compose!" Zhang Xiuhuan shouted out abruptly as a spear pointed at them. Xu Lian who was unprepared for the attack could only follow what Zhang Xiuhuan had said.

"Who are they?" asked Xu Lian growled.

"Maybe the old assassin thought it was a lease again" Zhang Xiuhuan said casually.

From behind them were dozens of horses and their riders carrying spear guns in each of their hands. Zhang Xiuhuan and Xu Lian did not intend to run away they remained silent standing at the beginning of their attack. A swarm of attacking men surrounded Zhang Xiuhuan as well as Xu Lian by riding their horses.

"You can't go anywhere anymore!" said one of the riding men who is the chairman of them all because it looks from his clothes more complete with armor.

"You mean you and your friends who can't go anywhere anymore" Zhang Xiuhuan said casually.

"Kill them!!"

Zhang Xiuhuan leaped up with Xu Lian in order for them to break free of the enemy's encirclement, Zhang Xiuhuan lowered Xu lian when things were safer and directly took his sword from behind his back, Zhang Xihuan received the incoming attack as well as Xu Lian.

Zhang Xiuhuan attacked the nearby horses for them to fall down as well as the riders, without Zhang Xiuhuan's pity beheading all the fallen riders' heads. In contrast to Zhang Xiuhuan, Xu Lian was in a cornered position instead because he lacked real combat experience even with a horse-ridden opponent, it was very difficult to attack his opponent.

From the underground it shook like a small earthquake that made the humans who were fighting on it lose their balance.

Zhang Xiuhuan paid no heed to their incoming attacks, he immediately jumped towards Xu Lian and carried him away away from the trembling area.

From the ground came a nine-headed snake with a body that was the size of an ordinary house. The snake ate the horsemen around it.

"The smile of Ceaser is a thousand years old" Zhang Xiuhuan said in shock.

"Is the snake dangerous?" asked Xu Lian plainly.

"Even very dangerous, a thousand-year-old demon, he already has human-like thoughts" Zhang Xiuhuan said seriously.

"We'd better just go!" Zhang Xiuhuan pulled Xu Lian's wrist and dashed quickly away from the snake. But it was unexpected by the two of them if the snake started chasing them at high speed.

Zhang Xiuhuan had no other choice but to fight the snake.

"You run" Zhang Xiuhuan told Xu Lian.

"But what about you?" Xu Lian started to feel worried about Zhang Xiuhuan.

"I will hold it for a while" Zhang Xiuhuan raised his sword and charged towards the giant snake. Xu Lian was still silent where he did not want to die Zhang Xiuhuan himself but what power he also could not help Zhang Xiuhuan against the huge snake.

Zhang Xiuhuan leaped towards the side to dodge the attack from the snake, and directly attacked it. Zhang Xiuhuan slashed one of the heads but what happened was unbelievable, on the part of the head cut by Zhang Xiuhuan grew back two snake heads at once. Zhang Xiuhuan began to be puzzled as to how to immobilize this stealth snake before him.

Xu Lian began to feel anxious when he saw Zhang Xiuhuan's state of being cornered due to the attack by the huge snake. Zhang Xiuhuan could not act recklessly to attack the snake because what was about to happen was not that the snake was getting dying but getting stronger.

"Our DNA has used a lot of internal energy but the snake has not been scratched" Pete said furiously. Zhang Xiuhuan started to let his guard down as he was exhausted so he did not notice the attack from the snake's tail behind him.

"Xiuhuan is behind you!" yelled Xu Lian.

Zhang Xiuhuan was not ready to take the attack so he did not have time to dodge or fend off, but before the snake's tail hit Zhang Xiuhuan's body, dozens of axes flew from above the sky and attacked the stealth snake.
