The CURSE: Deadly Games

The CURSE: Deadly Games
● THIRTY ONE ●

Everything's dark. In just an instant Baylor and Eleanor have reached another world unknown to anyone. As smart and genius as anything, no one knows and understands how the game world works.

"Welcome to the Deadly Game!"

The voice greeted Eleanor and Baylor who had just landed after falling vertically from the sky with a sinister tone.

The two stood up and patted their hands so that the dust from their hands that accidentally touched the ground during the fall would not follow them for too long.

The golden gate, the towering gate once emitted a white, air-cold smoke at the bottom of the gate.

Three people stood in front of Eleanor and Baylor waiting for the arrival of her two guests to approach. Two of the three men were warriors with spears on their left hands as well as an entire body covered in protected iron standing beside the golden gate and in front of the hard concrete.

Meanwhile, one person was left standing in the middle and in front of that golden gate. He was not an ordinary soldier like the one next to him, he looked more like a private secretary than his fashion. The spearless hand was restrained in front of his stomach and tucked into a folded cardboard board that was squeezed between his stomach and his hands.

Eleanor and Baylor who had just realized that this was not the human world anymore slowly walked towards the person who was standing neatly and upright waiting for the two.

The two of them joined hands tightly in fear of the new world and strangers. Plus, the cold was piercing and always revolved around their necks.

The secretary-like person walked up to Eleanor and Baylor who seemed to still hesitate to get close. The first thing he did after being right in front of the two was to bow first. The hunchback even looks so perfect and in tune that it signifies that he is so wonderfully trained.

"Welcome Miss Eleanor and Mr. Baylor" said the man after his bowing.

One thing Eleanor and Baylor marveled at was the name of those who had known without them having to introduce themselves. This signified that this world had dug in and knew their information well even before his arrival.

"E-e-e-e-."

Not even a word can be uttered by both of them. Both are still confused as to what happened and where they are at the moment. As if they had only been a few minutes away, they were holding hands above the black hole and chanting the spell.

"Deadley? It's nothing like what Santi said despite being creepy, "their inner self recalls the first voice that sounded after they arrived.

"Deliver you, my name is Mr. W," he said first to see Eleanor and Baylor who were still afraid so that awkwardness could not be created.

His lips that had previously been widened were now even more raised until the wideness was too excessive. Mr's hand. W it gave a folded cardboard board that the two saw very early when analyzing the living creatures, which has not been ascertained whether it is a human like the two of them.

Baylor grabs the board from Mr. W. representing Eleanor and unfolds it. There is a thin circular line in some corners of the line there are 5 colored circles.

In the first circle is dark gray with the word 'start' in it. Then followed by a light blue color approaching white, red color like burning embers, elegant pink fuschia, and the last solid black color arranged in sequence. Not only that, in the upper left corner, also drawn 5 pieces of gold love shape and a red button located below it.

"What's this?" baylor asked after seeing her with Eleanor.

Although he was still quite afraid, but his curiosity was higher and he felt it was indeed a questionable matter. A thousand people who saw it would definitely ask the same thing.

But Mr. W just smiled and said, "What if we go in first?"

Without hearing Baylor and Eleanor's opinion, he immediately twisted his body slightly and spread his hands towards the golden gate that was impossible to climb to see the height that could not be seen where it ended up, plus the thick air-conditioned smoke adds to its mysterious side.

The three headed to that gate with Mr. W who knows better his place leads them both inward.

Nyitt....

The sound of the open gate somehow felt a little more graceful and different from the usual gates.

It was unexpected!

Eleanor and Baylor follow Mr. W and stand on the black and white of the hallway, which may make them dizzy if too long trapped in it. Politeness Mr. W never faded on Eleanor and Baylor as seen from her hand that kept pressing down on her stomach even though she was much more senior than the two.

Out of the hallway, believe me, only the night sky that looks filled with twinkling stars makes it beautiful. Not just above the sky as you think, but even when looking below it is still the sky. Only a not-so-broad mini stage could be stepped into hovering between the endless starry skies. The black-and-white passageway had never been seen again, just vanishing as they exited from it.

"Again, Welcome to Deadly Game!" greet Mr. W's back.

"As you know, you have to finish the game in this world. That cardboard board is a game map. Every circle is a game you have to win. When you have made it through one game, then the check mark will appear by itself on the paper," he explained.

Baylor and Eleanor were amazed and afraid and could not believe her explanation.

After taking a short breath, Mr. W is back talking. "One more thing, we don't hesitate to lay down your lives. I think I can only get you here. Goodluck!"

Then Mr. W turned around and walked away from them.

"But-but Mr. W, what do these buttons and love mean?" ask Baylor.

"Mrs. W?" call 'em.

There was no word of reaction from Mr. W, it just goes on and on until it is lost between the dark blue sky of the starry night leaving the two laity who are still wondering that.

The cold was not ceaselessly happy to envelop his two new friends to make them afraid and trembling.

"How is this, Lor? I fear. I don't even know what to do" said Eleanor.

His words were pure with what he felt seen from the look of his face that began to resign.

"I don't know, Ele. How can we start and solve the challenge?" ask Baylor who was no less surprised.

They stared at the map without saying anything, trying to find a way out.

"Ele, what does this button mean?" baylor said after a moment of silence observing the cardboard stick of the map.

"I don't know. Maybe ... button to start like in the movies?" guess Eleanor.

"I think it's like that too" Baylor said, agreeing with him.

"You ready?" asked Baylor who only answered a hesitant nod from Eleanor.

Baylor's agile finger immediately pressed that red button and sure enough, something happened. The floor on which they stood began to shake violently showing off its power, even the beautiful ceiling began to disappear, the twinkling light of the little star began to disappear replaced by something new.

They were both sprawled on the floor due to the increasingly intense shaking making their bodies unable to maintain balance to stand. Eleanor crawled slowly towards Baylor and leaned her body against Baylor's firm chest. He did not dare to open his eyes even a blink, nor did Baylor.

After the intense shaking stopped, the two of them opened their eyes slowly.

"WHAT?!" yell at both at the same time.

"WHAT?! WHAT'S?! WHAT?!" their screams echoed incessantly there.

How could such a beautiful ceiling have turned into a pitch-black cave of endless length?
