The CURSE: Deadly Games

The sky was still dark back then but time had shown a new morning.

"Ready?" baylor asked who had arranged navigation to the city of Wideon and all their necessities had been sitting behind him and Eleanor.

Baylor started driving his car after the nod he received from Eleanor.

The city is not close. It may take about 1 or 2 days to get there. Wideon city is like an abandoned city or rather called a village. The city consists of only a few houses whose facilities are still held accountable by the government. There are no stations, the nearest airport does not exist, making it difficult to reach the city.

For the first few hours Eleanor and Baylor were still able to enjoy the ride. The sound of music coming out of the car speakers is able to express the sound of the engine and also their conversation.

While Baylor was busy driving, Eleanor was busy eating the snacks she had prepared the day before while occasionally feeding Baylor the delicious food.

When Eleanor reaches the time to transform into a monster, Baylor immediately searches for a restaurant. In addition to eating, they intend to borrow a toilet for the Eleanor monster because a car full of their gear is not enough room for his large body.

"Ele, what do you want to eat? I'll order you first" Baylor asked Eleanor, who was clutching her change of clothes.

"Hmmm," he focused his eyes on the menu hanging over the cashier, "fried rice, deh."

Next he left Baylor and his order step by step to the stuffy bathroom, fortunately the size is not too small.

20 Minutes have passed. Eleanor had reached the dining table with the food that filled her.

They both ate it up as quickly and as quickly as possible.

"Lor, replace me with the drive" said Eleanor, who felt guilty to Baylor.

"No, Ele. I'm still strong, really," Baylor strongly argued.

"No. Please, once," please Eleanor. He tried to perhaps plead in a sweetened tone.

"Yaudah, but just a minute, yeah," Baylor's permission but on condition.

A few hours passed with two people confined in an engine-controlled car.

Filling gasoline, dinner, breakfast, lunch, sleep, all the life cycles that normal humans do also do them even though they are in that small room.

"Bay, it's a long way off, anyway?" asked Eleanor whose body was already numb just sitting for a whole day.

"Hmm." Baylor's eyes glanced at his navigator. "Half more days, Ele."

"Hufft."

Jeplakkkk (the sound of Eleanor's head coming into contact with the windshield).

"Duh, what the hell, Lor?" eleanor asked as she rubbed her aching head.

"Why??" eleanor asked again in a furious tone.

"The car broke down" Baylor explained.

"Well, is there no gasoline?" ask Eleanor again.

"No, the cake is a machine problem, huh. Try me to check, yeah," Baylor said, then got out of the car.

Shortly after, Baylor's glass gives Eleanor an X. Eleanor rushed out.

"No way, Nor" Baylor said. He began to look around the quiet amidst the many trees that managed to be cut asphalt. "I think we should walk, no. It's close too."

"The road has no taxis. We don't want to walk tomorrow either. Mending now we go straight, mumpung yet dark-dark very," Baylor long chirp.

"Yes, yuk!" take Eleanor half-lazy.

They opened the back door and took out the packed suitcase.

Baylor clutched a large suitcase, while Eleanor held only a small bag. The two walked quickly hoping that the housing would soon appear in the middle of the silence they were living.

"Lor," he said a little excited when looking at housing. It just looks dark from there.

"Lor, are you sure you want to come in?" eleanor was a little scared. His body began to shake. The feathers stood neatly lined.

"I-yes, I have to," Baylor said, but he tried hard to swallow the saliva that seemed to be stuck something.

Eleanor clasped Baylor's arm tightly and continued to approach the city of Wideon.

Arriving in front of the city or village, the two stared at each other. Eleanor shook her head and her legs began to retreat backwards. However, upon seeing Eleanor's tiny face, he again recalled his promise to himself to free and help Eleanor, even with his own life.

"No, Ele. I'm with you" she assured Eleanor and pulled Eleanor into the city.

Just as they had set their feet through the city gate, suddenly the ground around them shook violently, so they could not stand up and fell on the ground.

"Ele, are you okay?" baylor asked Eleanor.

Eleanor replied, suddenly around them a thick black ash, thick to cover their vision.

"Ele, hold on to me and stay with me. Let us not be separated" said Baylor to give a warning to Eleanor.

They tried to crawl out of the smoke. However, the more they tried to get out, the fumes grew thicker and thicker. They are in a vicious circle! There's no way out.

"Hahaha, who are you guys? How dare you disturb all of us. If you had dared to come here, then you should have known the consequences. You can't just walk in if you don't make it through our challenge. The key to your success is reminding each other." There was such a frightening and sinister voice coming from all around them, like the sound of a child's egret.

The smoke slowly began to thin until it disappeared without a trace. The sun shone on them so brightly. Hot spirits began to envelop them. I don't know what happened, but they experienced tremendous heat, such as the heat of the Sahara desert, when it was already afternoon.

They try to look left and right, again and again, trying to find the direction of the sound, but the results are nil. There's no one there. There were only empty houses that looked shabby. They looked around them with jelly, not a single footprint. They stared at each other, swallowing with difficulty their saliva while wiping away the cold sweat that continued to pour.

"I don't know. Did you hear what that voice said? We have to face that challenge. But now there seems to be no challenge other than the hot afternoon sun" Baylor said, then they were stunned and stunned.

They are like people who have lost their minds. They walk around and try to digest the incident before something happens.

"Lor, look at that, there's a small pond. Maybe we can have a drink there" said Eleanor, then pulled Baylor's hand toward the pool, which was about 5 meters away.

"Wait, Ele. As I recall before we were surrounded by smoke there was no pool there" Baylor said, holding Eleanor back from going there.

"Who cares? I don't want to die of dehydration" Eleanor said.

Eleanor ran like a child towards the pool. Baylor will not follow Eleanor. They were silent for a moment and looked at the water in the pond. Eleanor then bent down, trying to fetch water with her palm.

"Haha...." The laughing voice was only heard by Baylor. He digested with detail the meaning of the laughter.

"Don't drink the water, Ele! The water may be poisonous. The key to success is reminding each other, remember? Maybe this means, I remember exactly there was no pool. Don't be tempted, Ele!" baylor repeats the words of the mystery man, trying to stop Eleanor from drinking the water.

"Yes, you're right" said Eleanor, and she immediately threw out the water in her palm and moved away from the pool. It looks like it's completely dehydrated.

Suddenly, the voice sounded again. "The next challenge."

They stared at each other fearfully like fools before the next challenge began.

"Awas, Ele! The monster's coming towards us!" baylor shouted and pulled Eleanor closer to him.
