THIRTY NINE

As soon as dinner Arion followed Roger to the workspace inside the mansion. He was astonished that his father had suddenly become quiet.

Once inside the room Arion and Roger were sitting opposite each other.

"What do you want to talk about?." Ask Arion without a stale base.

"What was your relationship with that girl that day?." Roger asked back with a tone of emphasis.

"Why did Papa ask that?." Arion answered with a question.

Roger was upset.

"Jawab it's Rion! you don't test Papa's patience." Roger looked at his son with a sharp look.

For a moment Arion was stunned, he felt that this might be the right time to tell his Papa.

Then with a firm heart, Arion answered.

"She is my lover, and I hope from now on Papa cancels my match with the Shire. Because whenever I can't love him, Pa." Said Arion with a real face, he was ready to accept all the risks he would face.

Roger's face froze when he heard his son's words.

Then he sighed softly before saying.

"Rion, actually Papa had guessed it, Papa is sure you must have a relationship with the girl. But there's something Papa wants to say, and Papa hopes you'll comply with Papa's request."

"Why tell me more?."

"From now on stay away from that girl Rion, you can't be with her."

Arion rounded his eyes, though he had expected what his father would say. But still he felt surprised and did not accept the words of his father.

"Son, I don't want Pa." Arion shook his head as he woke up "It's been enough all this time I obey Papa's request, don't expect this time I want to obey Papa's request again."

It was seen that Arion was holding back his wrath.

Roger also stood up, he crossed his arms while staring intently at his son.

"Alright, if you still stick around then the girl will be wretched. Now just choose, want to stay away and forget him or you choose to see the girl wretched." Roger issued a threat that did not seem to be playing games.

Arion screeched in annoyance as he rubbed his face violently.

"But what's the reason Papa didn't let me date Elmira?." Ask Arion.

For a moment Roger was stunned.

"Because he doesn't deserve you, Rion." Said Roger flat.

But Arion could see if the Papa was hiding something.

"I don't want to share with Elmira, no matter how hard Papa forbids her I still don't want to part with her." Arion said firmly.

Then Arion left holding back his anger.

Seeing Arion leave just like that, Roger sighed softly.

Slowly he sat back down, then opened the bottom drawer of his desk. It appears Roger released a photo album, he turned one by one the photo sheets.

Until then he saw an old photo, a photo of his late mother as young as ever.

Roger looked at the photo for a long time.

"Mother's face with the girl is really similar." Roger murmured, suddenly his heart became agitated.

Moreover, he was reminded of Ervin's report this afternoon.

The flashback

"Sir, this is all the data on that girl named Elmira." Ervin said as he thrust out a map.

Roger took it and immediately read the girl's bio.

"Tell me what you know!." Tell Roger while his eyes remain focused on reading the writing on the paper.

"The girl is from the village of Tuan, she attended Light Stars for getting a scholarship. He used to be famous as an outstanding student, but unfortunately he was also bullied by his friends." Ervin explained at length.

"Continue!."

"And since childhood he only lived with his father who works as a vegetable farmer. But something's wrong with her parents, sir." Ervin.

Roger seemed interested.

"What's that?." Ask.

"They were not natives there, sir, said the resident who was there about twenty years ago there was a man who came with his newborn child. The arrival of the man had invited many questions in the minds of the residents, but they still accepted both with pleasure. Especially after they find out if the baby does not have a mother." Ervin ended the story.

"Where's the awkwardness?."

"The residents there still remember Sir, when the first man came his appearance was very sad, even the man did not bring clothes like a transfer person in general. When the residents there asked the man only replied that he had just been hit by a disaster. Doesn't the man's arrival look awkward sir?." Ask Ervin.

Roger just nodded his head, he had no intention of answering his assistant's questions at all.

"Yes you can go."

Without waiting again Ervin rushed away from his boss's office.

After the death of his assistant, Roger returned to read Elmira's biodata.

Flashback.

Roger finally closed the album, he did not dare to draw any conclusions before getting accurate evidence.

And he has to move fast or things are going to get messy.

Roger only hoped that his son would change his mind and stay away from the girl named Elmira.

In addition, Roger also had to act secretly, lest his father know about the problems he faces at this time. And he also hoped that all the conjectures in his mind were just coincidences.

Until late at night Roger was still awake in his study, somehow his mind felt very chaotic.

Roger was in a strange place, a barren field with blackened trees as if burned. All the trees are high towering with long branches without a leaf attached there.

'What is this place?' Roger muttered as his gaze scanned all directions.

He continued to step forward slowly, there was a sense of worry within him as he realized that there was no one around him.

Suddenly from behind the trees appeared a little girl in a shabby white dress and frowny hair.

Roger was amazed by the appearance of the girl.

The little girl stared at Roger.

'You're who? why wander alone?' Roger asked as he walked closer to the girl.

The little girl did not answer, she turned her body and then walked away.

Seeing this, Roger quickly followed the girl, hoping she could get out of the strange place.

Somehow suddenly Roger and the girl were already on the edge of a ravine, under the abyss there was a fire burning.

'What is this in Hell?' Roger murmured while shuddering in horror as he looked down at the abyss.

'Where are we?' Roger asked the little girl nearby.

The girl who was originally staring down the abyss now slowly turned her head towards Roger.

The man stared fixedly at the face of the girl, a moment later Roger was shocked.

'Ka, you,,?'

Roger blinked his eyes to confirm his vision.

Slowly the little girl approached Roger with a sharp look.

'Jahatttt,,,,,'

Shouted the little girl while pushing Roger towards the edge of the abyss.

'Akhhh,,, 'tidaakkkk,,,,'

Roger's body glided freely down the ravine with fire ready to devour his body.

Gedebughh,,,,, uh,,,,

"Ohhh,,,."

Roger woke up complaining that he had fallen off the couch. Apparently he fell asleep on the couch in his study, and because of the strange dream he fell and made him wake up.

Withstanding the pain on his shoulder Roger stood up, then he sat leaning back on the sofa to calm his racing heart, besides sweat also flooding his forehead.

"That weird dream again."Roger murmured while looking at the new clock showing at two in the morning "Does this dream have anything to do with the past or is it a sign?". Mumbled again.

"And the girl's face why did it turn into the face of her boyfriend Arion?". Many questions came up for Roger.

But one thing Roger forgot was the phrase that was shouted by the little girl.

Because of his agitated feelings, Roger could not continue his sleep.
