Chapter 7 Preparation Towards the Lab

"Don't ask anything that's hard to answer right now" Teo said.

"I'm serious, if professor Agasa is the one responsible for the energy storm tragedy, that means he knows at least one way to get home" Clara thought.

The woman about the same age as Teo turned to get an answer from Agasa.

"I do know, but for now, it's still quite impossible" replied Agasa.

"What's that?" Ask Clara.

He insisted on wanting to know. If that's impossible now, it could be done someday.

"Arc Quantum Reactors. The same tool as the Quantum Ark but in a smaller form that will form an energy storm again. The idea is to create a time paradox to return to our earth. It's like a time distortion, like that" Agasa explained.

"It's like a time passage? Or a time machine?" Think Clara.

"More or less so" replied Agasa.

Professor Agasa carried the blueprints of the Quantum Reactor Arc he was working on, but they were not completely finished.

"This is the blueprint I'm working on" Agasa said.

Clara, Teo and Alwi see the blueprints. Although they did not understand, but the three of them were very enthusiastic about the thing that could make them go home.

"What should we do first to make this tool?" Ask Clara.

"I need a lab for research. Then some basic materials such as metal to make the reactor body. And some elements to make the reactor core" Agasa explained.

"Alwi does not understand, but Alwi can help to find the ingredients" said the innocent boy.

"It's not about looking for materials, but we have to go around the city to look for all those things" Teo said.

"Do you think there is a place in Jakarta like a super-complete laboratory that we can go to?" Ask Clara.

"Wait a minute, you're not from Indonesia?" Ask Agasa.

He was so surprised because Clara did not know the ins and outs in the Jakarta area. 

"I'm from Germany, sorry to disappoint you" Clara said with a smile.

Teo thought, he just remembered a place belonging to the government that was on the earth where he came from.

"There was. Batan Laboratory. That place we can use. It is in South Jakarta. Somewhat far, but we can do if we work together," explained Teo.

"Is there in south Jakarta? Does that mean I have to go back there again?" Clara Complaints.

"What's the plan?" Ask Agasa.

"Today we prepare all the supplies. Everything we can bring to survive on the street and in the lab building" Teo said.

"I wish we could get there" said Clara.

"I wish we could come back here alive. That's enough" said Teo.

Teo began to split the tasks for the four of them. Teo assigned Alwi to bring canned food for supplies along the way, as well as mineral water. 

Then, Agasa was assigned to bring some equipment such as tools or things that can be used such as mini stoves and portable gas cylinders and camping tents. 

"You prepared how many weapons for us to use?" Ask Clara. 

He followed Teo to look into the warehouse.

"Lumayan, maybe the flare gun you brought could also be useful later" Teo replied.

They both went into the office warehouse. There Teo put his katana, bow and arrow, several types of knives, spears, pistols belonging to Jeremiah & active grenades amounted to 10 pieces.

"You're really crazy! This is all an interesting weapon, "shake Clara with a big smile.

Elsewhere, Agasa and Alwi hunt for groceries and some support materials in the shopping mall area.

"Don't venture too far, remember!" Agasa.

The two of them began to split up. Alwi and Agasa each brought a sizable backpack and two more backpacks for Teo and Clara.

"Why did you choose to be with the two of them?" Ask Clara.

"What do you mean?" Tanya Teo is back. He feels confused.

"You are good at using weapons and can also use martial techniques. To be honest, among the four of us, you have a great chance of living a long life" Clara thought.

"Is that bothering you? About why I stayed with Professor and Alwi?" Ask Teo.

"Maybe. I just want to know why. When you can survive on your own and don't have to be bothered by them, you choose to protect them instead" Clara thought.

"What do you think you can gain from surviving in this almost perished world?" Teo asked while preparing the entire type of blade.

"Living?" Answer Clara.

"Lonely," replied Teo.

"You may survive, but you will walk around all the time in lonely shackles. Second, the despair. You will feel that you are alone in this world of trash. And someday, it's just a matter of time for you to choose suicide instead of living alone" Teo thought.

Clara nodded. He understood why Teo did all that. It's true, it's not fun to wander alone and end up lonely in this 99% broken world.

"Right as well, but that hasn't been a compelling reason to be accepted. You have family in the real world, and they're waiting for you. They've been enough to be your motivation back, haven't they? Think Clara.

"The bottom line is, I need someone who's very smart and has a superior IQ to make the motivation you say it's a reality. Alias, I need someone who can create an Arc Quantum Reactor like Professor Agasa to get back to the real world" Teo explained.

"Do you think someone like me can think of a way to make a reactor like that?" Ask Teo.

"Good answer" said Clara.

Teo and Clara took all the weapons out of the warehouse. Agasa and Alwi have returned with two backpacks that are full of food and supporting tools. 

They both give the two backpack to Teo and Clara to be filled with weapons.

"This gun has only 5 decays left, it's going to be pretty useless" Clara thought.

"Professor, can you make a bullet for this gun?" Ask Teo.

"Of course, if there is a bullet printer," replied Agasa.

"Where can we get that device?" Ask Alwi.

"Can you make a printout of that tool?" Ask Teo. 

"Impossible for now, it takes time to finish the bullet mould. After that, we also have to print the bullet. It's better to use an arrow, it's much more effective" Agasa explained.

"Well, for now we should rest. Prepare mentally and energy, it will be a factor to be able to continue to live" said Teo.

Teo went downstairs to look for something in the shopping mall area. Clara and Agasa decided to relax on the rooftop. 

While Alwi chose to practice using an arrow bow with the target of a drink can.

"Professor, I'd like to ask you a question" said Clara.

"Please" replied Agasa.

"How many percent of the success of the Arc Quantum Reactor to bring us home?" Ask Clara.

"Honestly, the Arc Quantum Reactor is something impossible in a world that has been destroyed like this. Something that could be just a myth to create. But, if we don't do it, it means we give up and choose to stay for the rest of our lives in this world" Agasa thought.

"Do you think there are still local people in the world who are still alive besides The Unknown?" Ask Clara.

"Maybe," thought Agasa.
