Chapter 3 Ideas of Arc Quantum Reactor
"It's cold" Agasa said.
The night became so very cold, it felt a gust of wind in this dead city so bone-piercing. The bonfire that Agasa turned on became the only body warmer.
Agasa and Teo managed to make a simple tent out of some leftover materials in the shopping mall. They were so hungry, the food that was there and looked still worth eating was just a bunch of sardines.
They also did not want to know if the food had already passed its expiration date or not. The most important thing for both of them is that they are full.
Blind about days, hours, even years makes Teo feel stupid and think if he is useless.
"If there were no gas cylinders, we might be starving to death by now" Teo said.
He was warming up a canned sardine with a mini gas stove he found in the food court area.
"We must find other food sources such as wild animals as soon as possible" Agasa said. He stretched his hand closer towards the campfire.
"Had there been, I thought they were all extinct by now. Just imagine, how many zombies there are in this world, and how many animals are left?" thought Teo was hesitant.
"Hey, look up at the sky. The stars are so beautiful, aren't they?" Agasa said so amazed by the bright night sky in the dead city.
"Wherever the place is, the stars will always shine brightly, and now it's up to you to take the time to see all that or not" Teo said.
"What do you work for in the real world?" Ask Agasa.
Suddenly the old man shifted the topic.
"Just a freelancer," Teo replied.
"really? I'd rather believe you were a spy agent" Agasa said.
He downed a glass of water he found in the sink of the employee room above the rooftop. The water must have been cooked first.
"It's up to you to assume what," said Teo, who did not want to respond.
"Where do you think we should go?" Ask Agasa.
The old man turned his head towards the young man who looked so enjoying cooking his sardines.
"If we were just trying to survive in a world completely destroyed by this apocalypse, I thought we would only survive for about a month. It was already a miracle" Agasa thought.
"Think, we can't communicate with the real world, nor do we know if any of us are stranded in this world or not" Teo said.
"What is the most effective way to survive? It's all the biggest fear for humanity when it's cornered, isn't it?" Added Teo.
Agasa explained who he was. Although a little afraid of Teo's assumptions and judgments, he must be honest with his new partner.
"I'm someone who works at Quark Corp. And I'm one of the higher-ups responsible for that burst of energy storm." Agasa. He feels so guilty.
"I don't care about it, all I care about is how you use your brain to create something again, create an opportunity for us to go home" Teo said.
"A chance?" Ask Agasa.
"We have unlimited resources in this dead world, Professor," Teo said.
Agasa was just aware of Teo's words. He could use it all for anything.
"You're right, if we get rid of the fear of the moment, we have unlimited access to make and use anything in this world, even to make a nuclear?" Think Agasa.
"What do you mean?" Ask Teo.
"If this world is a reflection of the real world, it means that there are uranium-level resources being developed in this world. Think about it, how does this world doomsday other than world war and nuclear war?" Think Agasa.
"Then what do you mean?" Ask Leo back.
Teo feels that Agasa has a way out of their trapped problem in a parallel world.
"Most likely, we can make an exit to get out of this world," Agasa said smilingly looking at Teo.
"Let me guess, you want to create the Arc Fusion Reactor?" Think Teo.
He immediately guessed. Understandably, Teo is also a technology enthusiast. He immediately thought where the conversation was going from Agasa.
"Right, but with a much smaller size, like Tony Stark. And I'll name it as the Arc Quantum Reactor" explained Agasa who was so happy.
"Can it be done?" Ask Teo.
He doubted that the Arc Quantum Reactor could be created.
"If we can reach a nuclear laboratory or at least a nuclear power plant, we can do it" Agasa said.
"But this is just a basic idea, isn't it? You still have to design everything from scratch" Teo thought.
Teo became convinced by Agasa's words and spirit. It was the first time he had partnered with a genius. For the first time, he was so excited to survive.
"Well, first, we have to make that blueprint. Then the second, we look for information about which country is the most advanced in the world. If we are lucky, we can find a country that has developed nano technology. And third, we have to find a way to get there" Teo thought.
"I found some A3 and A2 papers that were still neatly stored in the office near the warehouse. I'll be there first, don't bother me!" said it. I go to that office.
However, he suddenly paused for a moment and turned towards Teo, "Where did you get that katana from?"
Agasa is attracted to the katana who is next to Teo.
"I got it from the real world. Before I was stranded here, I was actually practicing kendo and was looking at my teacher's katana sword" Teo explained.
"So you can kendo? Attractively. What else can you do?" ask Agasa.
"A little taekwondo, and a lot of wild fists. Is that enough?" Ask Teo.
"You turned out to be funny too, it made you very attractive, Teo," Agasa said with a smile. He returned to the office.
Teo chose to eat the sardines he had heated. While leaning against the edge of the rooftop barrier wall, he stared far ahead.
Teo saw how beautiful the light of the moon illuminated a city so dark as a cemetery. Teo looked down, there were some zombies that looked to be passing around looking for fresh targets.
"Please!"
A child ran away from the zombies while holding the injured arm of his right hand.
"Please!"
He continued to run to the intersection near the shopping center building, where Teo and Agasa were located.
"Please! Is anyone here?!" Shouted the boy.
He tripped on his own feet and ended up slumped on the asphalt. The zombies were getting closer to him. The heartbeat kept pumping until the boy's eyes looked like he was saying, "I'm going to die here."
The boy sighed, he saw the shopping mall door open, the boy immediately stood back up and rushed into the shopping mall.
Blood from his wounds splattered on the asphalt and provoked the smell of the zombies. This makes them more aggressive and closer.
The boy continued to run and went deeper than the shopping mall. He climbed the damaged escalator to the second floor.
Seen from behind him, the zombies continue to try to enter the door of the shopping center which is closed ⅔ parts only. Plus, the door only holds one person.
The boy continued to climb the escalator to the seventh floor. Arriving on the seventh floor, he sat on the floor for a while to catch his breath.
"sick! Aw!" Say the boy.
THE DUAK!!!
A loud sound was heard from the door of the shopping mall. The zombies managed to get in and started following the blood trail of the boy.
"Damn!" Shouted the boy.
He was confused. He was already on the top floor, but he did not know where else to go.
"Woy! The boy!" Shouted Teo from the corridor across.
"Hurry here!" Shouted Teo.
The boy looked towards the origin of the voice. Without rambling, he immediately approached Teo. The crazed zombie herd slowly began to climb up the escalator towards the fifth floor.
Teo guides the boy to the rooftop. He used so much carbol to remove traces of blood from the boy.
Teo tries to eliminate the smell of blood belonging to the boy to break the sense of smell of the zombies.
"Keep up those stairs! I'll be there!" Shouted Teo.
He also dropped one iron panel and some furniture to create a corridor barricade that leads to the rooftop staircase. Once he thought it was enough, Teo soon caught up with the boy.
"You okay?" Tanya Teo was worried.
"It hurts so much, brother." Stare at the boy while holding the wound on his right arm.
"You hurt?" Ask Teo.
The two eyes of the boy began to feel blurry. His view is short. The child's body began to weaken.
"That's how.., sister…." Suddenly the boy fainted.
"Woy?" Teo was shocked when the boy was unconscious.
