Clunting!
Diftha looked directly at the metal object that seemed to have fallen from within Shara's blouse. Diftha hurried to crouch down and pick it up, when Diftha realized what had just fallen....
A necklace with a pendulum that is familiar to Diftha, because Diftha often saw his Christian office friends wearing a similar necklace pendulum.
Difha finally picked up the necklace of the cross, and thrust on Shara who is now just silently sculpting.
"This is yours, Sha?" Ask Diftha to the point, with a look on the face that even Shara doesn't dare to see right now.
"I--"
"I-yeah," Shara replied stuttering as she took her necklace from Diftha which instantly closed her eyes, and turned her face away from looking at Shara.
The pain that had appeared one year ago, when Diftha reassured that Reina turned out to be the prospective fiancee Angga, suddenly reappeared today.
Nah!
This time it hurt even more!
Shara quickly put the necklace into the bag, then grabbed the shopping basket filled with Gizta's clothes.
"We'd better get to the cashier now" Diftha said then in a trembling voice, as the two men's hands clutched the handle of Gizta's wheelchair. Diftha pushed Gizta's wheelchair towards the cashier, and Shara followed behind Diftha without saying a word. Only occasionally did Shara raise her face to stare at the back of Diftha who was now walking in front of her.
"All that, Mom?" Sapa kasir while smiling friendly. Shara's lips even felt stiff to just return a friendly smile from the cashier.
One by one the items in the shopping cart mulau scanned by the cashier. Until finally when the two pashmina who had been secretly chosen by Diftha for Shara was about to scan her barcode, Diftha hurriedly prevented.
"Mbak, sorry! The two items were not so we bought," Diftha said quickly as she pointed to the two pashmina left in the shopping cart.
"Not so?"
"Yes! Please just give it back and we're really sorry" Diftha said once again in a regretful tone.
"Good, Sir!"
"Why not buy it, Dift? I'll save-"
"Just save it and never wear it" Diftha whispered back to Shara, who fell silent.
"All that, sir? A total of one million two hundred and fifty thousand," the cashier's remark made Diftha again sigh, then the man immediately took out a debit card from inside his wallet to pay for all the groceries.
Shara deftly, takes over Gizta's wheelchair, then pushes her out of the store, leaving Diftha still in the transaction.
Shortly after Shara and Gizta were in the car, Diftha had also followed out while carrying a paperbag containing Gizta clothes.
"We go straight home"
"Meet the doctor first, Dift!" Sela Shara fast.
"I made an appointment earlier," said Shara again who wanted to pull out her phone but was prevented by Diftha.
"I understand" said Diftha quickly who had opened the car door. Diftha deftly moves Gizta into the car, while Shara folds up her wheelchair and puts her in the trunk.
Not long after, the car drove to the clinic, and there was only silence between Diftha and Shara along the way. While Gizta who sat in the back seat was already asleep.
****
"It's almost four o'clock" muttered Diftha as he looked at the watch in his hand.
"Show me first, Dift! Later rather than late if waiting to get home," Shara suggested later.
"Early afternoon usually gets jammed," Shara added.
"Alright," Diftha finally broke up while releasing the watch in his hand.
"You and Gizta can wait there" Diftha said, pointing to a row of chairs near the mosque.
"Yes!" Shara replied while commenting on a smile. Shara then notices Diftha rushing into the mosque, but the man is not seen again. Shara continued to push the Gizta wheelchair to the park chair that was called Diftha, then sat there while waiting for Diftha to finish praying.
"La-par-" complained Gizta to the slightly dreamy Shara.
"Yes, what's up, Gizt?"
"La-par-sister!" Say Gizta again.
"Oh, hungry." Shara rushes out the bread from inside the backpack hanging behind Gizta's wheelchair. Not to forget Shara also took drinking water for Gizta.
"Pray first." Shara guides Gizta to recite the prayer first, before Shara begins to feed the girl.
After Gizta finished reciting the prayer, Shara continued to feed Gizta painstakingly and carefully. A packet of bread was almost spent by Gizta, until Diftha returned from the mosque.
"Gizta's starving, huh?" Tanya Diftha who has approached Shara and also Gizta.
"Let me go straight home after coming from here," said Shara who had changed to help Gizta to drink.
"How about Gizta Therapy?"
"Tomorrow I'll go to the house"
"Tomorrow Sunday" Diftha warned. Sunday is synonymous with Christian worship.
"I'm at morning worship. So going home from worship I can go straight home to change Gizta therapy today" Shara quickly explained to Diftha.
"All right, it's up to you" Diftha finally said.
Gizta had finished drinking, and Shara immediately cleaned up the leftovers on Gizta's face, after everything was done, Shara got up and prepared to push her wheelchair.
"Have you?" Ask Diftha who had been silent since.
"It's over!"
"Let's go home!" Take Shara who stepped first while pushing the wheelchair Gizta. While Diftha chose to walk behind Shara while not stopping to pay attention to the back of the girl in front of him.
