The Adventures of Clara

The Adventures of Clara
Raph, Plot Armor

The other day after physical training, Raph started another lecture.

"Today's learning may be a bit complicated, but, Clara~, aren't you curious about the secrets of the power of the people in the legends?"

"Hidden power?" With just a few words Raph managed to shake Clara's interest.

"really. Ya~ For example Mente Gladio, one of the legendary adventurers who is said to be able to split anything with his sword. Or about Rosella who is said to have an infinite amount of mana. Aren't you curious about their secret?"

Clara was excited.

"Oh ya~. By the way, it looks like you have a blood relationship with Rosella."

"Wait, what?"

"So their secret"

"Stand, break. What were Clara and Rosella?"

"Keep that aside first. Ya~ if you want to know then adventure and find out for yourself."

Clara's current face was like a demon that wanted to carry out a massacre, but Raph did not care at all.

Raph continued, "Yes~, it is because they have the power of God, authority ... Listen well ya~ or you'll be sorry.

"After the collapse of heaven due to the attack of the demons of the curse, the authority of God spread throughout the world. Know that authority is absolute. If the authority dictates 'cut' then ya~ will all be truncated. Authority can only be resisted by other authorities."

"Then, if there is an authority of 'eternity' then ...."

Even without finishing her sentence, just by looking at Raph's reaction, Clara already understood the answer.

"Otoritas includes all things, because God is basically everything. That is, there are also authorities who can cure your illness."

His heart was pounding. Clara realizes Raph has given her another hope for life.

"Oritas, yes ...."

"However! Gaining that authority relies on fate and luck. Some people are born with authority. Some others could not reach it even though they had devoted all their time and effort. Some others do not even know the existence of authority."

The light in Clara's eyes went out again. He again begins to hate this strange creature because it continues to play on his feelings.

"Is there no sure way to gain authority?" ask Clara, annoyed.

"Unfortunately ya~ there is nothing instant in this world, except instant noodles of course," replied Raph while shaking his head.

"But! Ya~ if you continue to practice and purify your body, releasing the boundaries of ordinary humans, there is a good chance of gaining authority. Even though it can be random, anyway," He continued.

After listening up to this point, Clara lowered her head and pondered. Although difficult and rely on luck, there is still a chance and worth a try.

It doesn't matter if it fails. There is no harm in training the body.

"But! There is another way and this time yes~ 100 percent definitely can. It's just that this authority can't cure your illness."

Clara became interested once again.

"Remember the complete package of adventurers I offered you the other day? If you agree to be an adventurer I'll give you the protagonist cheat. What I mean is authority" explained Raph.

"This authority is very special and requires three specific requirements when choosing a user" he continued. "First, one must have an interesting background. You already qualify this. Second, one must have a clear purpose. I've given you a purpose, so it doesn't matter.

"Then third, someone must have unique characteristics, and you have indirectly imitated my obnoxious character. So the third requirement is also okay. It's just that yes~ if you accept my granting authority then the chances of gaining your own authority in the future will be close to zero. How, interested?"

"Yes!"

Clara's eyes glittered. He nodded with spirit.

Although it can not cure it, if compared to uncertain opportunities in the future it would be better to accept Raph's offer.

Besides, Raph's authority seems to be very strong. Or that's what Clara was trying to believe.

"OKAY. As the name suggests, this is the protagonist's cheat. Not dying even after losing a lot of blood. Always having a chance meeting. This authority can also help you through any difficulties. Stronger than any armor, harder than any shield, its name is 'plot armor!'"

That day, for the first time in her life, Clara experienced what she called deception and her powerful flames of hatred burning within her might be able to burn down the entire empire.

After such an exaggerated explanation of course anyone would be very excited and Clara immediately accepted Raph's offer.

However,

"Yup. Already done. But ya~ due to the limitations of the current user you won't even be able to take out one percent of his original ability."

Clara was not disappointed. But he hesitated a little because he didn't feel there was anything different. He asked expectantly, "So what is his strength?"

"Currently yes~ there are only a few skills that are open. Like the amount of your blood will be more than most people."

"Then?"

"Then. The author and a few others will be able to keep an eye on you."

"Of course not every day. Just a few important scenes"

"I mean Clara will be watched that way! So disgusted! Who is the author."

"Well. Even without this authority you will still be monitored so ya~ actually makes no difference" Raph said, not caring.

"Seriously ya~ author who is!"

"Author ya~ author. Put that aside. Other ability ya~ for some occasions you do not need to pee for days but still fine-"

The corner of Clara's eyes twitched, but she tried her hardest to hold back her anger.

"- Not shower but still fragrance. Sometimes ya~ you will get strange dreams like flashbacks even when fighting. Then ... O-oi! Sa-sick. Release!"

Clara, unable to control her anger, lunges at Raph and strangles the strange creature.

"What kind of authority is this!"

"Tu-wait. I'm not done yet. Let me continue."

Clara slightly loosened the grip of her hand then looked at Raph sharply.

"Continue ...."

Raph was a bit goosebumps, but continued cheerfully. "This is my favorite ya~! Listen in. This authority gives you a unique skill called 'break 4th wall!' With this you can make stupid comments and no one will understand what you are saying ... Sa-sick!"

"Bite!"

Clara desperately wanted to strangle this rabbit to death and roast and eat it as a dinner side dish.

After an intense struggle, Raph manages to escape and is currently staying on the ceiling of the house, avoiding Clara's anger. It stood like a bat, completely ignoring gravity.

"Down Raph! Mr. Newton would cry if he saw you like that ... Huh ...?"

"Look! Fun, no, break 4th wall."

Clara's teeth were so strong that they echoed through the house. Without realizing it Clara was already affected by the stupidity of this strange creature. He swore he would never use the break again.

"Break 4th wall."

"Don't look at Clara's mind!"

After a confrontation of gazing for some time Raph finally came down and turned himself in.

"Ehehehe. Don't upset. I'm just kidding" Raph said, sincerely.

"So it was just a lie?"

"Not really, yeah~."

The hungry lion immediately pounced on Raph to the floor.

"Stand, break. All I said was yes~ is just a side skill for fun. Anyway ya~ with your current abilities will have a hard time activating this authority's original skills."

Clara sighed, then gave her friend one last chance.

"It's an original skill that only you can activate right now. It's called 'guidance of destiny.' As a golden child, destiny will always be by your side to solve the problems you face. You'll probably face a lot of trials. But know, the reward will always be worth the ordeal you've been through."

Clara pensively thought of Raph's words. If this is true, then this skill is amazing. Those who stood at the top of the world were not the strongest, nor the brightest, nor the most talented, but those with heaven-defying luck.

"This is just one of his skills" Raph continued. "If you're strong enough the other skills will rise up by themselves."

Clara let out a loud sigh and lay down on the sofa. Serving this strange creature was very draining of his precious energy.

Raph woke up then with just a flick of his dirty white feathers and mumbled back as usual. On the other hand Clara looked at him with envy.

"Hey, Raph, when are you gonna teach me that magic?"

"I won't be teaching ya~. You can learn magic on your own through your father's books and research papers" replied Raph, tired. "I'll go ya~ for a few days. You're not lonely, are you?" ask Raph, nosy.

"Repick back ... Clara's lonely," replies Clara, weak.

"Huh ...."

But he did not expect such an answer would come from Clara. The girl is usually rather energetic and does not want to be treated like a child. This only showed his mental state which was indeed unstable.

"Yes. I'll be right back."

While in the doorway, Raph seemed to recall something and then turned around.

In a serious voice he reminded Clara, "Oh, yes~, I forgot to tell you a fatal weakness of this authority. With this power you will become the protagonist as in the story. However, not all protagonists have sweet lives and happy endings. Keep this in mind and avoid the bad end."
