Chapter 25: Becoming CEO!

Chief Lee glanced at Hailey and Tyler and knew right away that they had an amazing relationship.

Head Lee said, “Ms. Camden, we have no right to arrest Mr. Jordan until there is definitive evidence against him.”

“If you insist that we catch him, please show proof such as video or photo he stole the watch or proof he sold the watch in exchange for money.”

“Also, stop calling your ex-husband a beggar or useless. After all, you two used to be a married couple, and those words were too hurtful.”

Hailey Camden snorted coldly, “I'm not wrong. If she was a little more competent, I wouldn't divorce her!”

"You're the one who started the divorce with Jordan... Mr. Steele?"

Still looking very arrogant, Hailey replied, “Yes, I started the divorce! Does he regret it?”

Police officers dared not reveal Jordan's true identity and therefore had no choice but to smile and give Hailey a thumbs up.

Deep down, he thought, 'You should regret your decision to divorce the CEO of Ace Corporation, who has a billion dollar net worth!'

Seeing the two police officers leave, Hailey asked again, "Um ... is there a woman in her room?"

Chief Lee shook his head and said, “Master. Steele lives alone in the room. No one else.”

Hailey was in a much better mood, and she muttered softly, “I know that. He still loves me.”

Seeing that the arrogant Hailey still did not know the big mistake he had made, Chief Lee sighed and left.

After the two left, Tyler asked confusedly, "Why did they become so polite to Jordan after going down?"

Hailey did not pay attention to these details and simply said, "I have to quickly call my mother to tell them to gather evidence!"

As soon as Hailey pulled out her phone, she received a call from Drew before calling Sylvie.

"Hello, Drew."

Hailey rarely receives calls from Drew. Still, they have recently started to contact each other frequently, probably because of Jordan.

Pretending to be affectionate, Drew asked, “Hailey, how are you doing? I heard you call the police. Did they not take him to the police station?”

Hailey answered honestly, "No, the police officer said that they couldn't arrest him because there was no evidence."

"Evidence? What proof do they want?” ask Drew.

Hailey replied, "Evidence of the theft of his watch or the receipt of the sale."

Drew thought about it for a while and felt that there could be no evidence of Jordan stealing the watch because he wasn't the culprit in the first place.

However, now that the watch was in Drew's hands, he could only make evidence against Jordan to accuse him of selling the watch!

Drew said, “Send this matter to me. I'll find out who he sold the watch to. Then, rest assured, I will put it behind bars!”

After hanging up the phone, Hailey panicked and kept ruffling and fiddling with her hair.

He wants to punish Jordan for Jordan to treat her like a queen again and spoil her like she used to. On the other hand, he wanted Jordan to obey him without angering him or opposing him.

After all, after three years of living together as husband and wife, how could Hailey let Jordan spend ten years in prison?

Tyler, next to Hailey, drooled continuously when he saw her ruffling her hair, which he thought was very sexy.

He grabbed Hailey's hand and said, "Honey, let's stay at West Lake tonight too, huh?"

Hailey raised her hand as a surprise to Tyler and then slapped him in the face.

Hit it!

Hailey snapped, "You can't even handle Jordan, and you dare sleep with me!?!"

After saying that, Hailey left angrily.

Being slapped in a hotel lobby is a pretty embarrassing thing.

Covering his face, Tyler thought to himself, “Jordan Steele, you made things difficult for me today. But, once you get out, I won't let you go!”

He walked towards the hotel manager, who had been watching from the side, and clutched his collar.

He ordered, "As soon as Jordan Steele leaves the hotel, let me know immediately!"

It was six in the morning.

Jordan changed suits, wore a tie, and a pair of leather shoes. She then waxed her hair and styled it into a side pompadour, making it look suave and very similar to the CEO of the company.

It was the first time Jordan had worn a suit in three years.

He reckoned that even Hailey would not be able to recognize him for a few seconds after she saw him.

The front desk attendants were all dumbfounded as he descended from the top floor.

"He's a very domineering CEO. His aura is completely different from when he checked in yesterday!"

"I'm in love! I wonder who is so lucky to be his wife!”

Two front desk officers gushed and fainted above Jordan when the hotel manager, John, immediately walked over and reprimanded, “You guys are so crazy! Watch your picture!”

Afterwards, John walks out of the lobby and calls Tyler. "Jordan Steele has come out."

Tyler had arranged for some people to stay outside the hotel, and they soon started trailing Jordan.

Jordan hails a taxi and arrives at the Ace Corporation office tower in the central business district twenty minutes later.

It was his first day working as CEO.

Jordan got down from the car and stared at the majestic tower with a smile on his face.

“Victoria Clarke, you swore to decide all my livelihood yesterday. I wonder how you behaved when you saw me today!”
