18. Just Want to Be Yourself

"Clarie, let's get out of the room and have dinner soon," shouted Nita from the dining room. I don't know, it's been two days that Clarie won't hang out with them. Every time one of them approached her, Clarie would definitely go out of her way. Nita and her husband were confused, what made the daughter a little strange?

Nita glanced at her husband, like a code, papa Clarie also called Clarie. Just like what the wife had just shouted. "Clarie, we're all waiting for you. Making people wait is not good" he added.

"You eat, don't mind me. I'm fine with your treatment all along" Clarie replied with a shout as well. He didn't want to dodge, nor was he in a cold war with Rena, papa, mama, and Dean. He was just spending time with himself. He was contemplating, trying to find himself. Who is he in society? Who is he in this world?

During these two days, Clarie did not talk much and chose to be in the room. He recalled the events that had colored his life, precisely the events that had happened to him so far. 85% were the events where Clarie was beaten, whether it was by her friend, Renata, or not, or someone he doesn't know. There's just that, and the rest doesn't really matter.

"I was always bullied by those around me, they looked at me like trash. It's very annoying, it's all because of Renata, too" Clarie said. Given about the bullying done by his sister from high school until now this makes him want to quickly reply. Either that with an action or a piercing word.

"Wait," Clarie stood up from her chair and wandered for a while. "I am an oppressed person, and all I have wanted was justice. Knife with knives," Clarie found out who she was.

In his life all this time he was one of the creatures who was always oppressed, he wanted to fight. Unfortunately, he did not have the strength to avenge all those who oppressed him. Clarie wants justice, where everyone who oppresses her must respond in the same way. Clarie is cruel, she has that trait when Rena starts to annoy her. But if he reciprocated Rena's actions back then, surely he would be blamed by both his parents. Life is not fair.

"Clarie, how many times have you told me, baby. Don't make Renata and Dean feel guilty about their marriage" Nita suddenly appears from behind the door. It surprised Clarie, but it could be well hidden. "Darling, Mama please don't be mad at your sister. He's found his life partner, and Mama is sure you'll find him soon, too" Nita continued.

Clarie rolled her eyes bored, her mother thought she was angry? Oh, this must be stuck words coming out of Rena's mouth. "Well, I'll have dinner together this time. Only this time Ma, because I'd rather be alone, Mama knew how I was all along" Clarie began to step out of her room.

"There's no one else, right? So it's okay, after all I also wear shorts. 3 cm above the knee, no problem right?"
