The sound of the slammed door made Kinar again tiptoe. Feeling so afraid of all the attitudes shown by Kendra.

The man apparently intends to meet Xander who is still in his second mansion. Although it looks like they did not bother anything during their time in the room, but Kendra has already noticed what her wife wants.
