Suddenly Married!

Surprise Failed

Edgar tidied up his desk. This day he was busy teaching some material that had missed yesterday. His work in the company is also a lot, he is overwhelmed by having to do two professions at once. 

"It looks like I should think about Dad's offer" Edgar murmured. 

Edgar was offered something interesting by his father. The middle-aged man told Edgar to take his place as CEO of the company. Yes, Edgar's position in the company was as a director who worked secretly and without his identity. Shadow director. However, if Edgar accepts the CEO position that had been filled by his father then he must stop being a lecturer at his teaching campus now and his identity will be revealed to the public.

Edgar leaves his study, he walks to the parking lot and waits for his beloved wife to come home from college. However, thirty minutes passed and Anna had not been seen at all. 

"Sorry, Professor, are you waiting for Anna?" ask a student. 

Edgar looked at the student. "Hn. Aren't you in the same class as Anna? Did you see him?"

"Anna and Grace have been home since. Maybe they want to get some rest because this morning they were punished for cleaning the toilet because they were late for class."

Edgar was surprised to hear the student's words. It was not usual for Anna to go home first without telling him. Then what was that? Being punished? Though she and Anna left earlier than usual, how could she be late for class with Grace? It's all really confusing. 

Since Anna had gone home first, Edgar no longer needed to wait in the parking lot and bask himself in the hot sun. He immediately went home using his car at a high speed to get to the apartment quickly. 

"Anna?" call Edgar as soon as he gets to the apartment. This day he did not meet Anna at all while on campus, he also wanted to make sure the state of Anna who he said was punished by cleaning the toilet. 

Slowly Edgar stepped into the main room, looking for the whereabouts of Anna who had been summoned there was no answer or her figure to the outside. Niente. Anna wasn't in the room. Edgar was going to come out of the room, but his intention was not realized when he heard the sound of running water in the bathroom. 

Ah, looks like Anna's in the bathroom. He must not have heard my call! thought Edgar. He sat down by the side of the bed, waiting for Anna to come out of the bathroom.

Anna washes her hands in the sink, she just holds urine in a small container and dips a test pack into it. Anna wanted to surprise Edgar about her pregnancy, but because she was young, she couldn't give Edgar a baby ultrasound photo. Therefore, Anna will give Edgar the results of the test pack he just did. 

After waiting for more than ten seconds, Anna raised the test pack and saw two red lines appear on it. "Gee, really show up!" said Anna. He was amazed when he saw a small device but could detect pregnancy. 

With a feeling of pleasure, Anna walked out of the bathroom. He opened the door slowly while staring at the test pack he was holding. "Now I'll just wrap it up and give it to Edgar as a surprise" Anna muttered. 

"What surprise?"

The baritone voice surprised Anna who was muttering to herself. Anna hid the test pack behind her body and bit her lower lip. 

"You're home yet?" anna said, switching the conversation. 

"You haven't answered my question. What surprise?" ask Edgar again. Edgar then turned his eyes to something Anna was hiding behind the woman's body. "What are you hiding?"

Anna chuckles. "W-what do you mean? I'm not hiding anything."

Stupidly Anna, she said that while still hiding her hands back. Edgar, who could not be fooled, grabbed Anna's hand forcibly until the thing in Anna's grasp moved into her hand. 

"Test pack?" Edgar stared at the test pack, then turned to look at Anna. "You pregnant?"

"Yes, I'm pregnant."

"Thank you, Anna. I'm so happy."

"Hn. I was going to give you an amazing surprise, but you already knew it." Anna took a long breath. His surprise failed miserably even before the shock was made in such a way. 

"Ah, sorry. Shouldn't I know it now?" said Edgar. 

Edgar was not a person who had a high level of patience, when he found out Anna was hiding something from him, he had to know what it was. He does not like people who always hide things without his knowledge. 

Anna tiptoed slightly and kissed Edgar's lips at a glance. "Congratulations on being a father. Hopefully we can be good parents to our future son, Ed."

Edgar smiled as he stroked Anna's head. There were so many words he wanted to say, but it was difficult to say them directly. He then squatted to equalize his height to be as shallow as Anna's stomach and rested his head on Anna's still flat stomach. 

"Why is this not moving?" ask Edgar to be confused. She wanted to hear the heartbeat of her baby-to-be with her own ears. 

"Basic stupid! Of course it wouldn't be audible if it didn't use special tools!" said Anna. 

"Then I'll ask Dr. Bryan to check your womb and make me hear my baby's heartbeat."

Edgar was so enthusiastic about his current wishes that his request was so unreasonable and so forced. 

"If not wrong .. baby's heart rate will be detected if the gestational age is six weeks and ...."

Anna hung up her words while looking at Edgar. Meanwhile Edgar was silent while raising one eyebrow up, waiting for Anna to continue her speech. 

"... I don't know how old I am. So I'm not sure if your wish can come true today or maybe you should wait a little longer" Anna continued. I don't know why he felt that he had disappointed Edgar. 

"Ah ... Then we can check your gestational age first with Dr. Bryan."

Indeed, basically Edgar is a stubborn person whose desires must always be realized, he cannot if have to delay his wishes. 

Edgar calls Dr. Bryan to his apartment to check on Anna's contents. It is said that Anna's gestational age has only entered four weeks, there are still two weeks if Edgar wants to hear the baby's heartbeat with the help of medical devices and has to wait another fourteen weeks if he wants to know the sex of the baby. Long enough to wait.

"Are we still able to have sex even though my wife is pregnant?" chirps Edgar when Doctor Bryan just finished explaining the condition of Anna's womb. 

Doctor Bryan grinned at Edgar's question, while Anna blushed in embarrassment. 

"Is that all you think about?" doctor Bryan said, shaking his head. 

"Jawab only!" 

Doctor Bryan chuckles. "Can. You can have sex whenever you want."
