Feng Jiu slowly opened his eyes, the corner of his mouth slightly curved, revealing a satisfied smile.
His efforts to draw energy into his body could be considered successful and took less time than he thought. When he remembered that he had the Cosmos Sack, he immediately took it out from within his clothes and injected his mystic power into it before opening it.
“Woohoo! It's pretty heavy in there!”
The Cosmos Sack's capacity wasn't too large but they had stored quite a lot of items in it. He looked at the items at a glance and then took out the herbs and gold bars from his makeshift bundle to stuff them into the Cosmos Sack before securely tying the sack to his hip.
He saw that he had leftover grilled meat and he proceeded to put it in as well before going further into the forest to look for a source of water to clean up the wounds on his face.
The mud on his face was not just something he smeared haphazardly but he carefully mixed the ground core water and ground core soil together as a package of mud to apply it to the wound. One of the advantages is that the cooling ground core water will reduce inflammation and secondly, the mud will cover the wound on his face so that it is not easily recognized.
The mud had been on his face for days and he needed to wash it off, so the most important thing to do at that moment was to find a source of water.
The most direct way to determine the location of a water source is to study the density of trees and vegetation in the forest.
He did not directly walk straight deeper into the interior but followed the path based on the density of the leaves on the trees and the thickness of the vegetation on the ground. About four hours later he found a water source.
It was a flowing river, situated at the bottom of a sloping hill, and the leaves on the trees on either side of the ledge looked busier.
“Wah! It is very difficult to find water in this forest.”
He heaved a sigh of relief and his steps were light as he came to the side of the river. He crouched down and took out a handful of water by cupping his hands together for a drink before opening the Cosmos Sack to pick up the bamboo tube. He filled the bamboo tubes and stored them for future use.
Until, the water reflected a terrifying-looking face image, badly damaged by several slashes from a sharp blade.
Staring at that face in the water, his eyes were filled with coldness. The body he was in right now should have been exactly the same as the body he had in the twenty-first century and his face had not changed either. But the face that he had been accustomed to seeing for over twenty years had changed shape into a frightening state at this moment and when that thought appeared in his mind, the bloodlust that lay dormant in his heart began to move.
“Su Rou Yun, Su Rou Yun, you better keep yourself alive and well ...”
He muttered to himself in a low voice, a growing smile, raising the corner of his lips, tinged with a bone-chilling coldness.
Taking the herbs he took along the way from the Cosmos Sack, he mixed them with a few stalks of magic herbs by pounding them before applying the juice from the mixture to his face. The thick scab formed on the wounds inflicted on his face had been torn off along with the mud he had cleaned before, but the horrifying lines left behind from the knife wounds would not disappear.
Each scar left by the knife wound was shown by dark pink stripes running across his face after the scab had come off. Compared to when they were still scabbed, he did not look terrible.or at least, he would only be considered terrifying now.
After applying the juice from the herbal mixture, he waited until it dried slightly before bending over the water to look at it. The crystal-clear water showed her a face that had unrecognizable features, and as her reflection looked slightly greenish, she felt it looked a little strange.
He continued to stare and his eyebrows suddenly shot up. The clear flowing water was suddenly cloudy with a blood red color.
He lifted his eyes and looked up. He paused for a moment to think before he got up and raised his feet to go with the flow upward.
It was roughly about half a stick of incense the time before his steps stopped, and his gaze fell on the clump of weeds by the river..
