THE SUBCONSCIOUS

Night has arrived, Rangkas has just finished taking an afternoon bath because of his shower last night. This afternoon he was busy carrying a few cassava sacks to sell to a cassava chip seller in Tegalsari village. Rangkas mother that night was in the kitchen warming food for them to dinner.

Rangkas and her mother continued to eat dinner again and after that they went to their respective rooms for a night's sleep. 'Why is it getting colder tonight...?' Rangkas inner speech and he immediately woke up to take a blanket in his wardrobe.

When Rangkas was about to turn back to bed, he jerked back and was shocked instead of playing. He found his body sleeping in that bed. Rangkas could not think clearly and he immediately stared at his own limbs.

"That's weird! Why is my body two!? Am I dead...???" Rangkas said hesitantly and he then walked closer to his sleeping body.

"My body is still breathing regularly and there's no way I'd die if my body looked like it was still breathing normally. Then am I dreaming again...???" Rangkas now sits near his body and touches his real body.

Rangkas hands like translucent when touching his original body.

"God! Why can't I touch my own body!? Am I really dead!?" Then Rangkas also shouted to call his mother and his scream was not answered at all by his mother. The cold heat of sweat began to wet Rangkas body and he finally fell limp on the bamboo amben floor. Rangkas red eyes held back tears because he thought that he was dead by then.

Then there was the sound of a woman swigging behind Rangkas.

"Who is that...!?" Rangkas's touch was startled and he immediately twisted his body backwards. There appears a woman who he already knows her appearance and form.

"KK...you? What are you doing here, Nyai...???" Rangkas asked the woman and she immediately wiped her tears.

"hihihi, I'm here watching you cry. It's ridiculous to see a man cry like that, hihihi."

"How I don't cry, you see for yourself my body is there. I'm sure that I'm dead because there's no way that if I were alive, I couldn't see my own body."

"I don't want to go! I need to get back inside my real body!" Then Rangkas immediately jumped to his original body that was still asleep. But he still penetrated his body and the voice of Princess Ayu said.

"Just for nothing, you won't be able to get back inside your body Rangkas." Rangkas face immediately paled and he could not speak anymore.
