Sharing Love: Puspita East & West

Sharing Love: Puspita East & West
The Main House

After returning from the surau, Amir found Asya still asleep in bed. His second wife looked so strong that she could not wake him. He left and hoped that the woman's condition could improve soon.

Before returning to the main residence, Amir stopped by his aunt, Maimunah. He left a message and some things to the woman to be handed over to Anastasia. Maimunah nodded and reminded, “Nak, Allah gave you the ability to follow the sunnah of His apostle. So, be fair to your two wives because that is the condition that you must meet.”

“Thank you, Auntie. I will always remember it,” Amir also resigned. As he was nearing the main residence, he saw his twin sons playing with swords in the courtyard. They both seem to be playing. However, when the two saw the arrival of Amir, they immediately snatched into the house without welcoming the brother.

“It's coming home, huh?” there was a soft voice of Aminah when Amir arrived in the courtyard. He also said a greeting that was immediately replied by his family. He saw Aminah welcoming him with a sweet smile on her lips, while Hanif and Sharif stood behind the umma while gripping her long tunic.

Aminah immediately hugged her husband tightly as if she did not want to separate from each other again. Amir returned his embrace. He smiled happily and looked at Hanif and Sharif who were staring enviously at him.

“Mother, Mother,” Syarif tugging tunic Aminah, asking for her attention. Upon hearing the call of the baby, Aminah took off her arms and turned to Sharif. Apparently, the boy asked her to play together in the courtyard.

“But ...,” Aminah wants to refuse because her work is not finished yet. Before he finished his sentence, Hanif also exclaimed, “Let Abah alone cook. Umma just play with us. Can you cook too?”

Sharif nodded in agreement. He tugged at the long tunic of the umma even harder, urging him to accept the invitation. Aminah turned to Amir as if asking for his ability.

“Neither way,” Amir finally raised his voice with his signature friendly smile. He kissed Aminah's cheek, making her blush. Aminah immediately pushed Amir into the kitchen to finish his cooking, while Hanif and Syarif just watched the sophistication with a plain look.

“Ayo, Umma,” exclaims Syarif after Amir goes to the back. His loud voice asking Aminah to read a story was heard all the way to the kitchen. This simple house feels very warm even if only four people live. Well, it'll soon be one more. Amir also prayed for the health of his wife and third child who is still in the womb.

“Hm? Hanif, you don't share his story umma in front?” amir asked as soon as he saw his eldest son standing at the kitchen door. He was slicing an onion at the time. The sound of her neat slices came to a halt due to Hanif's arrival.

“Good cooking!” hanif said as if giving orders. Amir frowned. He also asked, “Hanif want to help?”

“No,” Hanif replied while shaking his head, “Anyway, good cook!”

“Hah .. yes, yes,” replied Amir with a thin smile, then back slicing the seasoning prepared by his wife, “What's the same again? That's all?”

“Change,” call Hanif so that Amir turns back, “What Aunty Asya still hurts?”

“Aunt Asya? Hm ... don't know yet. Moga alone today has healed,” replied Amir who then put the spices into the soup pot. He remembered Anastasia because Hanif was talking about her. "Why indeed?”

“Yesterday,” Hanif took a sutil, then unsheathed it like a sword, “I lost to Aunt Asya. How can Aunty Asya be good at swordplay anyway? The ones who play the sword are just boys. Umma just can play archery.”

“Hm, means Aunty Asya has been training from childhood. The sword art is not suitable for girls,“ explained Amir, then reminded, “Later, if Aunt Asya is still not healed, do not play first. Poor Aunt Asya. Probably still tired.”

“Kan Bibi Asya has had a long break,” Hanif intoned his finger that is still holding the sutil, then showed his four fingers to Amir, “It has been three days.”

“Iya, but it's Bibi Asya's trip over three days, darling,” Amir replied. He could not possibly explain that his second wife's tiredness was probably due to something else. Hanif even glanced in disbelief, “Ha? Long time of rest? I just rest a day out of the streets with Ki Fadil weekly.”

Hanif plucked a piece of tempe before carrying out that order. He ate while running so that he got a scolding from Amir as soon as he returned to the kitchen. The brother lectured at length while waiting for tempe in his cooking dish. “Do not repeat again yes, Subordinate child.”

“Ya,” Hanif replied briefly. He was very tempted by the delicious smell of tempe until he forgot the food he had learned. The maturity of the second tempe ended Amir's lecture. He told Hanif to call Sharif and Aminah for breakfast.

...***...

“Is he better?” ask Aminah after breakfast. Hanif and Sharif had gone outside to play by then, leaving Amir and Aminah both at home. Amir was silent for a moment before answering, “Not knowing yet. If last night still not, but this morning ..”

Amir canceled telling it. He also looked at his first wife who was still bowed with a sad face. He was very sure Aminah was hiding her jealousy at this time. Jealousy cannot just disappear.

“Kanda,” Aminah leaned her body on Amir, she said softly, “Dinda can be patient. Patient people have countless rewards.”

“Sorry, yes,” reply Amir with a soft voice anyway. A faint smile flashed on his lips. He also looked at his wife's stomach getting distended, “I should have more attention with you, but I instead ..”.

“Nothing so,” Aminah grabbed her husband's right hand, holding him tightly as if so their love always flows, “Lagian, you have no choice right?”

“Are you not jealous?” Amir finally asked that directly. Aminah smiled bitterly in her husband's arms. He answered honestly and a slightly taut tone this time, “Where is it possible? Must be jealous, let alone she is very beautiful.”

“You are also beautiful. You are number one,” entertain Amir sambari stroking his wife's stomach. She kissed the woman's forehead suddenly, causing Aminah to flutter again, but not push her husband again this time.

“It's been six months, huh? In Ramadan later insyaallah he was born,” Amir suddenly discussed his youngest child who is still in the womb. Aminah nods, “You've thought of a name for her?”

“Not yet, Dinda herself has found a suitable name yet?” Amir asked back.

“About she's male or female?” Aminah shook her head, and placed her hand on the hand of Amir who was stroking his stomach. He yearns for another boy, or possibly twin boys and girls.

“Wah, your struggle becomes more heavy if you want twins again,” Amir reminded. Aminah even replied by saying, “Biarin, who is pregnant right me.”

“If you why later?” Amir showed his concern. Aminah smiled, then kissed her husband's cheek, “God I am safe. I can be patient with kanda.”

“What if his name is Nasirah?” amir's proposal to divert the conversation so as not to discuss the marriage of the two. Aminah thought for a moment, then asked, “Why Nasirah?”

“Nasirah means helper woman. Maybe he could be a puti that helps us from the heat of hell fire later,” explained Amir showed his desire to have a girl. Aminah did not dispute it, but proposed another name, ”Latif only. It will be compact. Hanif, Sharif, Latif.”

“Latifah if so,” Amir still shows his desire to have a daughter even though he knows Aminah wants a son. He kissed his wife on the forehead again, then said, “Well, look at it later. We still don't know. If a man is born, his name is Latif. If you are born female, her name is Latifah.”

“Iya, may only be born a boy,” Aminah prayer while smiling warmly. Amir smiled as he awaited the birth of his third child. His heart did not say prayers and remembrance. He always hoped that his family would be reunited in heaven. He also prayed that Anastasia would soon be guided.
