Aldo
I arrived at Aini's house after I finished taking care of some files from school. I think there's something Aini should know. Aini should know that this Gara is a person who likes to disturb one's personal life. What good is he bothering me? What good would it be if he knew my life was so complicated like this? He thought who he was that could ruin my life.
“Assalamualaikum”, I said behind Aini's door.
“Waalaikumsallam's chat. Oh, Aldo?”
To my surprise, the one who opened the door was Wella. ‘Why is he here’, I thought to myself.
“Kok you here? Where's this?”, I ask her.
“Eh in. Aini is inside kok”
He let me in. I went in and looked for Aini. I saw him slicing onions in the kitchen.
“What are you doing?”, ask him.
“You're coming Do? Have eaten? We want to cook nih” noodles, he replied as he waved his hand as if telling me to approach him in the kitchen.
I approached him and helped him open a can of sardines.
“You make noodles kok pack sardines gini?”, ask.
“Lad yummy dong. You haven't eaten yet? Let us eat with you aja”
“Not yet. How is there Wella?”
“Iya, he was playing here. I invite to play to my house”, reply “Loh, how do you stay in front alone Do anyway? Talk to dong there. Let me just finish”
I walked into the living room and left Aini cooking in the kitchen alone.
“Where are you from do?”, asked Wella to me.
“From school earlier”
“Kok long really home?”
“Iya no affairs”
“That's, the paschal manager who just met me. Want to ask for help check their proposal”
“Ohh”
We play each other's phones, so it makes the atmosphere quiet. Not many words can be thrown to start a conversation so that what happens is a world without sound.
It should not be about each other's activities. A gathering is a place for us to share our stories with each other. Leave our phones and some of the things that shape us in other lives outside of reality. Because the near must be close. Not the near becomes distant and the distant becomes close.
I saw Wella get up from her seat and go back to the kitchen. He arranged some plates and glasses on the dining table. It looks like Aini has finished cooking food that smells have been anchored to all corners of the room. Makes the stomach echo want to eat it.
“Let's eat friends”, said Aini.
I walked and approached those who were sitting.
“Why are you quiet? Boring once”, said Aini.
“Apaansih you”, saysku.
“B time Ni”, timpal Wella.
We each ate our food. I saw Wella who looked radiant as I looked at her. Looks like something's wrong. Does Wella have a crush on me? Ah, it's impossible. How do I get to GR like this.
“You why smile Well, so glad I joined you guys?”, my god to Wella.
“If yes why?”, challenge Wella.
“Ya gakpapa, means I'm as cool as that”, I said proudly.
“Keren what?”, said Aini while laughing.
“Keren bristles your nose itu ya do”, timpal Wella while grinning.
We enjoyed the food with laughter. I paused my intention to talk to Aini. Maybe this is not the right time. Next time only. I don't want to ruin our fun like this.
Your laughter is so crisp. Like removing a wound inside the chest. Your smile is so sweet. Defeating the flavoring used by Mother, tomorrow I ask again, tomorrow also yes. It's okay. I want more.
