Misaki approaches Mitsuha who is still frightened and helps her stand up. Mitsuha was very limp, even to stand up just unable. Coupled with leg injuries that have not been treated.
“Mitsuha, sorry. Because of me, you got limp like this. Here I carry,” said Misaki thrusting her back.
“Aren't you limp too, Aki? Plus you just saved my life and fought desperately. I don't want to bother you.”
“Already, come. I'll carry you.”
Mitsuha climbed onto Misaki's back. He felt Misaki's heartbeat like a frightened person, yet he dared not ask her. Mistuha knows better how devastated people feel when they first kill someone.
“Misaki, sorry. For the sake of protecting me you killed the old man. I'm really sorry,” Mitsuha said.
“Interesting,” answer is short. “For me protecting someone important to me is a top priority, you never blame yourself or I will feel sad to hear it,” continues.
Misaki kept walking. The memory of the murder he had just committed teased his mind. It was the first time in his life that he killed a human. Guilt has possessed him. But everything that happened was the old man's fault. If he hadn't tried to kill them, none of this would have happened.
“Ah, that's the way out. Thank goodness we survived, Mitsuha.”
Silent. Mitsuha.
“Mitsuha?” Misaki started to wonder. He was worried that something like that would happen again. Misaki slowly looks back to check on Mitsuha.
“Haishh .. make goosebumps. I thought he was missing. Mitsu, you must be so tired, ‘kan? Until bed like this.”
Misaki continued walking out of the forest. Time is getting dark. He went straight to the car that was parked in front of an empty house and went home. Mama Misaki was already waiting for them with a worried face. When he heard the roar of the car, he slid to the front of the house welcoming his only child.
“Aki! Oh, Aki darling. You're okay, ‘kan? Mama worried once.”
“Aki's fine, Ma. Mitsuha, stop by here first!” yelled Misaki towards Mitsuha's car.
Misaki waved her hand.
“Aki, quickly clean your body. Stinky!” ketus.
Misaki nodded. He went to the bathroom with heavy footsteps. Every time he looked at his hand, he remembered the murder he had committed.
“How is it, my hand, my hand. You just killed a human, killed a human! I just became a killer!”
Misaki is terrified, she slips down in the bathroom, trying to immerse herself in the water for as long as possible hoping she can forget the evil she committed. But everything is in vain. There was not a single memory he managed to dispose of. There was only a black shadow pervading his mind.
The murderer! The murderer! The murderer! His brain continued to thrash around, making him depressed. Misaki closed her ears tightly, hoping that the voice would not be heard again.
Red eyes. Misaki tries to re-read the rest of her life. He still does not believe in the supernatural power he has.
“What? Thirteen days? Shouldn't I have six days left?” Misaki wonder. How can age increase on its own?
Misaki remembers everything she did from yesterday to today that has the potential to add age, but her mind is deadlocked.
“Aarrgghh .. come on, think a little genius!”
Misaki jerks. He remembered the dream that had stopped in his sleep. When you kill someone, their age will increase. Did it really happen?
“Really! Remember, Misaki. You just killed one human in the Okigahara forest. That means, your age is increasing, hahaha.”
“Who are you?”
