Justin hasn't really left yet, the boy is crying in silence so the father doesn't hear him. He knows how tormented his father has been since the passing of his beloved woman. The hero closes his heart, not one of two women who are willing to be just a warmer of his bed, but the solid loyalty of the Hero can not be penetrated by any woman.
The man even blatantly opposed the mother without caring about the sentence of the child of disobedience that he would stare at.
