Chapter 09. Replacement Lantern

"Stop Sir! It's not all wrong, you!"

Kenzo stopped the movement, a little aware of what had been done. Because of that remorse, Kenzo's mind again raged against each other. Only then did he realize, all the objects neatly arranged on the table, were now scattered on the floor. Kenzo just went berserk.

"AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!"

A cup of white water floated in the air, then hit the wall. A loud sound instantly filled the room. Glass debris is now strewn across the floor. Kenzo clenched his hands tightly. It's not enough for him to do that, he wants it again and again.

Now only a picture frame remains on the workbench. Without a second thought, Kenzo took it. No matter how Jeff tries to hold back his actions. If it's out of control, Kenzo always goes berserk, and destroys everything.

"Stop Master!"

"You still can't forgive him?" Jeff picked up one by one the files scattered on the floor. Then rearrange it on Kenzo's desk. "I understand, Sir. But don't you see, all this time he's always wanted the best for you."

Kenzo grinned. "best? By killing Mama and Vincie?" His gaze was so sharp. "It's upside down more precisely!'

"She abandoned my mother, let her struggle to live alone in pregnancy and let me be born without both parents!"

Reportedly, Kenzo's birth mother died after giving birth to her. At that time Papa Kenzie, as a friend of his mother, decided to raise Kenzo as a child. Until Kenzo grew up happy, even without the presence of a real mother and father.

Kenzo's life feels perfect after having such a good foster mother like Mama Shena, and having two adorable twin sisters, Vanessa and Vincie. Kenzo loves them all. But in the blink of an eye, Gara's father came and destroyed all of their happiness.

"Fucking coward!"

"Stop Master!" sahut Jeff's.

Jeff understood, Kenzo's speech sounded a kind of disappointed expression. As an equally discarded child, Jeff understands Kenzo's attitude. The humiliation sounds ordinary. Everyone will do the same.

But to Jeff, a child who had been nurtured from childhood by Mr. Gara, it sounded very painful. Jeff has great respect for Mr. Gara, because of all the services he has done to him.

"There's a meeting soon, you better be prepared." Jeff wanted to be angry. But considering his position was only an assistant, he undoes the intention. Better to hold back, than break a promise.

The minipad screen is still on, showing a photo of the lantern as a child. It's hard not to admit that Lanterns are very similar to Vincie's. Even a speck of longing in Kenzo's heart now gradually disappeared as he stared at the girl's sweet face.

"I'm still convinced that it's really Vincie" Kenzo muttered. "Yes, I almost forgot! What about the DNA test?"

While in the hospital yesterday, Kenzo had taken a sample of Lantern blood secretly, to confirm his conjecture. The results of his investigation will clearly be more accurate through DNA tests. If Lanterns were really Vincie, it's certain his DNA would match Vanessa's.

"Why is it so long?" Kenzo grumbling. "Well, there's no need to rush. In the meantime, make up false data about the girl."

Jeff's fingers were immediately restrained, his gaze shifted from the phone screen in his hand. "You mean?"

"Make the Lantern to be Vincie, at all costs!" Kenzo's Order. "We're going to see him this afternoon."

"For what, sir?" Jeff still doesn't understand. Creating fake data is not easy. The work alone is a lot, Kenzo could ask for it easily.

"No, I'm not going to let him get away with it! While waiting for the DNA test results, we'll make him Vincie. It's not impossible that he's really Vincie, and I don't want to lose him again."

"Then what if he's not Vincie?" ask Jeff. "Everyone knows Vincie doesn't exist. How can someone who is dead come back to life? If the lantern is Vincie, then why doesn't he come back after eleven years?"

For a moment Kenzo fell silent, thought for a moment and said, "There may not be a chance for him to return!"

Kenzo's voice sounded low. There was still a bit of doubt in his heart. Even so, Kenzo really hopes that all his assumptions are true. At least it would slightly reduce his guilt towards the Halian family.

Sayup-sayup rang the phone in his pocket, Jeff immediately picked it up. Chika's name is on the screen.

"What's up?" For a moment Jeff was silent, listening to what Chika wanted to say. "Don't let him in!"

"Who?" Kenzo asked, after Jeff cut off the phone unilaterally.

"Miss Anjani!"

Kenzo immediately breathed. "When will the woman stop coming?"

It's been almost two years, but Anjani is still trying to pursue Kenzo's love. Though during that time Kenzo always rejected it blatantly. Once Vanessa almost got into a fight because she was upset with the woman's genuineness.

"Until you get married, Sir!" Jeff almost chuckled at Kenzo's changed face. "Married, then had a funny kid. Heir of Viance Group."

"Shut up!" Kenzo clucked irritably, then tidied up his suit. "Why not you!"

"But I'm married, sir."

Jeff's words are common, but they sound annoying in Kenzo's ears. Because of Jeff's marriage, Gara's father always encouraged her to get married. Not even infrequently Gara's father sent beautiful women to visit Kenzo in the company. Anjani.

The attempt to match Kenzo grew even more so when Jeff had a daughter who was so cute. Jeff is two years older than Kenzo. After all, Kenzo did not think of getting married, because he still had to wait for Vanessa to grow up and be ready to get married.

"Then marry again!"
