Replacement Lantern

Replacement Lantern
Chapters 14. Replacement Lantern

"Listen, do you want a new student in your class?"

Lily's soft voice was clearly heard in the ears. With just one sentence, Lily was able to make the curiosity of the class. Children who were previously busy with their respective gadgets, now began to surround the girl's bench.

"Seriously Ly, I also accidentally saw a boy in the teacher's room. I swear, it's handsome!" One of the girls replied with a frenzy. "Or not, that's the new kid you mean?"

Lily nodded, then glanced at the Lantern that seemed uninterested by the news she brought this time. "Rho? Do you know there will be new students in our class?"

"Huh?" The lantern turned its head, stopping his hand that was coolly drawing abstracts on top of the book. "I don't know, I don't know!"

The lantern smiled stiffly. Actually, he doesn't really like taking care of other people's lives. For him, whether or not there are new students, all the same. His life situation will not change, especially with his financial condition.

The lanterns return with abstract images in his book. Letting other children talk about the new child they are referring to. Until the bell of the lesson rang, they returned to their respective benches.

Not long after, Miss Anni entered with a guy about six feet tall. Although hiding behind his glasses, his handsome face was able to make the class boisterous with awe-inspiring cries. Fortunately, the IPA 3 XII homeroom teacher was able to handle the students just by raising their hands.

"Good morning, kids!" hello Miss Anni.

"For Ma'am!"

"Today we have a new friend" Miss Anni pointed to the man who was standing in front of the class. "Please introduce yourself."

"My name is Kenzo! I don't like friendship, so you don't bother to know about me."

Flat sentences just slid from Kenzo's lips, which immediately made the girls cheer disappointed. Who isn't fascinated by Kenzo's good looks? The sharp nose and jaw are beautifully sculpted with clean white skin.

"Okay, enough introductions. Please sit down Kenzo!" Miss Anni pointed at the empty bench located at the very back. Right next to Bagas.

"Sorry Mom, can I sit there?" Kenzo pointed at the bench Lily was sitting on, making all the students stare in confusion. So is the lantern that's sitting right next to Lily."My eyes are minus, unable to see clearly from a distance."

Looking at the glasses perched on Kenzo's face, Miss Anni nodded in understanding. Then told Lily to move to the rear row right next to Bagas. Haris was only able to make out a smile seeing the look of annoyance on Lily's face.

"Prophe Ly, you're not alone!" Haris said softly, pointing at Jasmine with the corner of her eyes.

Lily's not huffing. I really don't like Jasmine. His indifferent attitude and a little jutek is not very suitable with Lily who is easily carried away by emotions. Although notoriously friendly, Lily also has a high level of patience that is easy to change.

When Lily was upset, Kenzo smiled triumphantly. Seeing the Lantern sitting next to him, Kenzo felt half his goal had been achieved. After struggling to turn himself into a high school boy back, he does not want any of his plans to fail.

After everything I've done, don't expect you to get away from me, lantern!

Some girls still stared at Kenzo without blinking. Feeling the Goddess of fortune is now siding with the Lantern. When other children want to sit next to Kenzo, unlike the Lantern that actually feels uncomfortable.

Who is not worried? Kenzo stared at the lantern with an indistinct smile. If you can say, actually Lanterns are more comfortable sitting with Lily than the new guy next door. Although in fact, their seats are not fused into one table.

Until the break began, the lantern still silently ignored Kenzo. Her introverted personality is not easy to start a friendship. Instead of starting, lanterns prefer to avoid conflict.

"Where are you going?" Seeing the lanterns about to leave, Kenzo went up and followed him. "Sorry, I'm a new kid so I don't know anything about this school."

"Where are you going?" The lantern tried to be friendly, although at least he knew enough what the man next to him wanted. Once observed, the guy was almost similar to someone.

Along the corridor, Kenzo continued to follow the lantern. Ignoring the thirsty gazes of the students who were amazed by Kenzo's good looks. Until arriving at a small park beside the school, Lanterns sit themselves on a bench.

"When are you going to pretend?" The lanterns start a conversation, surprising Kenzo who is enjoying the beauty of the park.

"meaning?" Kenzo frowned.

"Do you think I don't know?"

The lantern moved, staring at Kenzo from top to bottom. The hair that was made to cover the eel and the glasses that perched on the face, Lantern had barely recognized him. But after hearing his voice, Lantern finally understood who the owner of the voice was. The voice of someone who had been plaguing her life since yesterday.

Jeff, your fight is useless! Kenzo took off his glasses and chuckled. Failed already his plan to disguise himself as a High School boy. "Ah shit, you're smart to recognize me too."

Kenzo made sure to everyone, and no one recognized him. Jeff was also amazed to see the face of Kenzo who was young, still like a high school boy even though it had been a few years. But unexpectedly, the lantern can easily recognize it.

"You want Om what, anyway?" ask Lantern.

"Sstttt, just call, Kenzo!" kenzo Perspiration. At least, he was afraid that someone else would hear and know his secret.

"Are you scared now? After the crazy thing you did?" Lanterns flanged in wonder. It could be that the man was thinking of disguising himself as a high school boy when he was almost entering the head of three. But more strangely, Kenzo's face now looks very suitable as a high school boy.

"It's all because you won't listen to me!" kenzo.

"What should I hear from you?" The lantern asked in an annoyed tone, "About Vincie again?'

The lanterns shook not understanding. Since yesterday Kenzo continues to say and convince that he is Vincie. But Lanterns still do not believe. Maybe that's why Kenzo decided to go undercover as a high school boy just to convince himself.

"I told you, my name is Lantern, not Vincie let alone Vanessa!" lantern.

"You remember the accident a few days ago?" Kenzo opens the phone, plays a video and then shows it on the lantern. "It is clear here that you were the cause of the accident. What do you think will happen if I hand it over to the police?"

Lanterns riveted. It was a video of him almost getting hit by a car a few days ago. I don't know who's wrong? But as a class of children who are underage, of course Lanterns are afraid if they have to deal with the police without a guardian. Entrance to prison is not the purpose of lanterns coming to this city.

"I'm working on your DNA with Vanessa, the results will come out next week. And for that long, I won't let you out of my reach. I could've handed this video to the police by now, if you still wouldn't have followed my orders!"

Kenzo was forced, his heart feeling unsettled after seeing the lantern go with a man yesterday. Plus, he saw the man turned out to be in one class with the Lantern right now.

"Design it once you!" lantern said angrily.

"After you made my Vaness leave, I felt I had to. Just so I know, what would I do if you weren't really Vincie!"

"Then if the result is negative?" The question slid just like that, Lantern slightly regretted it. He was not sure of the answer Kenzo would give.

"Then you will feel the pleasure of surviving behind bars!"
