Ayodya Dewi Lasmi is the name given to the mother before she died due to severe bleeding after giving birth. She is the only daughter of Ki Sosrosukropilus and Nyi Mantili. They're both not random people. Both are respected for their ability to cure a wide variety of ailments, especially non-medical ones. Because of this too, the villagers are reluctant and afraid if they have to deal with this family.
Ayodya was born in the village of Kembang Getih during a red moon eclipse. That said, humans who are born when the moon is blood red are special humans. These humans were endowed with extraordinary talents in the science of death. Especially for Ayodya, coincidentally he was born in weton which he said favored subtle creatures.
After the death of her mother, Ayodya was taken care of by her maternal grandmother. Ki Sosrosukropilus himself more traveled visiting various places to heal the sick or the ascetic. Ayodya's grandmother was no ordinary person. Mbah Gandari's fame in mysticism is much higher than that of his dead son-in-law and son.
From childhood Ayodya used to help the grandmother with some mystical rituals. He is no longer strange with various offerings that must be prepared on a certain date. Sometimes, he accompanied the grandmother while performing the ritual. Gradually, the girl became poultice and understood how to cast spells and ritual sequences. One of them is the ritual of Lali Jiwo.
Lali Jiwo is one of the black magic that is classified as difficult. People who are high in knowledge are not necessarily successful in learning this science. The length and many stages make people who carry out this ritual stop in the middle of the road. Only a few are capable, one of which is Mbah Gandari. This science is believed to provide authority, empowerment, prosperity and immortality for successful actors. The payoff is no joke. Ritualists must pawn their lives as evidence of sincerity. They will be endowed with unlimited immortality. Only his soul is eternal. That means, every time, they have to find a new body to inhabit and subvert the original soul of the owner of the body. Likewise Mbah Gandari.he has changed the body many times. Every time he changed bodies, he would move, away from his previous residence to avoid suspicion of residents.

Teen Ayodya grows up as a beautiful, quiet girl figure. He rarely goes out and socializes with neighbors. Mbah Gandari forbade him to go out if there was nothing important to take care of. All the time Ayodya spent dancing. The grandmother who saw the talent of her grandson began to seriously teach some dances. Unfortunately, Ayodya did not realize that what his grandmother taught was one of the devil worship dances to explore the black magic of Lali Jiwo.
Over time Mbah Gandari gradually degraded his knowledge without Ayodya noticing. After being half-discovered, Mbah Gandari told the girl to follow the dance studio in their area. The flexibility of the body, the beautiful face and the mysterious nature of Ayodya ushered him into one of the dancers who admired. There were many government officials who he accepted. At the age of 15 years, the name of Ayodya Dewi Lasmi is famous to the corners.

A few weeks before the disaster occurred - like getting a hunch - Mbah Gandari called Ayodya and taught the closing dance of Lali Jiwo's series of sciences. Ayodya who had thought the grandmother was just teaching ordinary dance, practicing with joy. Without him noticing, the full ritual had already fused with his soul.
After the invitation to dance, Ayodya has an accident. The dokar that took him mired into a deep valley. The coachman died on the spot and Ayodya lost consciousness. Long enough until there are residents who find it with a broken hand bone, and a full body bruised. The people who recognized him immediately informed Mbah Gandari of this news. Residents asked for permission to take Ayodya to the mantri house in their village. However, Mbah Gandari decisively told them to bring Ayodya home. He said he would heal his grandson.
Ayodya was very weak. His breathing was cut off, and he had to endure the pain all the time. Mbah Gandari helped him drink herbs to help with the pain.
For three days Ayodya suffered in pain, while Mbah Gandari was seen often leaving the house alone.

Tonight the lightning sounded faint. Mbah Gandari just got home. He came with a girl he called a maid. Upon entering the room, a dark shadow surrounded Ayodya. Mbah Gandari realized, the time is just a little. He immediately heads to the bed and forces Ayodya to walk out of the room to her secret room.
Inside the room, a body was seen lying on a mat. Mbah Gandari approached the body and did something. Ayodya who was struck by excruciating pain was unable to see clearly. He realized that in his grandmother's hand there was a glass of brass that somehow contained what.
Mbah Gandari was sitting next to Ayodya. He scratched the girl's palm with a small kris, covered the dripping blood and forced her to drink the liquid. Ayodya was not in power to rebel. His grandmother's energy seemed to be growing bigger. A thick liquid descended the throat, united with his body. Quickly the grandmother took off Ayodya's clothes and shed the remaining blood.
As there had not been enough torture for Ayodya, Mbah Gandari asked the girl to dance the dance he taught. Her grandmother's unreasonable request made Ayodya shake her head. However, the strong grip on his hand made him speechless.His grandmother continued to force him to dance.
With a severed breath Ayodaya began to stand up and dance slowly. The pain that enveloped his body was mixed with the heat that was emanating from within. His head was heavy, and something made his heart ache. He had seen Mbah Gandari chant a mantra that he often heard. When he was not strong, his body was dazed accompanied by a heart that stopped beating.

The light from outside dazzled Ayodya's eyes. Miraculously, he no longer felt any pain. In the corner of the room, Mbah Gandari was standing behind him.
"Grandmother..," he called her soft.
Mbah Gandari looked over and smiled. He approached Ayodya and helped him sit down. Ayodya was astonished by her grandmother's behavior. He still remembers clearly how rude Mbah Gandari was when he asked him to dance. As if he understood, Mbah Gandari helped him up and led him to walk up to the mirror.
Ayodya was amazingly shocked when she saw the shadow being glazed over. That's not him. The mirror image is not his face. It's not his body. And as if to understand, Mbah Gandari began to explain.
"Cah Ayu, forgive grandma. Grandma had to do this. Grandma can't lose you after all these years of being hurt for losing your mother. Therefore, grandma passed down Lali Jiwo to you...."
"What we did a few nights ago was the ritual of Lali Jiwo. This body is the body of another girl, but your soul is still Ayodya Dewi Lasmi. Forgive grandma."
Ayodya's eyes fumbled, unconsciously shaking her head. His feelings are mixed.he feels alien to himself.
"I don't want to be like this, Grandma... Please release me" he said, starting to cry.
Mbah Gandari wept and hugged Ayodya. He understood the girl's feelings. The same feeling she had decades ago.
"Don't be sad Cah Ayu. Eternity is yours. You can live as long as you want, without being limited to a weak body. I'm sorry, if grandma hadn't done that maybe you'd already caught up with your mom."
Ayodya's cry grew louder.he hugged her grandmother tightly.
"What should Ayodya do now Grandma?" tanyakanya.
"Go from this village. Go far. People here know you're dead. We even buried your body. Go that far away from here and start all over. Grandma can't stand by you. From now on you have to do everything yourself. Tomorrow before dawn, go as far north as possible and stay in the first village you find. Live happily Cah Ayu..." Mbah Gandari wept bitterly.
It was almost midnight when the two finished cleaning up the item that Ayodya was about to bring. Mbah Gandari accompanied his grandson for the last time. As the chickens crowed, Ayodya went to take a bath, changed her clothes and prepared to leave.
Ayodya's last hug was given to her grandmother, because I don't know when the two of them could meet again. With the tears of Mbah Gandari, Ayodya stepped out of the courtyard and through the darkness of the road.
