Schools (2)

Gotong-royong activities begin.

Some students are divided into groups. Each group has its own task.

I am now in the group of planting seedlings. Yeah, you guys weren't wrong. Our group was asked to plant seedlings behind the school.

The total members in our group were four people, in fact there were still two more groups assigned to plant seedlings as well behind the school.

“Before we plant, let's introduce ourselves each.” Boy, a slightly fat stature, a hair bowl, with observant eyes, took a step forward extending his hand to the center of the empty circle we made.

He pointed at himself, “Starting from me first. Hehe, introduce my name Ben. I'm seven years old, my favorite food is noodles, my favorite color is blue. As you can see, my clothes, pants, and scarf are also blue.”

One of the two advanced girls put on a confident face, “Include, my name is Karl and next to me is my sister, Kerl. My favorite food is boiled potatoes, while Kerl she prefers fries that are cut thin-thin.”

Karl took a step back, and pushed Kerl a step that was still timid. “Emm... and my favorite color is pink, while her favorite color is red.”

“Wah, your clothes are very nice yes, definitely expensive.” I nodded, then looked closely at the clothes they were wearing.

Karl waved his hand, blushing in embarrassment. “Ah no, our shirt is the result of picking up garbage every day at the garbage disposal center. Our money was saved, then collected. After that we then went to the market near here to buy this shirt.”

Ohh. I nodded reverently.

“Well now it's your turn again.” Ben moved his right foot forward, and pointed at me.

I gasped for a moment, then immediately corrected my attitude. “Include my name Adrian, I'm ten years old. My favorite foods are all foods that can be eaten. Then my favorite color is green.”

“Green?” Karl scratched his temple.

“E-eh? Yes, because it's my sister's favorite color.” I nodded slowly, looking down.

Kerl eyes sparkle, “Wah... You also have a sister Adrian?”

My eyes now also sparkled like Kerl, then nodded.

“Alright, talk is enough. Now let's help me plant these seeds.” Ben turned around, immediately took one of the packages containing grains.

Me, Karl, and Kerl nodded. Then helped plant the seedlings in a place that has been marked and circled by Mr. Arion.

Thirty minutes passed quickly. Me and the other students laid their bodies on the grass that had been trimmed by another group.

Moments later, Mr. Arion came to the school's backyard.

Mr. Arion wiped the sweat on his temple, looking around the page, “Wah... Everything is neat, the seeds have been planted according to the direction of the Father. Your children are reliable.” Me and the other students smilingly praised Mr. Arion. Some laughed because they were satisfied with the results.

Mr. Arion patted his hand, “All right, after you guys have rested for a while, later back again yes to the field earlier.”

“Good Sir!” We answered simultaneously.

...----------------...

Five minutes we were tired, it was time to get back on the pitch.

When he arrived at the field, there were already almost all the other disciples who had lined up neatly. It looks like only six groups (our group) are left.

“Good children, because everything has been gathered, you will give a gift from the principal because you have worked hard to clean the school environment.” Mr. Arion moved nimbly to give five stamp for each student.

We saw the stamp in our hands, like a regular stamp.

After giving the stamp, Mr. Arion stood back to his original place. “Well, do you guys know the use of this stamp?”

Many of us shook their heads, and others still noticed the stamp in his hand.

Mr. Arion looked over from end to end, then explained. “Fifth of this stamp has its own function. Stamp that has a number for the seat number that you will occupy at the festival later. Then the remaining four stamp you can exchange with the type of food and drinks you want.”

“Hah? Festival Events?” One of the disciples asked, making them whisper. Partly because of the joy of coming to the festival, others wonder what the festival is (including me).

Tetam raise hand, “But we are not shirt for to festival Pak.” Voices agree with each other to say that making the sound seemed to echo.

Mr. Arion chuckled, “Quiet. Stamp your seat is also all in a suit to go to the festival later. Just pull the number, and BUM! You guys have changed clothes.”

One-two of us squeezed the number of his stamp, and BUM (indeed there is the sound of his bum friends) their shabby clothes that were exhausted from cutong-royong, he said, in an instant it turned into an expensive looking suit.

My eyes were glaring in disbelief. Clothes like this for us to the festival? What's more, who gave him the principal? What is the headmaster of this school.

Mr. Arion patted his hands, stopping the commotion. “Oke, school today until noon only. The festival will start in five days, and in five days it will be used for school renovation. So, in the next five days of school. Understand everything?”

“People!”

...----------------...

Right now at noon, scorching. I, Abel and Tetam plucked the leaves from the banana tree to protect our heads from the scorching sun.

Abel stared at his stamp-stamp“Wah. surely Father and Mother are happy to hear we are going to the festival.”.

Tetam nodded haru, wiping his tears.

“Festival what is it?” I asked while looking at my stamps.

Tetam wipe his tears with clothes, “Festival it's kind of a celebration event, everyone can go to the event. But we have to exchange his stamp for money.”

“What are the coins?”

Tetam aligns its steps, this numbered “Stamp is usually for watching festival events live.it costs three gold coins or three hundred silver coins.”

I gasp, three hundred?! Where did that money come from?

“Then these three stamps, to exchange them for food. It cost thirty silver coins Adrian.”

“So one seat stamp to watch live is equivalent to ten food stamps?” I asked while stroking the stamp in the hand.

Tetam smiled, nodded. “Iya. And the cool thing is that we have one stamp watching the festival in person plus expensive clothes on loan and four stamp for food. If calculated, just for one person alone could spend four hundred and twenty silver coins or four gold coins and twenty silver coins.” Now Tetam looks very enthusiastic.

Well, I don't know what Tetam's talking about. But when viewed from his face, it must be a very extraordinary thing.
