Rawon Stores In Isekai

Rawon Stores In Isekai
12. Lindens

"Dad, is Dad inside?"

There was a knock outside the door in the workspace of the Foxton residence. Alfred who was checking the tax report of the people of Racian province also stopped his activities.

"Come in" said Alfred. A bodyguard opened the door, and the youngest son entered the room. The armor he was wearing, as well as the helmet in hand indicated that Linden had just returned from out of town.

"You've learned of the motive for the deception Viscount Frederik committed on your brother?" ask Alfred without further ado.

Linden stared at her father for a moment, before exhaling slowly. The man threw his body onto the sofa. "You didn't ask me how I was doing just now, instead of directly talking about Brother?"

"Why are you so sensitive?" ask the father.

"There's nothing, hehehe!" Linden smiled broadly. However, his eyes implied something else. Even so, his father was unaware.

"Then give me your report immediately." Duke Alfred said while signing the papers.

While leaning back, and drinking the tea that a waiter had just brought, Linden said, "Yes, just like Dad had thought before. He wants to bring us down through brother's innocence."

"Bad! How dare he do that to Foxton's blood!" alfred shouted furiously. The punch of his clenched hand on the table shocked the guards guarding by the door, but not so much at Linden. He remained calm sipping his tea. "You've solved the problem, haven't you?"

"certain. He's been thrown in jail" Linden said, relaxing. The tea cup in his hand was empty. He spent it in one ditch.

His father smiled with satisfaction. "Good! You are always reliable! Lucas should have looked at you!"

Linden shook her hands. "Don't be like that."

"What do you mean?" Alfred frowned.

"Silver is just too good a person. You know, don't you, it's downhill from who?"

Alfred let out a long breath, then exhaled slowly. "From your mother, of course."

Lucas is very similar to his mother, Sofia. They were both too prejudiced for everyone. His true nature was extremely noble, but it was not suitable to be the head of the Foxton Duke family. Leading the Racian province which consisted of many cities, it was impossible for every person one encountered to always have a pure white heart. There will definitely be, one or two people who intend to take advantage of the Foxton family's standing. If led by a person who is too naive, then sooner or later there will be a disaster.

"Linden, you have to keep an eye on your brother, yeah!" alfred's Perspiration.

The youngest laughed at hearing that. "I am the sister, but I also have to watch over my brother!" Linden called the waiter in the corner of the room, asking for a second cup of tea. Before long, the drink was ready to return in front of the table.

"Because you're more reliable" Alfred said briefly. "You keep drinking tea!"

The second cup of tea is half finished. Alfred looked at the behavior of his second son. Linden smiled broadly. "Tea can keep me awake. I don't like coffee!" Linden put her cup back on the table. "All the work that Brother Lucas does makes me sleepy!"

Alfred exhaled while staring at the youngest. "Please patience. Think of it as training, because if your brother fails to cultivate that land, my title will come down to you."

Linden was staring at it. "Did you know about this?"

Alfred nodded. "Cube him a year, until he can benefit from the land. To make amends for his mistakes."

"Haaah, I was too cruel to her!"

"If not, your brother won't be able to change!" alfred shouted while hitting the table in front of him.

"Don't say no!' sahut Alfred fast. "The portion of my love for you is balanced!" The Duke refocused on what he had to do.

Because I never worried like you worried about Lucas, Dad, Linden said, but he did not dare to express it directly, just inwardly.

Linden never hated her sister. Only he was annoyed every time he saw Lucas, and also too tired. Without her brother knowing, Linden must solve every problem created by Lucas. Linden also had to bear the burden of responsibility that Lucas could have borne as a successor. However, the brother is too good and too fragile, so often depressed himself.

As children, Linden and Lucas were very close. Until finally, in every single moment with his father, Lucas was always the topic of conversation. The theme has always been about how Linden can always match Lucas in anything, while Lucas has always been the unreliable.

At first, Linden was proud of herself. He was born with more skill than his peers. Linden felt that she deserved everyone's praise and began to look down on her brother. Until one night, Linden caught her brother spending food supplies in the kitchen while crying. That was the first time, Linden saw her brother who turned out to be fragile.

From then on, Linden decided to never consider herself more than Lucas. He also became more quiet when around his brother. He was afraid that all the achievements he achieved could disturb Lucas' mentality even further.

Linden is tired of all the comparisons Alfred made to him and Lucas. Over time, Linden realized that her father was not so proud of Linden, but too worried about Lucas. The additional reason why she was upset with her brother was.

"Oh, yes, have you seen Lucas?" ask Duke Alfred. Linden breathed out slowly. Just thought about it!

"Said the waiter, Big brother had gone to a place in the horse-drawn carriage this morning" replied Linden.

Alfred turned to Linden with a confused look on his face. "Well the horse carriage? Not his usual horse?"

Linden nodded. Alfred asked again, "Wear our clothes?"

"Yes, our clothes. Not wearing folk clothes." Linden. Lucas has a strange new hobby. In his spare time, Lucas often went out of the castle, riding on his large private black horse. He wore the clothes of ordinary people, without any royal frills. Like a simple tunic and vest, sometimes there are patchwork of patchwork on the surface. I don't know where Lucas got that kind of outfit. He also wears a sleeveless coat with a headscarf.

Duke Alfred, who was curious at the time, sent a bodyguard to follow his eldest son secretly. As it turns out, what Lucas did was something that surprised the father. Since then, Alfred no longer curious, but he still sent someone to escort his son from afar.

"According to my guess, Brother was going to the land he bought it," Linden said.

"Do you know what he's gonna do?"

"Come, Dad. The servants didn't tell me anything else."

"Hmmm ... ." Alfred thought for a moment. "Did he go alone?"

"Say, there were four bodyguards coming" Linden said again as she finished her tea. Then, Foxton's second son got up from the sofa. "I'll go to the room first, Dad!"

"Enough rest, yeah! Oh, before that, meet your mother first. He asked for your return."

"All right!" sahut Linden's. My father focused back on his work.

Linden shut the doors of Duke Foxton's office. There's something he didn't tell his father about Lucas' departure this morning. He didn't say Lucas was going with a very special waiter. Linden does not memorize his name, but this waitress is often rumored by her fellow colleagues at the Foxton residence.

Without anyone else knowing, Linden has a hidden informant. His father didn't even know. Through this informant, Linden seemed to have ears all over Abbott castle.

From this informant, Linden also found out that the waiter that Lucas brought this morning, was the one who often entered his brother's room every night, then only came out in the early hours of the morning.
