Rayshard stared intently at the girl in front of him who was crossing his arms in front of his chest. Ray didn't even think how Khania could do what he thought was beyond reason.

"What's up, Uncle? Does Uncle not like my presence here? I didn't expect it to turn out that Uncle had been living in this luxurious place all this time?"

Ray shook his head slowly. "I have to call Disha. He must be very worried about you." Ray grabs his phone and looks for Disha's contact.

"It's not my fault! It's Uncle's fault!" Khania's shrieking voice made Ray look back at the girl.

"My fault? How could this be my fault?" ray asked, not believing Khania's words.

"Uncle said he would accompany me for a week. But actually ... Uncle lied!"

Ray took his breath. "alright. Uncle is sorry."

"Can't! This matter will not be resolved just by apologizing. Let me stay here for a week!" khania.

"Whatdidyou say? One week?" Ray massaged his temple.

"Really! In exchange for Uncle's lies." Khania looked at Ray sharply.

"alright. Just one week! Not more!" ray answered giving up.

"okay!"

A call came into Ray's phone shortly. As he had predicted, Disha must have contacted him.

"Your aunt called" Ray said, showing her the screen.

"Let's just!" reply Khania relax.

Ray shifts the green button and talks to Disha. During the conversation, Ray kept staring at Khania. The girl just put her shoulder.

"You don't worry. He's here" said Ray, still staring at Khania.

"Just calm! I'll send him back after a week. Okay, alright. See you soon."

Ray ends the call with Disha. Ray kept staring intently at Khania.

"You saw it for yourself, right? Everyone's worried about you and you're relaxed."

"If Uncle had not reneged on Uncle's promise, then none of this would have happened."

Khania passed from Ray's presence and entered the room.

Today Khania's coming with Ray to his office. What can be done, Khania continues to whine and make Ray careless. Ray doesn't want Khania to be reckless if the man forbids it.

"Do you know what kind of danger there is in this town?" ray asked as they walked towards Ray's room.

"I know! The sale of illegal firearms, illegal drugs and the narc0ba cartel. I see it often in movies" Khania replied lightly.

"But this isn't in the movie, Khania."

"okay! I'll keep up with Uncle's wishes."

Ray nodded and did not want to argue with Khania anymore. Ray entered his study and there were three of Ray's men there.

"Hello all. Meet me, this is Khania!" ray introduced me.

"Hello all!" Khania gave a sweet greeting.

Isabel glanced at Ray and Khania implied a meaning. Isabel wants to talk about work. And of course Khania could not carelessly hear it.

"Khania, help you play outside first. There's something Uncle has to do here" asked Ray in his soft voice.

"Hmm, okay." Khania replied resignedly and then came out of the room.

Ray's three men seem to notice Khania. Only Isabel dared to comment.

"What is this, sir? Why is he here?" ask Isabel.

"Are we going to talk about this?" Ray asked back with his flat voice.

"Sorry, Sir. Look, I got word that the Investigative Department at the ISS has set up a special team to identify the perpetrators of the crime based on their profiles. I don't know for sure who the team members are in it. For sure they'll be assigned with us."

Ray looked silent. Lexi and Bastian were also just looking at each other.

"Are you sure they want to help us? Or is there actually some ulterior intent behind this?" ask Ray.

"That's .. I don't know for sure. This case has been going on for 8 years and we found nothing about the profile of the perpetrator."

"Then what do you think I should do?" ray asked, looking at the three men. "I've done everything I could. I even moved here because I was sure that person was in town."

"Based on the information I got, the profile-specific team usually visited the prisoners who had the same cases that investigators handled. Maybe we can use them." said Bastian.

"We can find out who the prisoners are in the same case as we're dealing with. Profile behavior that acts like Robinhood" Lexi said.

"Do you think this could work?" ask Ray.

"Team Special Profile suggests such, sir. Two more years on this case will be suspended and we'll be withdrawn from this mission if we still haven't caught the culprit" Isabel said.

"Our work is at stake here, sir," he continued.

Ray closed his eyes for a moment. It has been eight years since Ray pursued the perpetrators of the murder of suspected corruption cases and other public cases, the average person with a position not playing games.

Outside the room, Khania secretly listens to Ray and his three students. Khania began to feel sad because it turned out that Ray's job was so heavy even his career is now on the edge.

Later that night, Khania knocks on Ray's office door. The girl opened the door slowly after knocking.

"No, comein!" Ray tidied up the files on his desk.

"Why haven't you slept?" ray asked then while looking at Khania.

"Not sleepy yet. Uncle, why are you still working? Hasn't Uncle been working all day?"

"Uncle's work is not a job that will be completed at one time."

"I knew. Maybe Uncle can ask my opinion if he's willing."

Ray laughed a little.

"Uncle don't laugh at me. Did you forget I was a law student? If there's anything Uncle wants to discuss, I'm willing to help."

"First semester freshman? What did you just learn, son?" Ray shook his head slowly.

Khania doesn't seem to like Rayshard's attitude.

"Will Uncle continue to think of me as a child? Is being an adult proud of you? Even if you are adults, can't you listen to what this little boy wants to say? Is not an opinion not only given by adults? Why underestimate a child? Sometimes adults also need to hear what a child wants to say."

Khania leaves Ray's study after saying all the telling words to the man.

Ray rubbed his face. "I'm sorry, Khania. I didn't mean to."

Ray closed his eyes. "Everything about you reminds me of Khayla. How can I live my life so well if you're always shadowing me, Khay. What am I supposed to do?" lirih Ray in his heart.

In the morning, Ray was getting ready at the dinner table for breakfast. Khania also walked to the dining table that Ray had there.

"Good morning, Khania."

"Good morning, Uncle."

"Is your sleep good?"

"Lumayan."

"What do you want to do today?"

"Of course."

Ray took his breath. It seems Khania is still angry because of last night's incident.

"If you want to go around town, then I'll let you."

Khania's eyes suddenly widened. He didn't think Ray would say something like that.

"Am I going with Uncle?" ask Khania.

"No. I'll ask Isabel to accompany you."

Khania looked upset again. "Then there's no need. I can go alone."

Khania got out of her chair and left Ray.

"Khaniah! Where are you going?" exclaiming Ray.

Ray had to lose to Khania. That girl has a million ways to beat Ray up.

Khania is already in Ray's office after the drama this morning.

"Isabel will accompany you around" said Ray.

"What?" Isabel was surprised.

"Sir, what does this mean?" ask Isabel.

"Take Khania around town. I'll calm down if you're with him."

Isabel still did not understand Ray's thoughts. "Sir, I'm not a baby sitter!" emphatically.

"And just so you know I'm not a kid either!" khania does not want to lose.

"Khania, please! I have a responsibility to take care of you. And I have to keep my promise to Disha. Please don't argue!" Ray spoke softly so that Khania would obey.

And evidently, Khania finally resigned. Then Isabel also had to do her job of guarding Khania.

"Basic trouble!" grumbled Isabel in heart.

Khania went around town with Isabel. They walk enjoying the atmosphere of the city.

"There is nothing special" muttered Khania who could still be heard by Isabel.

"Then why don't you just go back? You will only trouble Ray, "reply Isabel.

Khania rolled her eyes lazily. "It's none of your business I want to be here or not."

"You're just gonna be a burden to Mr. Ray."

Khania. "Whatdidyou say? A burden? Even I can help you if only you could trust me a little. But in fact you always thought of me as a child!" Khania angry. He quickened his steps and left Isabel.

"Hey, where are you going?" Isabel walked quickly. But Isabel lost track of Khania who disappeared among the crowd.

"Damn! That girl is just troublesome!" Isabel immediately grabbed her phone and called Ray.
