- M-City Central Hospital
Khania started to open her eyes. He moved it slowly to adjust the light entering his eyes. He looked around his place lying. He knew this wasn't his house.
Suddenly a clear circle flowed from the little girl's eyes. The shadow of losing both his parents made him sad again.
Khania started to get up and sit down. Now he knows he is in the hospital. She saw her grandmother sleeping on the sofa in her room.
Khania got down from her vault and walked out of the room. Silent and dark. Khania walked out looking for some fresh air.
His breathing felt tight recalling all the bitter memories that had occurred in his life. The little girl kept walking until she finally arrived at the roof of the hospital building.
The night breeze plays its long hair loosely. He cried in silence.
Unexpectedly Khania heard someone who was also sobbing like her. Khania circulated her gaze and looked at a boy who seemed to be the same age as her.
Khania looked at the boy questioningly. The boy seemed to be living his fate. Then there was the sound of a child approaching the boy.
"Sister! What's sister doing? Brother, don't leave me!" The 5-year-old boy was crying while holding his brother's hand.
"Let go! Why do we keep living? No one cares about us anymore? There is nothing left in our lives! We'd better go after mom and dad!" the boy replied with a cry.
Khania was stunned at the heartbreaking sight. It turned out that the fate of the two boys was the same as her.
"No, Brother! Brother can't die! If you die what about me?" The little boy continued to cry and hugged his sister's body.
The boy was silent. He closed his eyes and thought for a moment.
"We die together, sister! It would be better than facing this cruel world! There is no justice here! There is nothing we can trust anymore in this world!"
Khania rounded her eyes to hear the boy's words.
"Come, Brother!" The little man grabbed his sister's hand and led her to the edge of the roof of the building. Yeah, they plan on jumping down.
As fast as lightning Khania pulled the little sister's hand until their bodies crashed.
"Are you crazy? If you want to die, then die alone! Don't bring your innocent sister!" shouted Khania who was also crying had broken.
The boy was stunned because his action was caught by a girl who was upset with him.
"Is the world too cruel for you? If so, is dying the way out of all your problems? Is it by dying that you'll be able to make it all end? Can your problems be solved only by death?" khania.
The little man stared at Khania in disbelief. Just this time he saw a little girl so loudly yelling at him.
Shortly after, the nurses came to the roof of the building as they searched for Khania and the two male patients. Amara also apparently woke up because she did not find Khania in her nursery.
Amara hugged Khania tightly. The middle-aged woman was crying as she pleased. He was afraid that his grandson would do something bad.
......***......
The next day, Khania was declared recovered and she was allowed to return home. Amara is happy that her grandson has improved even though the look of sadness is still clearly drawn there.
No questions about his parents were raised from Khania's lips. The little girl looked gloomy and only responded as necessary.
Ray came to see Khania and saw the condition of the little girl.
"Thank you for coming, son Ray," said Amara.
"Don't hesitate, Auntie," Ray replied and looked at Khania.
Ray approached Khania. "Thank God you're okay. Uncle hope, you will be able to rise from all this sadness. Uncle sure you can, Khania!"
Khania looked flat at Ray and then nodded her head. Disha and Dika came after taking care of the administration of Khania's return.
"Darling, are you ready?" disha asked with a gentle caress of the top of Khania's head.
Khania only replied with a nod. They say goodbye to Ray who turns out there is still business in the hospital.
Ray stared at Khania who went with his family. "I'm sorry, Khay. I promise I'll take good care of your daughter" Ray murmured.
Ray stood in front of the patient's ward. It was seen that a doctor was examining the condition of the two patients who were there.
"Don't repeat something like that! Trust me, you can get through this, for sure" said the doctor.
"Are you not sorry for your sister? She needs you!" continue the doctor.
Ray knocked on the door to interrupt the conversation going on inside. The doctor and nurse turned and let Ray in.
Ray saw two gurneys there. The brothers were in the same treatment room. It seems that my sister is sleeping in a dream.
Ray approached the brother's gurney.
"How are you, Randy?" ray tried to say hello.
"I'm Ray." Ray extended his hand introducing himself.
The boy just looked at Ray's hand.
"Randy, this is Mr. Ray. Let's say hi to him!" the doctor spoke.
"I already know! He's an ISS agent, isn't he? What did the ISS get from my father's case?" Randy said softly and coldly to Ray.
Randy Haryanto is a 10-year-old boy who lives with his brother after his parents died. His father was caught in a corruption case and arrested by the authorities. Before his trial, Randy's father died in prison. His mother, shocked by news of Randy's father's death, becomes depressed. In the end, he burned down the entire house and its contents along with himself and his children. Luckily Randy and his sister, Reksa, survived the fire. But her mother could not be saved.
Randy and Reksa were taken to the hospital to treat some burns. Although not severe, but their sense of trauma is more important to be healed. It's been 10 days for Randy and Mutual to be hospitalized.
Ray smiled at the glint of anger in Randy's eyes. He knew the boy was angry with the world. Angry at all who have taken away all their happiness to be unceremonious.
"Doctor, after this who will they stay with? If there are no other relatives, I am willing to take care of them" Ray said.
"The plan was that distant relatives of his late father would be willing to care for them both, Mr. Ray," the doctor replied.
"Don't you fucking care! We don't need your mercy!" randy's Snaps.
The doctor wanted to break up Randy but was prevented by Ray. He asks the doctor and nurse to get out of Randy's room.
After the doctors and nurses left, Ray approached Randy.
"I'm sorry for what happened to your family. I'm so sorry." Ray held onto both of Randy's shoulders.
"Strict, Son! You must be strong! You have to prove to the world that you are not a weak child. I'm sure someday you'll be a great man. Make both your parents proud and see you succeed from up there."
Ray reaches into his pocket and gives Randy a round pendant.
"Save this! Remember that I always support you and pray for you. Do your best for you and your brother!" Ray glanced at Reksa who was still closed.
"I'll excuse you! Hopefully when we meet again, I see you turn into a great figure!" Ray rattled Randy's hair slowly and then passed.
Randy stared at Ray Nanar's departure. He saw his hand holding a pendant that turned out to be a medal.
"Medali award?" Randy frowned reading the inscription on the medal.
Randy's eyes warmed. He exits the room and searches for Ray.
"Uncle! Uncle Ray!" shouted the boy with a cry that could no longer be contained.
The new Ray stepped slowly, turning his body.
"I promise I'll be a great person like Uncle!" randy said with determination along with tears.
Ray smiled at Randy. He nodded as a sign that he was so proud of Randy.
