PRISONER CRUEL CEO

PRISONER CRUEL CEO
Chapter 22

"Demian, what do you think of living here?"

Instantly Demian fell silent on his seat hearing the question.

This morning, there was no wind, and suddenly his father asked him such a thing.

What's the matter?

"Yes, that's fine." Demian replied briefly. He felt a little awkward hearing the question.

Logan stared long at his son's flat face, though Logan knew his first son was trying to avoid eye contact with him.

Logan smiled a little. For a moment he fell silent, then sighed softly recalling the conversation between himself and Lion last night.

"Is there something, Dad?" asked Demian who was now looking at her father.

Although the people out there judged Demian to be a figure who did not care around because of his flat expression, he was, but in fact he is the most sensitive person and will not stay silent when something happens to his family.

Logan returned the look of his son's eyes that now looked so serious.

"Not a big thing." Logan answered briefly.

Demian doesn't believe his father's words. He continued to look at Logan, making the middle-aged man sigh while chuckling.

"Basic is stubborn" Logan said, shaking his head. It was hard to escape Demian's gaze, unless the boy was satisfied to hear the answer he thought was right.

"Daddy and Uncle Lion have a problem?" ask Demian.

Logan immediately shook his head. "It's not like that. Just .... What do you think of cousins?"

Suddenly, Logan switched the conversation making Demian frown.

Demian sighed softly. He began to know what his father meant.

"Adding to some I don't feel bad," Demian said, starting to eat breakfast again in front of him.

For a moment Logan was silent at the answer, then laughed softly. His son understood the situation.

"Hurry eating. If you haven't finished your conversation with Lion, you better get it done. Because you have to go back to Italy to take care of the company there."

"Good, Dad."

"If you're tired, tell Daddy. Daddy's gonna take over while you rest."

"Yes, Dad."

'When will I hear my son speak at length?' inner Logan with a smile on himself.

I don't know where that nature came from. And he and Zara don't have that kind of silence.

"Who are you really, anyway?"

Demian stopped his movement. Staring at the father who was also looking at him while laying his face.

"I think the test results." Demian replied briefly, making his father laugh.

What answer is that? Logan laughed until his stomach hurt.

The two girls eyes on the gurney blinked several times looking at the figure standing before him.

"Are you okay, Uncle?" tanya Raila resuscitates Lion from the reverie.

Instantly the man gasped. He put a sweet smile on his lips, then refocused on his work.

"If Uncle is not healthy, maybe you should take a leave of absence first. It's not good to push yourself too hard, Uncle." said Raila worried.

The girl cared deeply for the figure before her. Since Lion was a figure he admired, it was hard to explain what awe Raila felt.

He and Lion had only met a few times in certain moments. But the sense of awe he felt did not just disappear in his heart or perhaps not the sense of admiration he felt anymore?

"How are you feeling, Raila? Does anything hurt somewhere?" asked Lion looking at the face that now looks worried looking at him.

The man chuckled softly, rubbing Raila's hair to make the girl close her eyes.

"Not to worry. I'm fine, soon I'll rest" Lion said, trying to calm Raila's heart.

No response from Raila. The girl turned her eyes in the other direction while sighing softly.

A disheveled face, a sore lip. Can it be said to be okay?

It turns out to be true, said his Aunty. Doctors can help people who are injured, but sometimes they don't know how to treat wounds on their own.

"If Uncle has a problem, don't hold it alone. There are many people who are ready to listen and help Uncle."

Lion smiled at Raila. He rubbed the girl's hair in front of him.

"Thank you."

Raila nodded her head, "don't hesitate to do something Uncle should. Better to try and fail, than not to try at all."

Suddenly Lion flinched. His tongue was faint, it was as if slapping his cheek.

"Thank you, Raila." Lion said with a smile.

Raila smiled until her eyes narrowed in response to the thanks from the figure she admired.

At 14:08 WIB.

A middle-aged woman was sitting inside one of the restaurants. The woman looks around, as if waiting for someone to arrive there.

Suddenly a pair of legs stood beside her desk, making the woman look up and smile to find the figure she had arrived.

"Adelia." said Zeline girang. He immediately moved from his seat, embracing the body of the woman he had thought of as his own child.

"How are you, honey?" ask Zeline without taking off her arms.

There's no answer. Just a tight hug that Zeline felt from those tiny hands.

While Adelia tried to hold back tears so as not to fall wet her cheeks. He wanted to cry and tell Zeline everything, but he couldn't.

Feeling that there was no answer, Zeline immediately loosened her embrace. Staring fixed eyes Adelia who looks like holding back crying.

"Are you okay?" ask Zeline, still no answer.

"Aelia?" the soft voice managed to make Adelia's cry break.

The woman cried so hard that it attracted the attention of some visitors inside the restaurant. While Zeline looked so surprised, she immediately hugged back Adelia who was crying loudly.

"It's okay, honey. It's okay," said Zeline rubbing Adelia's trembling back.

Not far from the table, there was a figure of a man staring worriedly at Adelia and Zeline.

He tried to restrain himself from getting out of his seat and approached the two men, because if he moved rashly. He could get angry with his boss.

'Miss Adelia looks so tormented. Why doesn't the Master want to let go?' inner Polin with a sad look looked at Adelia who was being hugged tightly by Zeline.

A few hours earlier.

Polin stopped his steps right in front of the door of the Emperor's study. The man raised his hand, then knocked on the door several times until he heard a voice coming from within.

He stepped into the room, staring at the Emperor who now looked so serious about doing something from his laptop.

Though the clock has shown at 4 am, but the boss continues to work without sleep since returning from the warehouse. If it is crazy to work like this, then Polin can conclude if the Emperor's mood is bad.

"You're calling me, sir?" polin asked as he arrived at the table.

The Emperor looked up at Polin, then nodded slowly.

"Yes," he said briefly, then refocused on his laptop.

"I want you to accompany Adelia out when you meet my Dad's Friend's Wife."

Instantly Polin flinched. The two hands of the burly man clasped tightly behind his body.

"Master .. Can I ask you a question?" Polin lowered his head staring at the floor.

Instantly the Emperor stopped the movement of his hand over the laptop keyboard. Diverting that dagger-like gaze to focus on staring at his confidant.

"What?" ask Emperor.

Polin bit his lower lip. He was afraid to offend his Boss, a figure who had given him confidence.

After a long consideration, Polin sighed softly.

"Why don't you let go of Miss Adelia? Didn't you already know that Miss Adelia wasn't the culprit behind the accident. So it's clear that he's innocent, sir." said Polin, recalling the information he saw accidentally on the previous Emperor's desk. Information that was somehow obtained from nowhere by his Boss, considering that Bram and he had done everything possible to get information about the accident.

"Poly."

Polyn's body stiffened. Both of his eyes were wide with trembling hands.

"You want me to let go or not. It has nothing to do with you. And you need to know, I will never let go of something that has entered my territory. Whether it's goods or humans, they've been mine since entering this mansion." said the Emperor coldly with a flat but piercing look.

"So you better not say something as useless as that if you still love your life."
