Pet Soul Charm

Pet Soul Charm
Chapter 3: Forced Towards Death

“Pa!! My pa!! Pa!!”

Several applause sounds rang out in the bloody camp; signaling that the terrifying nightmare was finally over!

The smell of blood in the camp was carried away by the caress of the sea breeze and began to seep into the surrounding environment. Quite appropriately, rain began to fall from the sky onto the campground, splashing onto the trembling faces of the children. It washed away the small corpses of children lying in pools of their own blood, clearing the blood from their bodies.

The campground began to become muddy as rainwater and blood mixed in…

The ruthless Hunting Wolves are held back by their Pet Soul Trainers. After the massacre, there were only fifty people left, the rest had met a death; the nightmare there the body might have already devoured their souls. Then, their bodies would be taken to another area where Nightmare, which had eaten its contents, would be removed from the corpses which would then be thrown into the limitless ocean.

“Starting tomorrow, you can move independently around the island. The Island contains an abundance of Soul Pets that are suitable for you, and you can choose to sign a soul covenant and practice on the Island with them.

“In three months time, you will participate in a decisive duel. Those who finish in the top ten will be sent to another island where they will continue their Nightmare training. As for the others, hmph, you will be thrown into the sea as shark bait!” The middle-aged man pointed at the surviving children and spoke to them in a loud voice.

After speaking, the middle-aged man revealed a heartless smile as he continued speaking: “Of course, you should not ignore the Nightmare on your body. If you do not quickly increase your own Soul Power, then you will end up being a miserable meal.”.

When he mentioned the Nightmare on their bodies, the faces of the children paled many times. Each of their expressions was blunt, as they were overwhelmed by the feeling of helplessness and despair from being chased to the bitter end by death.

“Come back to your nest. You should feel happy because you survived. It is a pity that tomorrow, you will face the challenge of death again! One more thing, a piece of advice, do not enter the inner region of the island; that place is the zone of death for you!”

Without mercy, he sneered and the 13 foremen turned and left. What was left behind them were 50 bodies covered in blood, on the campground.

The rainwater continued to wash these tiny corpses out of blood. The surviving children could only step on their corpses to walk out of the campsite and to other locations in the camp where they lived.

The lodging facilities consisted of 25 wooden houses; they could still be considered durable and beautiful as they sat neatly next to the sea. Thus it can be said that the environment is not bad.

Of course, the reason why the surroundings were not bad was not because those cold-hearted people wanted to give the children good lodging accommodation. Instead, the island was meant to be a long-term Nightmare training camp. When this batch of children died or left, other children would be sent here and their tears and blood would reappear.

Chu Mu's back was already split apart and returning to his own wooden house was obviously very heavy.

As soon as he opened the door, Chu Mu felt someone splash water onto his back, causing a wave of searing pain to pierce through his wound.

Chu Mu angrily turned around and saw Zhou Shengmo smiling which caused someone to hate him when he saw her.

“What luck do you have. You don't even die this way!” Zhou Shengmo sneered.

Chu Mu laughed grimly and could not be bothered to argue with this person. This was because in Chu Mu's eyes, sooner or later, Zhou Shengmo would become a dead man. Even if he were not slaughtered by the foreman Soul Pets, Chu Mu would personally kill this bastard!

“To be honest, when we were on the field, I helped you. Perhaps in a short time, when the Nightmare engulfs your soul, you will regret not being killed quickly by the claws of the Hunting Wolf, as it is not as bad as bearing the pain of having one's soul preyed upon! Ha ha ha!" Zhou Shengmo laughed out loud and as soon as he finished speaking, he turned around and suddenly left.

Chu Mu watched the somewhat fat and burly person and sneered. At this age, the expression he showed should not be this ingenious.

The shrewdness that Chu Mu possessed came from his clan's education coupled with being forced to undergo this kind of hellish activity.??Every child sent here will have a dark and heartless heart.

Chu Mu opened the door and walked over to the wooden house.

Originally, there were three other people living in that wooden house. However, it was very clear that they would never be able to return again. After all, the three of them were too weak and small.

Chu Mu did not interact with them and only remembered that among them, there was a little girl. The body of this girl was weaker than that of a male and the chances of the girl surviving under the attack of the Wolf Hunt's claws were almost nonexistent. Hence, it could now be assumed that the wooden house belonged to Chu Mu exclusively.

Blood was still flowing from Chu Mu's back and he changed his wet clothes first and used water to clean up the impurities in his body. Next, he cleaned his wound and then, from his drawer, took the wound medicine for the wound left by the foreman.

It was clear that using the wound medicine alone to reach the wound on his back would be extremely difficult. Chu Mu lay on the bed and looked abnormally tense. He shouted loudly and even managed to injure his wound a few times. However, he ended up not succeeding in applying the medicine to his wound.

"Aah!"

The two voices appeared very suddenly. The previous voice was relatively beautiful, but because Chu Mu was unaware that there was someone else in the room, he jumped onto the bed very vigilantly. The reason why he let out a pitiful scream was because of the intense movement that caused a wave of pain that split through his wound.

“This is you... you are not dead..” When Chu Mu saw the young girl who was soaking wet ( ?° ?? ?°)??, he laughed bitterly.

“I survived by chance.. Let me help you apply it..” said the girl.

The girl's name was Ting Yu and she also lived in the wooden house. Chu Mu believed that he was dead and did not expect that other than a few scratches, there were suddenly no obvious injuries. He seems like a smart kid too.

Chu Mu nodded his head and lay on the bed, letting Ting Yu help him apply medicine to his wound.

While the girl was helping him apply the medicine, Chu Mu still maintained a hint of vigilance. After all, in three months, only 10 people could survive. If this seemingly weak child was cruel and merciless, there was a chance that he would want to thin out the competition and kill him while using excuses to use medicine!

Ting Yu very carefully smeared the medicine. There were no faint movements during the entire process and Chu Mu slowly felt his pain lessen.

“Today I helped you, so in the future, if I have any problems, you should also help me. Is that okay?" After Ting Yu wrapped Chu Mu up, he spoke.

The girl was very realistic, but stated that she had no ill intentions towards Chu Mu. He just wanted to maintain the relationship as an ally.

Chu Mu nodded his head and timidly said: "I will try my best ..."

“My Cyan Nightmare growth is very fast. Within ten days, he had a chance to mature to the third stage. I fear that my Soul Power is not enough to supply it and my own soul will be devoured by it. ” Ting Yu sat on her own bed and hugged her knees as she shivered in the cold.

"Try your best if you don't want to die ..." Chu Mu could only offer a comfort phrase for Ting Yu's hidden bitterness.

Soul Pet had a way to increase their strength; the Devil Nightmare Soul Pet was no different.

For example, the Wolf Hunt in front of Chu Mu earlier. From birth to infancy, the Hunter Wolf will begin to experience what is called maturation and will begin to grow from the first stage.

The Hunting Wolves foremen on Nightmare Island had all already reached the fifth stage and their attack power was extremely strong. Children, without the strength to bind a chicken, would definitely not be able to fight them.

As for the Nightmare in Chu Mu and the other children on the island body, they would also grow up step by step. Right now, everyone's Nightmare might have already entered the second stage.

Every time Nightmare took the stage, the amount of food she needed would increase. Previously, there were at least 200-300 people whose souls had been consumed when their Nightmares reached the second stage because their Soul Power was not enough to nurture the Nightmare.

“I feel as if you are not worried at all. Are you very confident in yourself?” Ask Ting Yu.

Chu Mu bitterly shook his head, but did not speak to Ting Yu.

To be honest, among all the other children, Chu Mu was the one who was least likely to survive the Nightmare attack.

This was because all the other children had signed the Soul Pact with Cyan Nightmare. Only Chu Mu had kept the White Nightmare in his body that was far more terrifying than the Cyan Nightmare.

While both of them were in the second stage, White Nightmare would still eat more than Cyan Nightmare. In addition, the more it grows, the amount of food it needs will also double. This was not something that a child could bear and this was also the reason why all the foremen strongly believed that Chu Mu was dead.

The number of people who managed to survive the White Nightmare curse was almost zero. In other words, White Nightmares were basically assassins and Chu Mu's fate was already decided when he made a Soul Pact with White Nightmare.

This forced-to-die form could only force Chu Mu to unleash his greatest potential to increase his own strength!
