Home (I)

"If home is a place where we are enthusiastic to come back, calm down, and happy to linger in it. It is the pedestrian who has the most houses. Whether it's a building, a mountain, an ocean, or a person"

Surya Kencana Square Night.

"Thank you" said Rara who had just come out and stood in front of the tent, he was a few steps behind Edy who was sitting hugging himself with his own hands on the edge of the spring. "Sorry, i......"

"I don't want to hear any arguments" Edy cuts. He was still looking at Rara. "Rest. Recover your body as fast as you can, then I'll take you down" he continued coldly.

Rara stepped closer to Edy. A small stone fell into the spring as he lowered his body and sat down at Edy's side on the edge of the Springs.

the two men allowed the night to convey God's plan. In the middle, the moon shone its own shadow. It evokes the sounds of night animals, water lizards, and the whirling wind that danced the leaves. A pair of resistors, Edy and Rara, lay themselves out in the evenings of the Kencana solar Square. Adjoining.

"What's in your head this time?"rara lirih said.

Edy refused to speak. His gaze fell on the same spot as Rara, where the moon floated in the middle of the spring.

Rara moved to change her seat slightly. He pulled something out of the sleeping bag that covered him. Edy's portable MP3 is in his hands that doesn't stop vibrating. Rara put it between her seat and Edy. Song by , Mustace and beard - Smile brings a message.

"The fragrance soaked the bottom of my heart, blushing flying over my asia. Also hiding behind the nerves of my smile" Rara sings softly

"The rhythm of the tempo of the pulse is speeding, fast moving past the doubt" the inner Edy continued.

"According to hide, behind my words" Rara sang softly again.

'Since when did Rara love Mustace and beard?' edy asked in his heart when he saw Rara so eloquently singing and quoting songs from mustace and beard.

Despite enjoying the song, Edy was still silent. In his mouth only came out smoke and the sound of coffee being slurped. While Rara continued to speak her own words, repeating the lyrics of the song that alternated between them.

Songs changed, songs from Fletch - Laraku, your pills. As before, Rara was still as eloquent in singing and Edy was still silent and kept asking questions and guessing Rara in silence.

"Cusodik asked

You slap me with a bang

Which universe are you aiming for?

We're chasing time

Murderous

Blow down my body

Drifting in the cradle" Rara and Edy sing together. Rara with a soft voice, while Edy sang in her heart.

Mp3 Edy, which is usually dominated by Mustace and beard songs and some local indiefolk songs, now contains several additional songs. Rara added it. In his heart Edy often wonders himself responding to the songs he just listened to. Edy likes some new songs that Rara put in her MP3 portable. The lyrics, the musicality, the indie characters singing it, and so on, actually it keeps Edy curious. Only, Edy chose to stick to his attitude, he did not want to be seen to outsmart Rara. He felt he had to continue to take care of his cold and cynical side.

Asking about the song or anything against Rara will only make Rara feel comfortable and make her feel like her deed is forgivable. 'Rara must still feel guilty about her decision to come here' Edy's inner self.

The song changed again. Banda Neira - A broken growing that is lost alternately. Edy knows about this song, Edy likes it. Only he did not put it on the playlist for what reason. Rara added it.

"Fall down and fall on my land

Dust all over my body

Hot and stinging

Rebah and rust" Rara repeats the song's lyrics.

Edy moved his head to look at the MP3. Rara captures the response code Edy gave her.

"This is what's in the piss. He misses you" Rara said.

Edy returned her gaze forward. There was no word from her mouth for Rara.

The song broke off in the middle of the road. Cold air makes mp3 batteries run out faster. The Night Beast and the sound of nature returned to be masters of his home. Silence regained control of the pair, Edy and Rara.

Edy stood up and stepped into the tent. Rara looked at the silhouette of Edy's body tidying up and preparing something inside the tent. Before long he came out with a roll of mattress and his spare sleeping bag in front of the tent. Edy laid her body there.

Rara's still in her place. The moon is right above his head. The air is getting colder. From the indentation of the sleeping bag that fumbles on her, it can be seen that Rara folded her legs and wrapped her arms inside. Her teeth chuckled, Rara trembled. Without any interaction, Rara was unable to fight the cold in the new place where she first came and passed the nights.

Still in the same place, on top of the large rock edge of the Springs, without a plan, Rara's body fell down shivering. His eyes were closed, his breathing was short irregular, his head was dizzy, the air and nothing pressed down on his entire body.

The colder it gets, the more Rara loses control of her body. Rara felt like she was floating, she was moving under the sky, occasionally she opened her eyes, in her view there were flickering stars and white clouds sailing wobbling in the air. Before long, his body fell slowly to a place where the sky was red. A silhouette of shadowy figures moved above his head.

"Edy" said Rara.

Body warmed. Rara's consciousness recovered, she knew now that someone had brought her into the tent. Two sleeping bag stacked wrapped around him, his legs are now wearing legs with a plastic bag inside.

Edy keeps moving to fix Rara. A stack of t-shirts wrapped in dry bags was placed Edy under Rara's head.

Realizing Edy's actions to him, Rara chose to keep quiet and not say a word. He wanted to be considered cold. Considered unconscious. No matter how, he wanted that hand, Edy's hand, to keep taking care of it, to keep taking care of it.

Rara's body trembled again, this time not because of the cold air attacking her. A finger touched his cheek, Edy confirmed Rara's hair to the side. From the interaction and light of the tent lights that blinded his eyes, in the closed, Rara knew that Edy was looking at his face. Edy froze her gaze right above Rara's head.

the lights turned red. Tent zippers close up. Edy slept outside, on a mattress under his flysheet bivouac.

Still in the morning, only the sun has gone high above the newfinger. Edy woke up from her sleep. For a moment he was shocked, on top of his body there was now a sleeping Bag. 'Rara did it' Edy thought.

Edy got up and sat down stretching his body.he stretched his hands, he flicked his own shoulders and tipped his neck. A breakfast was ready nearby. 'Rara did it' Edy thought again. He looked at the tent, the door was open. Rara's not in it.

Edy looked at the food. Rara cooks rice, noodles, and Tuna. The rice is not perfectly mature. Naturally, cooking rice on the mountain does have to have a certain technique. Winds that stabilize the fire often damage the ripeness of rice. Rara who had only done it for the first time on the mountain probably did not know that.

Edy stepped into the path of the spring. He drowned his face to refresh himself. Tug, suddenly Edy felt something coming knocking his head from above the water surface. 'little fish' thought Edy.

Edy took his head out. A can of tuna floated nearby. Eyebrows wrinkling. He lifted the can while guessing something.

"Rome!" edy said in anger as he found an instant noodle wrap in a can of tuna he found.

After filling his nesting in the waterway which is usually inhabited by many dragonflies on the surface, Edy returned to the Tent with a pretty emotional face. The steps are big, the road is fast, the water in the nesting is spilling. In his head was composed some words of advice that he would throw to Rara related to the garbage dishes that Rara threw away.

"Come, Edy.. Don't forget to eat" Rara shouted from a distance as Edy got to the tent.

Edy stood nailing herself to see Rara from a distance. He took a deep breath. Rara who looks healthy and carefree makes Edy undo his intention to scold Rara.

Edy decides to control his emotions, build his mood, and start the day with good things. He lights the stove, cooks water, makes coffee, and smokes cigarettes. A simple ritual every morning. For Edy, after waking up, coffee, cigarettes, and sitting with wet hair were an important series that stood on a level below prayer.

When that coffee brew landed in his mouth, his negative emotions turned into calmness. Not to mention after he sucked deeply the first pull of the twisting of his cigarette. Edy's getting her good morning back.

Edy walked to the stone edge of the spring. He dropped his body on the rock. He put his hand in the water to invite the little fish to come.

"Good morning, happy fish" he said.

Strange, in the water, that morning there was only a reflection of his face. Small fish who usually want to play with the jemari dance, this morning no one showed his form.

Edy moved to another rock. He played his fingers again. Just, similarly, there are no small fish there. Edy guessed while looking at his own face in the water. The deciduous leaves and dead weeds driven by the wind passed by repeatedly adorned the reflection of Edy's face in the water. Before long, a lump of white foam flowed slowly before his eyes. Edy touched and scanned it.

"Soap?" Edy's surprised.

"Ed.." Rara called. Edy stood on the rock watching Rara. "I've washed all your clothes." cried Rara again.

Edy focused his attention. He saw Rara was chopping small trees, some had been made into clothesline as is. Edy's eyes widened watching everything, His emotions accumulating. Guess, Rara can't be broken.

Furious he walked over to Rara.

"Female number one on campus!" said Edy who was getting closer to Rara's place.

"What, Ed?" ask Rara.

"Students with GPA are near perfect! Chairman of a renowned organization!" Edy is speechless with his trademark innuendo and cynicism.

Rara doesn't understand. He was silent thinking about something, his feeling of saying something bad was going to happen.

"Stupid!" Edy takes tramontina from Rara's hands. "Do you know why I hate college so much?"

"Edy??" Rara softened in fear.

"For their best prints are fools like you!" Edy pointed at Rara with her tram. "Destroys that never feel destructive. A killer who never kills. Fools who feel smart because diplomas write it that way."

He moved to reach the trees that Rara cut. He threw all the laundry there into the body of Rara who was still standing glued in fear. Edy cleaned up the soap scum that he could still remove from the water. With a mouth that kept talking and raining down on Rara's feelings, Edy realized all the mess that Rara made.

Edy was really angry. He was allowed to stay in Surya Kencana for days by Pak Agus and his friends, because Edy was considered able to maintain the conservation of the Environment with his insight and idealism. Edy considers Rara's actions have really damaged his good relationship with nature Gede Pangrango.

Rara, frightened and sad, walks towards the tent to escape Edy's anger. He knows his mistake. Only, he didn't know what to do. In the tent, he just slept and cried. That day, Edy really didn't care about Rara. By late afternoon, there was no word between the two of them.

Nightfall

Edy made Rara food. He opened a little tent door, included a plate of food made by Edy, fruits, and a cup of coffee for Rara. After that, Edy returned to his place which is to the front bivouac of the tent.

There is no moon floating in the middle of the spring. In the sky, in the shoots, even in the thickets, there were no stars twinkling. Gede Pangrango was grim that night. The sky is dark black. A strong wind blew away anything that was not firmly holding on. Dark Kencana Surya. The drizzle that fell poetically has now changed into a vengeful rain.

A rainstorm fell on Surya Kencana that night.

Edy hurried to get the tramontina. From inside the tent, a flash of lightning from the sky showed Rara the rain shadow of Edy making a trench around the tent, a technique of making an artificial flow path so that rainwater does not inundate the tent area.

"Edy, get in the tent!" Rara pulled her head out of the tent door. Her hair was dewy instantly by the sweep of rain.

"You're in Rara! Rainstorms. Sleep yes" replied Edy who was soaking wet in the rain.

Ditch completed. Edy opened the tent. Rara is happy that Edy will finally enter the tent with her.

"Please Rara, get me the same flysheet peg under the carrier corner there. In the orange pack it was Lifewalker" Edy said. Apparently there was something he had not finished doing outside the tent. Edy coats Rara's tent with Flysheet. Actually the tent is already double-layer, only Edy felt the rain storm is quite big. He really wanted to make sure the tent where Rara was in it, was safe from the rainstorm that night.

An hour passed. Edy didn't even get into the tent. After the rain subsides, Rara comes out to confirm Edy's whereabouts. Rara finds Edy asleep on the side of a boulder with a bivouac which she moves and changes its shape to be more tightly closed.

Waking up alone outside the tent made Rara feel uncomfortable. Rara leaves Edy asleep in her liver. And Rara went back to the tent.
