Accustoming Yourself

Rihanna and Malik went downstairs with their hands together. They immediately headed for the dining room to catch up with his parents who were already waiting there. 

When they reached the dining room, the two parents stared at the child and his daughter-in-law with a smile on their lips. Their gaze led to Malik's hand grasping the friendly hand of Rihanna. 

"Mommy why are you staring at us like that? Is something wrong?" malik asked his mother. 

Riani hurriedly threw away a glance. The woman pretended to take food for her husband, but the plate was almost full of food. 

"Mam, already! Papi's stomach isn't that wide to eat such a large portion of food." Ibrahim rebuked the wife who coolly scooped rice onto her plate. 

"Ah, sorry, Pi. Mami just does not want if papi to starve," apparently with forced laughter. 

Understandably Riani behaved like that because she had caught what was done by the child and his daughter-in-law in the room earlier. Riani did not want to discuss what she had seen. 

"Let's eat, honey," asked Malik who was immediately nodded by Rihanna. 

Malik pulls out a chair for his wife to sit down. However, Rihanna shook her head as the man told her to sit down first. 

"Why?" tanyanya. 

"I'll get you some rice first, so now you're sitting down. I can be alone later," he said, taking an empty plate in front of him. 

Malik smiled, as did Ibrahim and Riani. They are also happy for the development of the marriage relationship of the child and his daughter-in-law. 

Rihanna scoops the rice and shows it to Malik to ask him if the rice he brought was enough. The woman stopped her activities when she saw that her husband was already nodding. 

"What side dish do you want, Malik?" tanyanya while looking gently at the husband. 

"Schicken and fried chicken only," he replied no less gently. 

Rihanna nodded in understanding and immediately picked up the food called by her husband. When she was done, the pregnant woman gave the filled plate to her husband. 

"Thank you, Kay," said Malik, receiving a plate filled with fillings. 

"Sama-sama," he answered briefly. 

Rihanna took the plate back and filled it with rice and side dishes. However, the portion is smaller than usual. It certainly made the two people who were there stare at the confused pregnant woman. While Malik himself only sighed heavily because he already knew the reason his wife reduced the portion of food.  

"You eat a little like it's full, Rihanna?" ask Riani astonished. 

"Kayla's afraid of fat, Mam." 

Malik's words just made Riani surprised. The middle-aged woman shook her head at the son-in-law's unique behavior. 

"Pregnant people have to get fatter, Rihanna. If you're thin, how will your baby grow?" 

"She was afraid that I might glance at another woman, Mam," said Malik, who immediately made Rihanna glare. 

"Is that right, Rihanna?" ask Riani to make sure. 

The kind-hearted in-law looked gently at the son-in-law who was probably changing mood. It is used to happen to pregnant women. Although she herself only felt one pregnancy, but Riani is very familiar with the condition of pregnant women who often change their mood suddenly. 

Rihanna nodded shyly to confess her feelings before the in-laws. Although what Malik said was the truth, he was still embarrassed if his feelings were known to anyone other than the husband. 

"You take it easy, honey. If that happens, your own mother will cut your husband's heirloom to the ground." 

"Mommy!" peekik Malik did not accept. 

Although he did not have the intention to look at other women, but the mother's words sounded so terrible in his ears. Malik is not afraid, it is only unimaginable if in this world there is such an event. 

Malik snorted in annoyance. Not wanting to be further cornered the man decided to eat his morning breakfast. While Rihanna herself giggled amusedly when she saw the shocked reaction of her husband earlier. 

After a while they finished eating their breakfast. Malik who was in a hurry immediately got up after sipping water to the toilet. 

"Malik!" rihanna immediately stopped her husband's steps. 

"Why, Kay?" malik asked confused. 

"Awhile" she said, who then stood up and followed her husband. 

Rihanna's hand reached out to the black cloth in the collar of her husband's shirt. She tidied up the cloth called tie quickly then patted her husband on both shoulders. 

"Well, it's neat." 

Malik published a sumringah smile after getting this kind of little attention from his wife. The woman who had always been indifferent and impressed to keep a distance from him was now starting to be very attentive to him. 

Not only was Malik happy, but the two middle-aged people who were sitting in the dining room chair also felt the happiness of the son. 

"Thank you, dear," said Malik who turned his body back to leave the place immediately. 

"Malik!" 

"What's up, Kay?" tanyanya. 

He was in a hurry and his wife was reluctant to allow him to leave. There was something he had done to keep her in that place. 

"You haven't shaken me yet" protested Rihanna with pursed lips. 

The pregnant woman had time to find out about the household that was always said by her in-laws namely sakinah, mawadah, and warahmah. What activities are done by those who try to run such households. 

"Geez, I'm sorry, I forgot." Malik reached out his right hand which Rihanna immediately received. 

The woman kissed the back of her husband's hand. Malik lets his wife do what she wants to do. Although actually he was in a hurry, but for him the feeling of the wife is more important. 

"You didn't forget, Malik. But it is we who are not used to it" Rihanna said after releasing her husband's hand. 

"Yes, we're just not used to it yet" he replied with a faint smile. 

"Don't you kiss me on the forehead?" suddenly tanyanya. 

Riani and Ibrahim were even surprised by the words of his daughter-in-law just now. The woman suddenly offered to be kissed by the man she had been avoiding. 

"Do you mind?" malik asked hesitantly. 

"Already, Malik. Just kiss your wife's forehead! What hassle?" 

Malik looked at his wife and parents. Even though his heart is flowery because the wife has begun to open his heart, but Malik is still embarrassed if he has to do the activity in front of people. 

The husband did not immediately kiss her forehead, Rihanna took the initiative to bring her face closer to the husband's face. The pregnant woman wasted no time sticking her forehead on her husband's thick lips. 

Malik was stunned when he saw the courage of his wife doing the activity in front of their parents. Meanwhile, Riani and Ibrahim were repulsed by each other and immediately pretended to take their eyes off. 

"From now on, you should always Salim and kiss me on the forehead whenever I want to go!"
