Chapter 26: Uncovered

Time passed so quickly, 2 weeks had passed Sonia and Kabir were busy with their respective affairs. Sonia has drowned with her work and today the exact event will take place. It is also his last day working at a supermarket and preparing to start a career at a new company. 

The woman is determined to start her new life and get better, Zaki's distance makes her calmer. But Ameer's presence keeps her lonely soul distracted, like this morning when Ameer returns to pick her up. 

Even though the three of them, but still Sonia felt awkward. Whether until when the car was repaired, several times he asked the same thing to Ameer but the answer was still the same.

Soon after Sonia arrived at the supermarket, Ameer smiled and waved her hand. They also split up, some workers who take care of the decorations milling here and there for the grand opening event. 

“Syam, Lo is ready for our event here?” Ameer asked as their car moved away from the supermarket. 

“That's all done, we go to the office first right? Ask Sham. 

“Iya, I want to give a surprise to Sonia. Syam lo set also ntar when he works at our place, do not let him meet me.” Order Ameer. I don't know what is planned by a man who is still loyal to be single in that rustic age. 

“Eet already, since when do you play cat-kissingan with girls? usually also ordinary,” said Syam fierce. 

“Heem don't know bro, maybe since I feel comfortable with him.” Sahut Ameer relax. Syam just glanced at her lips. Ameer was again preoccupied with the tab in his hand, the lecture material he would give today he had prepared.

Sonia is already struggling with her work, the last day and the big event is enough to make her drain all her energy. Either several times he had to move back and forth from the room to the event venue, while the team that helped him was no less busy. 

Several times the phone ringing from Zaki he ignored, not avoiding but at this time Sonia was not wanting to share her thoughts. It seemed that what the woman wanted was incompatible with reality. “why didn't you pick up my phone Sonia?” Baritone Zaki's voice made Sonia turn her gaze towards the source of the voice. 

“Zaki sorry, I didn't pay attention to my phone, the event will start in about 2 hours, and I really have to clear things up.” Sahut Sonia with a flat face. 

Zaki approached with a sharp look, the man's jaw tightened and his burly hand grabbed Sonia's slender arm. 

“Who allowed you out of my company?!” Ask Zaki sharply. The man had no power to hold back his anger. Last night he arrived home and got word from Zoya that Sonia was going to leave their company on the grounds of wanting to find another experience elsewhere. Zoya's best friend cannot resist a friend's progress, but Zaki feels angry at hearing what she hears. 

“You can't just leave me Sonia, I won't let that happen. Our relationship is already far away, and you cannot decide unilaterally!” Zaki said with a tone that started to rise by an octave. 

“All can be stopped if we want Zaki, and I want that. Go back to Zoya, she's a good woman. Don't make me a bad woman in someone else's eyes, if you love me, then let me go. Many people say, love needs sacrifice and end our story, it includes the greatest sacrifice in love.”

Their debate continued without them noticing a woman with wet eyes now standing at the door that was not closed by Zaki. 

“Zoya .. Dear, sorry this is not what you see. I can explain,” Zaki stuttered. The man only regained his senses as he threw away his face and his eyes caught a figure he was very familiar with. 

Zaki released his hand at Sonia, the man stepped quickly near the door. While Sonia could only be bowed, everything was destroyed now. The friendship that has just begun is now broken apart, the selfish Zaki has been so evil that the two women are now like enemies who want to kill each other. 

Zoya stepped forward without the slightest hint of her eyes staring at Zaki. Zaki clasped his hand but Zoya quickly brushed aside. His gaze was straight towards Sonia who could now only stand staring without knowing what to do.

A slap successfully landed on Sonia's smooth cheek, the woman did not reply to him or simply raised her face to stare at Zoya. He is ready to accept whatever Zoya will do, like this if storing the carcass, it will be smelled also in the end. 

“You've managed to make my heart bleedless Sonia's wounds, I just thought of you as a friend. But all this turned out to be very painful for me, since when did your forbidden relationship start?” Sonia asked with great emphasis and demands.

“Zoya, don't blame Sonia. It's all my fault, let's go home. I'll explain everything to you,” invite Zaki to try to make his wife not pressure Sonia. 

“I will listen to your explanation later Zaki, but I want to hear an explanation from this woman right now.” Zoya flat sahut. Seeing this Zaki is getting restless, he knows very well how when his wife is angry for family matters. At this time Zaki really cursed his stupidity, if only he had listened to Sonia's request then the woman who had just lost her son would not have been blamed by his wife. 

“Mother Zoya, I'm sorry. I was wrong,” Said Sonia resignedly, her hoarse voice held all the flavors that squeezed her chest. The last day of work instead of leaving a good impression, Sonia instead gave a wound in the heart of her new best friend. 

“Don't give me your fake tears Sonia! I'm sick of seeing you here, now go as far as possible and never once have you met me. I no longer think you exist or ever existed, GO!”
