Papa's Choice Husband

Papa's Choice Husband
SPP - 50

Asya was carrying Aqilla, because her little niece kept complaining of stomach pain. He had already smeared the wind on Aqilla's stomach, but the little girl was still complaining of pain.

"Imo, sick" whined Aqilla as she hugged Asya.

"Mas Farel, why should my wife take care of him? He should also pay attention to me" cried El annoyed.

Asya pinched her husband's arm, as El's screams shocked Aqilla. He quickly walked away from El while continuing to pat his nephew to sleep.

El was still grumbling in the living room, he kept calling out his brother's name. Until the brother came down with his wife.

"What's El?" Ask Farel.

"Look, your daughter took my wife's attention" El replied annoyedly. He was really like a child, with his own nephew El feeling jealous. It was as if Aqilla was about to take Asya from her.

Farel asks Adelia to take over their daughter from Asya's hands. But Adelia got angry and went back to her room. Farel looked at Aqilla who was asleep in Asya's arms, he looked so slumbering.

Actually Farel could not bear if he had to wake his little daughter, but he also did not want to get into trouble with El.

"Let it go" said El when Farel was about to go to Asya.

For a moment El thought, maybe it was better than Asya continuing to ask El for a child. At least El didn't need to hear a ridiculous request from his wife's mouth.

"Sorry El, I don't mean to interrupt your time, but my daughter really likes Asya" Farel said.

El just cleared his throat, he didn't care about it. Being in one room with just his feet, will only make his emotions go back up. El went to his room to return to work.

Time passed quickly, they were all preoccupied with their respective affairs. Their goal is to spend time together at the end of the year. But the men in the house could not escape their work. Even the daughters-in-law were busy playing with their cell phones.

Asya, he became the busiest son-in-law because he did not stop doing this and that. Take care of his nephew, make them eat and also clean the house. He also went out with Grandma El, buying food to eat while enjoying the turn of the year

Asya went back around the village, he and Grandma El approached the workers who were still working on the big holiday.

"This is how the difference between village and city people" said Granny El.

Just as Asya and Grandma El chatted for a moment, El had already shouted from a distance. He ran to his wife.

"Asya, it seems like my grandson is obsessed with you" Grandma El said again.

Asya looked at El who was running closer to her. There was anger in her husband's eyes. He did not understand what El was really worried about. His wife was near the El family. Asya wants to be close to her husband's family, but El seems to be a wall between them.

Without any words, El immediately pulled his wife violently. Taking Asya home, El looked very upset.

"Mother, Mother" cried El when he got home.

Laura and the others came out to El who was making a scene.

"Mother, tell your daughter-in-law to shut up and do nothing"

"What did Asya do, son?" Adhitama Sela.

El went back to nagging incessantly, he was tired of warning his wife. He wanted to make Asya like a Queen, away from household activities. El just wants his wife to spend time having fun and shopping like her other sisters.

"Grandmother, but Papa said, a wife's job is to take care of the house, right?" Whisper Asya to Grandma El.

You still don't realize El? If now you've fallen in love with your wife, Inner Grandma El.

Whatever Asya does, El must know everything. But when the girl does a tiring job according to El, she will be angry. Because El just wants his wife to live happily like a queen. He has a lot of money, he can rule anyone.

"That's the job of a dear wife" said Laura trying to make her son understand.

"Why did Mother give me a wife like her? Before marriage I've learned, if women just want to be pampered without wanting to work this and that. But Mother gave me the opposite" said El.

El saw all his parents, they always argue with their husbands just because they do not want to do homework and other tasks. The women thought that they were not the servants who had to do this.

Then El began to change his mindset, when he married later, abstaining for him to make the wife work. Because he does not want his household full of anger because of trivial things.

But what happened was that he married Asha. Women who have been taught hard by Dirga to be the perfect wife. Anything you can do without complaining. This was not what El had imagined all along.

Maybe his wife is not El's dream woman, but at least he hopes that Asya will have traits like his parlors who like poya-foya. He worked day and night for his wife. He wanted his wife to see herself as the husband the women wanted.

"Stop being silly El, you're just surprised that your wife is far from what you imagined. He's better than your ridiculous expectations" Adhitama joked. He leaves the crowd, followed by Laura and the rest of the family.

Now back to El, Asya and also Grandma El there. Grandma went back to her granddaughter, patted El on the shoulder and whispered, "So you love her now?"

"No way, that's bullshit" El replied. He turned his face to look at Asya who was looking at him. He still could not believe that the heart of El had chosen Asya as the final stop.

All this time El thought, his attitude was like this because he did not want Asya to leave. Because the girl was a bearer of good luck to him. El must keep that luck.

"Silly kid, Grandma wants you to wake up. There's a sparkling diamond that you've got near you"

"Grandmother tried to separate me and Asya"

"Because you're stupid El. Grandma can guarantee there's a lot of men waiting for you to part with her out there"

Jleb, tub in the sharpest knife. El's heart ached, and what his grandmother said was true. El knew full well, every jerk was staring at his wife as they walked along. It felt like El hit every guy who tried to steal a look at his wife.

Grandma El pinched her grandson's arm, and returned to look at El. Giving her a warning to stop playing with other women because it would only hurt Asya. Grandma knows everything, she has a lot of informants. Even when El got married, he and Grandpa El were present. Only, Laura and Adhitama hide their presence from El.

"El, maybe now he's listening to you, accepting all about you. But women's hearts also have limits to patience. If you can't change, be prepared to lose her"
