After graduating from school Mita only spent time at home taking care of her husband and children. There was not a single stroke in his mind to continue college. He loved being at home with his son.
Hisham wants Mita to finish school. He wanted Mita to be well educated so that he could educate Azam well. Hisham also wants Mita to be a strong woman who is independent so that someday Hisham can release Mita.
Hisham did not want Mita to feel burdened by her marriage. Mita is so young she would still want to live free like a teenager her age. Meet a lot of people and have a lot of friends. When she became Hisham's wife she restricted herself from being friends with children her age including meeting men her age.
Hisham marries Mita out of pity for Mita and wants to cover up Mita's disgrace. Others only know that the baby in Mita's womb is Hisham's son. Now that Azam was born, it was time for Hisham to release Mita. Before Hisham releases Mita, he must ensure that Mita can live independently.
Hisham went up to the bed and sat down next to Mita. Mita is watching television.
“Mits. You list college, yes!” Hisham.
Mita turned to Hisham.
“No, ah. If Mita lectures Azam with whom?” ask Mita.
“There is Bi Ijah and Bi Narti who takes care of Azam,” replied Hisham.
“Nevent gone, Bang. Mita males college,” says Mita.
“No, that can be! You are young, your path is long. Brother wants you to be able to live independently,” said Hisham.
“And there is a brother who supports Mita,” replied Mita.
Hisham breathed.
“You don't live forever depending on Brother. It could be anytime my brother died. Or maybe we will get divorced,” said Hisham.
“Abang want us to divorce?” ask Mita.
Hisham was silent for a moment.
“Someday you'll divorce me. But before that Brother must make sure you can live independently,” replied Hisham.
“What's wrong with Mita so that Brother will divorce Mita? Does your brother have a lover?” mita asked while crying.
“Not so mean Brother. You are young, you want to live happily with people who love you and love Azam,” replied Hisham.
“Didn't you love Mita and love Azam?” ask Mita.
Hisham was silent and did not answer. Mita wiped her tears.
“Alright, Bang. Brother need not answer. Mita understood, Mita is a dirty woman who does not deserve your love. Azam is just an illegitimate child who should not be loved. Thank you for helping us,” said Mita. Mita got off the spot and walked towards Azam's bed box and held Azam in her arms.
“Mita, what do you want?” ask Hisham.
Mita was silent and did not answer. He was going to take Azam out of the room. He opened the room door. Before exiting the room Mita said, “Besok Mita will list the lecture. Brother don't have to worry. Mita will diligently learn so that Mita can get out of here as soon as possible.”
Mita walked out of Hisham's room to the room next to Hisham's. From that night Mita no longer slept in Hisham's room.
The next day after the dawn prayer Hisham came out of the room. In the living room seems quiet there is no sound. All that was heard was the sound of busyness in the kitchen. Hisham approached Mbok Narti who was washing dishes.
“Mbok-s. Later if Mita looking for me, say I am jogging again,” said Hisyam.
“Good, Mr. Doctor,” replied Mbok Narti. Hisham walked to the garage. He exited the house through the garage.
Six o'clock at fifteen minutes Hisyam went home jogging. When entering the house, the middle room still looks quiet. All that was heard was the sound of cooking utensils from the kitchen. Mbok Narti and Bi Ijah were cooking in the kitchen.
Hisham turned his head next to his room, it seemed that Mita had not yet come out of the room. Suddenly Azam's voice cried like Azam just woke up. Soon the sound of Azam's crying stopped. Hisham came closer to the room and knocked on the door.
“Mita. Open the door Mit,” said Hisham. No response from Mita. Again Hisham knocked on the door and Mita did not answer at all.
Hisham breathed. Mita was angry that she wanted to divorce. Hisham walked to his room. He should get ready for the hospital.
