Painting Images With Light
Part 8's

It seemed, in accordance with their conversation last night, that Karenina was going to the city that day, so that Karenina did not show her nose stem at all.

Among the young men, the students who split up into several groups and scattered in the rice fields, only Yanto was seen by Bagio.

"Someone asked me to harvest his sheep tomorrow. Do you want to come?"

Work to grow rice, just finished done by Bagio, Kartono, and some other daily wage workers.

While washing his hands and feet with Kartono in the irrigation water stream, Bagio did not immediately answer the question posed by Kartono just now.

Bagio has not told about his plans, which will shoot tomorrow with Karenina, to Kartono.

"You're not coming?" Maybe because he felt that Bagio seemed to not respond, the question was, Kartono then repeated his invitation again.

"I'm not coming" replied Bagio.

"Eh ...? Why?" Kartono looks astonished. "Do you have any other work?"

"Karenina asked me to be her model tomorrow" replied Bagio.

"Arenna ...? The girl who took pictures of you yesterday?" asked Kartono, with his eyebrows linked.

Bagio nodded. "Yes." Yeah."

Kartono mangosteen understand. "Ooh ...! Your ass shaved your beard ... He—Karenina—also told you?"

Bagio fumbled his jaw. "No. It's just a coincidence."

"Overnight, I drove Yanto to cut his hair. Then, Yanto offered that I also cut my hair, all shaving," continued Bagio.

When fumbling around his jaw and above his lips, it now felt a little thorny again. Thus, Bagio would have to shave his facial hair again then.

"Who's Yanto?" ask Kartono confused.

"same Karenina. They both came to my house last night....

...Talk about photoshoots, as well as how they work, which may take up to two days....

... Karenina will pay me as her model, but she hasn't mentioned how many. Later, we might go take pictures at the waterfall."

Because it already knows well, how the Kartono type who would want to know everything, Bagio then explained everything in one talk.

That way, Kartono does not need to ask again and again to Bagio.

Kartono nodded his head, then suddenly looked like he was being jolted. "The bus asked to get Tutut (rice keong)!"

Bagio who had just climbed on top of the rice field, then turned to look at Kartono. "There's a bucket in my cabin. All looking for eels, yok?!"

"Okay!" Kartono then rushed out of the irrigation stream.

Since the day was still not too late, Bagio and Kartono who had taken hunting equipment for rice paddies and eels in the cottage rice fields owned by Bagio, then rushed to try his luck, by looking for his game animals, and then rushed to try his luck, the rice fields.

"If there are many, I will take them to your house, Tutut that has been cooked by mother."

Kartono berleletuk, while still bending looking for a rice snail in the mud between the sidelines of rice plants.

Apparently, in the area that became the search for Bagio, there had just caught an eel there, so that Bagio only found a few eels.

Bagio gave up looking for the eel, and eventually completely focused on helping Kartono, to gather the rice paddies.

Not much different results by looking for eels, rice paddies that are sought after when it is late afternoon like today, also do not produce maximum results.

Although up to two people are looking for it, but not half a bucket, rice snail that they can find.

Bagio and Kartono who both gave up looking for the rice plant's bully animal, then went to pick up some papaya leaves, whose plants grew near the rice field area.

By spreading the leaves of the papaya leaf on the edges of the rice fields, Bagio and Kartono can only hope, if tomorrow morning, they can get a lot of rice paddies in a simple trap they made.

So, both Bagio and Kartono, turned to the direction of the sound, and saw Yanto who walked fast, half-running, approaching where Bagio and Kartono were.

"Who is that?" ask Kartono confused.

Just as Bagio was about to answer Kartono's question, Yanto was already standing near them.

"This man, his name is Yanto" said Bagio. "Yanto! This is my friend ... His name is Kartono."

Bagio introduces Kartono to Yanto, who immediately shakes hands with each other, though the hands of the two seem equally dirty with mud.

"What are you doing?" Kartono looked curious, looking at the papaya leaf sheets lying on the edge of the rice field.

"That's a trap to catch Tutut—" Bagio stopped talking all of a sudden.

"... I mean, we put that down to be a trap, which is usually used to catch paddy snails....

... If there are a lot of rice paddies, then tomorrow morning, they will be a lot of gathered in the papaya leaves," continued Bagio explained.

Bagio then showed the rice paddies and some eels, in the bucket he was holding, to Yanto. "Because it's late afternoon, it's just a little."

"Hm ... How interesting! I never knew, if papaya leaves can be used to be a snail trap. Hehe!" sahut Yanto chuckled.

"Have you ever eaten a rice pitcher?" ask Kartono.

"No" answered Yanto. "Can I try it, when it's ripe?"

"Can.... But, not today," Kartono replied as he pointed towards the bucket. "It's too little to cook."

"Oh, yes! Did I not interrupt my brother's work?" tanya Kartono looked at Bagio.

"No. Our work is done" replied Bagio. "What's wrong?"

"Hm ... It's okay, bang. I just came, out of curiosity to see what you two are doing" Yanto replied.

"If you're both done, are you going home?" yanto continued in a hurry.

"Yes, the plan is so. Want to go home together?" bring Bagio.

Yanto nodded his head. "Yes, bang."

The three of them still took the time to clean up a little bit of the remaining mud on their feet hands, which started to dry up, in the irrigation stream.

Then, they walked together, went away from the rice fields, and intended to return to their respective residences.

"Can I go to my brother's house tonight?" ask Yanto. "Maybe Karenina has also returned from the city."

"Yes. Please," said Bagio.

"There's no need to bother preparing anything. I told Karenina to buy a snack" Yanto said.

"Bang Kartono! ... Later come to the house bang Bagio too, huh?!" yanto.

"Okay!" kartono Suhut.

Is it just because Bagio never had the acquaintance of the city people, but it feels rather surprising, when he saw Yanto who seems not uncomfortable, to mingle with villagers like Bagio.

Yanto could even chat, and joked with Kartono, as they were on their way home.

"I go first!" bagio said, turning to his house.

"Okay!" Yanto and Kartono said simultaneously.

There was still a little bit of sunlight left, when Bagio began to clean up in his house as usual, but before his homework was finished he did, the sun had completely sunk in the Western horizon.

Bagio hurriedly finished all his homework, and went to clean up, before Karenina and Yanto came.
