One Night Being a Young Dad

CHAPTER 7

Along the way, Nadlyn was silent. Only Ayla and Nanda take Nadlyn, while Disya has to leave for college because there is a lecture.

Regan had Nadlyn's pregnancy and was witnessed by Pras.

"Your baby is very healthy." Regan said with a smile.

Nadlyn smiled in response.

"Do you feel nausea? Your blood pressure's low." Pras asked while looking at Nadlyn's medical records.

"So morning Nadlyn threw up, Dad. And a lot of cold sweat." It was not Nadlyn who answered but Nanda.

"Please Nad, this is normal in the first trimester. Daddy's gonna give you nausea and vitamins so you don't get anemic." Pras said to his son-in-law.

Nadlyn just kept quiet and smiled faintly.

After doing a series of checks, Nadlyn finally returned home with Nanda and Ayla.

"Is there anything you want to eat, Nad?" Ask Nanda.

"Yes tell us if you want anything. Pregnant people should not hold on to the food they want." Sahut Ayla's.

"No Mom, Aunty. Thanks." Answer Nadlyn.

"Do you want to go to your Papa's? You miss your Papa?" Ask Nanda understandingly.

"I miss Papa, but I don't want to go to Papa's house." Answer with sadness.

Nanda and Ayla just glanced at each other.

After ten minutes, they arrived back at Nanda's house. The distance from the hospital to Nanda's house is very close. Nadlyn immediately returned to Cean's room despite her feet reluctantly stepping into the room that had once been her favorite place.

Cean turned to the door when the door opened, seeing Nadlyn who stepped into the room while carrying a white plastic bribe hospital owned by Daddy Pras family.

Nadlyn put the plastic on the nightstand and immediately went to the bathroom, suddenly his stomach was nauseous when he smelled the stench of the perfume that Cean wore.

Hoekk, yoke..

Nadlyn spewed out the food she had eaten in the hospital cafeteria.

Cean who heard it still chose indifferently, he took his headset and placed it in both ears.

Nadlyn washed her mouth and cleaned herself, then came out in full clothes, his feeling was painful when he saw Cean who was still sitting and even stuffed his ears with a headset while playing the phone with the same position since then when Nadlyn had just arrived.

"Cean I want to talk." Said Nadlyn who stood percis beside Cean.

Cean did not touch him even though he faintly heard Nadlyn's voice. Cean is just not ready if Nadlyn discusses the condition of the womb because Nadlyn has just returned from the hospital to check the content.

An upset Nadlyn pulled the headset in Cean's ear to make Cean emotional. "What the hell are you, Nad?" Snapped Cean who was now standing from his seat.

For the first time Cean snapped at Nadlyn, even when they were still friends, never once did Nadlyn hear a loud voice from Cean.

"What about?" Ask Cean in a cold tone.

"I'll talk to Daddy Pras, so you can continue your studies in London." Nadlyn said at the end.

Nadlyn chose to give up, Nadlyn chose to take off Cean rather than having to continue to feel the pain of seeing Cean's cold attitude to him.

Cean was silent, he tried to digest all Nadlyn said to him.

"I will not make this child your barrier to pursuing your dreams. You can continue your studies in London." Now Nadlyn dared to return Cean's gaze.

"Daddy won't let it." Reply Cean.

"I'll talk to Daddy Pras."

They looked at each other until Nadlyn cut off her eye contact. Now Nadlyn stood in a position to turn his back on Cean. "I'll talk to Daddy Pras tonight."

"Then what about you? What's the plan for yourself?" Ask Cean.

"I will still bear this child, she has the right to be born into the world and I will bring her to be born into the world."

"What about your education?" Ask Cean to know. Cean knows very well if Nadlyn has a hobby of drawing and aspires to be an interior design.

"My priority is no longer about my dreams." Nadlyn's voice was choked, but Nadlyn continued. "My goal right now is the child I'm carrying."

For some reason, Nadlyn's answer made Cean's heart pinched. Cean could feel that Nadlyn was holding back her emotions, perhaps even holding back her tears.

"And about this kid." Nadlyn continued speaking. "This child will be my son, only my son." Now Nadlyn turned back to look at Cean. "Finish your study to S2 in London, and when you come home in six or seven years, and immediately register our divorce in court, I won't burden you with my son, I'm not gonna interfere with your future and your world with this kid, we're gonna walk each other's paths without ever connecting again." Eventually one tear escaped Nadlyn's eye and Nadlyn quickly wiped it.

Nadlyn returned to the bathroom, sitting in an empty bathtub hugging her knees and drowning her face between her knees, Nadlyn cried as if she was letting out a sense of tightness in her heart.

Cean also heard the sound of crying from inside his room even though it was not too tight because the bathroom door was closed and blocked by a walk in closet. Cean's body slumped and knelt on the floor, he bowed his face crying, "I'm sorry, Nadlyn. I'm sorry."

They are equally drowning in their own regrets. Both Cean and Nadlyn must continue to accept his fate, only Nadlyn does not want to continue to be in regret, he will make amends by giving birth and raising his future son.

At night, Nadlyn expresses her decision with Cean to Pras and Nanda, but of course Nadlyn did not tell about the divorce plan that will be done when Cean returns after six to seven years Cean completed his study until S2 later.

Nadlyn only said that if everything he said was for the sake of their future together and they will re-assemble at an age that is mature enough to know their responsibilities and their respective obligations.

In order to be approved by Pras and Nanda, Nadlyn also said that he would continue his study after their child was born, this ghost is indeed one of Pras and Nanda's wishes, as well as his son's children, but to separate Cean and Nadlyn for a while, makes Pras doubtful and really Pras does not want this to happen.

But in the end, Nadlyn managed to convince Pras, Cean will continue his study in London and will leave next week. And for Nadlyn, Pras asked Nadlyn to stay at home with Pras and Nanda. Nadlyn was forced to agree even though he had planned to return to Robi's father's house if Cean had gone abroad.
