Make a promise

Bobby leaves early in the morning for work. Filming today is planned in the Bogor area. Not want to be stuck in traffic, Om Bobby forced to leave in the morning.

Ariel is also preparing to invite Galang to meet with Wawan, his birth father. The last time Galang met with Wawan was at the Mall at that time. Now, Ariel kept her promise to bring Galang and Wawan together.

Wawan let Galang play alone. He sat across from Ariel who did not touch the food and drink he served. "Well, why not eat it?" ask Wawan.

"I'm still full, Mas" Ariel replied as she kept her eyes on Galang.

"No, it's normal" replied Ariel.

"You ... What work is there? Back to how it used to be?" ask Wawan carefully. He did not want Ariel angry and did not give him permission to meet Galang again.

"No. I'm guarding Om Bobby's house and preparing his needs."

Wawan looked at Ariel who did not look at him as he spoke. Ariel kept watching Galang as if afraid of the boy running away. Ariel now looks thinner but even prettier. The clothes he wore made Ariel look elegant even though it was only a blouse and jeans. Looks expensive. Ariel's face is also brighter, different when she became Wawan's wife first.

"How do you feel about that Om? Still not reciprocated?" ask Wawan.

"I didn't come to see you to discuss my personal life and feelings, Mas. I have come to keep my promise, to let you meet Galang" Ariel replied firmly.

"I was just curious. I know you. When you love someone, you're going to be stupid. When you used to love your best friend's girlfriend, you even got an abortion. Then when you love me, you .. still survive having a bad husband like me. What's with that guy you still love him stupidly?" ask Wawan.

Ariel did not like Wawan's question. He looked back at Wawan and answered his question tightly. "It's none of your business, Mom!"

"I ... just envious." Wawan breathed deeply. "I'm jealous to see you love another man and it's not me. If only I could turn back the clock, I'd stop gambling and get drunk and pay for all my mistakes to you and Galang."

Ariel laughed a little. Mocking laughter. Already hundreds of times Ariel reminded Wawan, still for the man gambling and alcohol is more important than family.

"Maybe you won't believe my words. I see, who would believe the words of a drunkard and a gambler like me? After I lost everything, I only realized that all this time I was looking for was not treasure, happiness when drinking or maybe inner satisfaction when winning gambling. I lost everything and I'm so sorry. I want to go back with you and Galang. Unfortunately, you closed the door for me to be able to knock your heart back. I hope someday the door of your heart will open and you will allow me to heal all the wounds I have ever done." Wawan looked at Ariel expectantly.

"I've stopped drinking. I never gamble again either. I worked hard until I finally got a promotion. I've fixed my life, Riel. Tell me, what else do I have to do to show you that I'm sorry?" Wawan grabbed Ariel's hand and grasped it, Ariel immediately pulled her hand and released Wawan's hand.

Ariel was indifferent and unaffected by Wawan's remarks. "I told you before, my coming here is to fulfill my promise to bring you together with Galang, not to listen to how you feel and your regrets that have no use in my life. Now, even if you've changed, everything will remain the same. I'm gone and I'll never come back."

"We can still refer to it, Riel. We can still build a whole and loving family. Galang will still have me and you as his parents. I will give anything to make you happy," persuaded Wawan.

"I told you it was too late, Mom. Why should I go back with you? Everything is impossible. I have a husband now." Ariel shows a ring around her ring finger. "I'm the wife of Om Bobby, that's my job now. Being the wife who takes care of the house and her husband."
