Chapter 22 The Unexpected Meeting

The morning came with a little cloudy weather. Mama Lisa who had a hard time sleeping last night had a shower and was preparing to return to the hospital when the time was still showing at 05.30 am. Mama Lisa tries to find busy in the kitchen by making breakfast for the three of them. Lisa's mom plans to take Bianca to breakfast with Bernard at the hospital. Bianca jumped in shock when she heard the alarm on her phone ringing. He set a routine alarm every morning from Monday to Friday to help him get up and get ready for school.

She did not want Lisa's mom to see her eyes swollen from crying out the feelings she held in the hospital.

“Ma,” Bianca greeted mama Lisa who was busy arranging food in a plastic container.

“Have a shower ?” Mama Lisa looked at Bianca for a moment then continued her activities.

Bianca turned her head and nodded slowly then led Lisa's mother to sit on one of the long rows of benches available in front of the room.

“Hungry Bi ? Last night you ate a little.” Mama was about to remove the boxes from the cloth bag but was prevented by Bianca.

“Let's wait Ben, ma.” Bianca replied with a smile looking at Lisa's mother's tired face and puffy eyes. Ben was the family's favorite call to Bernard.

“Mama rest first. Can sleep here ma, let Bianca's thigh be a cushion mama.” Bianca shifted her three chairs and patted her thigh to make her mother sleep.

“No need Bi, mom can sleep while sitting.” Mama Lisa tightened her wool coat and began to change her sitting position by leaning her head against the wall. Bianca just smiled and took a seat closer to Lisa's mom. The position is one seat where the seat between them is used to put the breakfast supplies brought.

At 07.30 hours the activities around the ICU room began to look busy. Some doctors seem to be taking turns to check the condition of patients who are being treated in the ICU room. Mama and Bianca approached the doctor who met them yesterday when they saw the doctor coming out of the ICU room.
