Chapter 21 Accident

The exam process is still ongoing and now is the time of the School Exam. The last fight of 12th grade kids at the end of their white-gray time.

Today some students who are interested in entering PTN follow SNMPTN in school, and some who have decided to enter Private College are given the opportunity to rest in rumab.

The wall clock shows at 11:45. Bianca was only alone in taking the exam because Mia had certainly continued to study in Australia while Della had been accepted into one of the private universities in Jakarta majoring in law. Bianca checked back on the problems on the laptop screen in front of her.

“Bianca.” Bu Yuli called out quietly and was already standing beside her.

“You're done ?” Bu Yuli patted Bianca's shoulder slowly.

“Already Mom,” Bianca replied as she turned to look at Bu Yuli who was now standing in front of her desk.

“Submit first your test after it log out.”

Bianca briefly knitted her brows with a confused look looking at Bu Yuli. The wall clock on the wall next to the blackboard. The exam time is still up to 12.15, but why did Bu Yuli ask her to finish her exam now. Bu Yuli only nodded her head with a smile, as if answering Bianca's confused look. Bianca immediately did what Bu Yuli asked and then cleaned up her school equipment.

“My mouth,” Bu Yuli turned around and started stepping.

“Thank you Sir,” Bu Yuli nodded her head to Mr. Arman who served as supervisor.

Bianca followed Bu Yuli and nodded her head to Mr. Arman.

“I excuse me Sir.” Mr. Arman only replied with a nod as well while smiling faintly.

“Bu, what's wrong ?” Bianca bertsnya while following in Bu Yuli's footsteps.

“Pak Principal asks you to go somewhere, I will accompany you with the school car.”

Bianca frowned while wondering in her heart. There was a slight sense of uneasiness enveloping his heart. But without asking much questions, Bianca followed Bu Yuli to the parking lot and entered the operational car of the school that was ready with Mr. Min as her driver. It turns out that there is already Mr. Edi waiting to sit in the chair next to Mr. Min.

Throughout the trip no one spoke, only once-calo Mr. Edi gave directions to be taken by Mr. Min.

30 Minutes later, the car entered the hospital.

Bianca's feelings immediately grew restless and uneasy. Mr. Min stopped his car in front of the lobby.

“Bu, we want to see who ?” Bianca held back Bu Yuli's lemgan before the teacher got off after opening the car door.

Mr. Edi has gone down first.

“Come down first Bianca.” Bu Yuli smiled faintly and patted the back of Bianca's hand that was holding her arm.

Bianca complied in silence with a feeling of growing uneasiness. He shifted his seat and came down from the door at Bu Yuli's side. The three of them entered the hospital and followed in the footsteps of Mr. Edi who walked in front towards the IGD.

Bianca immediately limped when she saw Lisa and Bernard's mama sitting in the waiting room chair in front of the IGD room. Bernard still wears his school uniform too. His hand was holding onto the shoulder of Lisa's mother who was still crying.

Bianca quickens her pace ahead of Bu Yuli and passes Mr. Edi to Lisa and Bernard's mama.

“Ma,” call him slowly. Unable to hold back the tears that began to drip at the end of his eyes.

“Bi,” mom wake up and directly hug Bianca.

“Papa why ma ? Papa is fine, right?” bianca's tears are getting bigger.

“Cristic father, sis,” Bernard woke up and answered Bianca's question while patting her brother's shoulder slowly.

“Kok can ma ?” Bianca broke Lisa's mother's embrace and looked at her mother's face, who was just sobbing crying while looking down.

Mr. Edi and Ms. Yuli who had caught up with Bianca just stood quietly watching everything.

“Good afternoon miss,” a man in his 40s in typical office clothes complete with a tie is approaching them.

“My acquaintance with Hendra from the company where Pak Indra works.” The man named Hendra extended his hand to Bianca.

“I Bianca, the greatest of Hendra's sons,” Bianca welcomed the man's helping hand while her left hand wiped away the remains of tears at the end of her eyes.

Bianca frowned. As long as Bianca knows that papa Indra is in charge of the finance division, why can you get to the project site ?

“The story is long miss,” Pak Hendra trying to answer Bianca's expression full of his signature.

“The company will be fully responsible for the accident that befell Mr. Indra.” Mr. Hendra is back.

“Hopefully everything is fine,” muttered Bianca quietly as she glanced at mama Lisa who was still crying softly in Bernard's arms.

“The family of patient Mr. Indra,” a nurse who came out of the IGD room called the family of papa Indra.

“My son, Sister,” Bianca immediately approached the nurse while Bernard had already broken his embrace and Lisa's mother slowly wiped away her tears with a tissue.

“How is my papa, Sister ?”

“Pak Indra is still unconscious, deck. While it will be moved to the ICU room as it still requires further monitoring.”

“What can we meet, Sister ?”

“While not yet found, maybe later a little afternoon or on the doctor's permission. Excuse me first,”

The nurse went back to the IGD. About 10 minutes later, the gurney where Indra's father was placed was taken out to the ICU room on the 2nd floor.

Bianca immediately followed the steps of the officers who brought. Followed by Lisa's mother who walked while embraced by Bernard side with Mr. Hendra. At the very back Mr. Edi and Bu Yuli followed.

Bianca felt a tremendous sadness when she saw the condition of papa Indra which was full of attached medical devices with 2 different color infusion bags hanging on the pole. It felt like crying wailing but he realized that his weakness would make Lisa's mother worse. His position as the firstborn should be strong and firm despite crying full of anxiety in his heart.

After Indra's father entered the ICU, a doctor approached them.

“Family Pak Indra ?” Ask the doctor while staring at the faithful Bianca standing near the entrance of the ICU room.

“How is my papa's condition, Doc ?” Bianca stared anxiously.

Bernard who was still embracing Lisa's mother walked over to Bianca.

“The condition of the wound is quite severe, 3 parts of his neck bone are broken. So it is likely that if indeed Mr. Indra can get through his critical period, he will likely experience paralysis.”

Mama Lisa was surprised and covered her mouth with her hands and returned to shed tears making Bernard tighten his ramgkulan while rubbing the shoulders of Lisa's mother. The 10th grader was finally unable to contain his sadness as well. There were tears coming out of the corner of his eye. Bianca herself bit her lower lip after hearing the doctor's explanation. His tears came out again but he was held so as not to be too excessive so that Lisa's mother did not get worse.

Bu Yuli who saw that immediately embraced Bianca and rubbed her shoulders.

“Cry if you want to cry,” said Bu Yuli slowly. Bianca turned her head and looked at Bu Yuli and just nodded slowly with a rush of tears growing rapidly.

“We wish papa the best, Bianca.” Mr. Edi came over and patted Bianca on the shoulder.

After giving an explanation, the doctor asked to leave and let them still gather in the ICU front waiting room.

“Nona, please feel free to contact me if anything is needed.” Hendra approached Bianca and handed her a business card.

“Thank you Om,” Bianca nodded slowly.

Mr. Edi and Ms. Yuli finally forced Bianca, Lisa and Bernard's mama to have lunch first. Initially Bianca and Lisa's mother refused and wanted to stay in the waiting room.

“Bu, keep your health in order to accompany you,” said Mr. Edi.

“Iya ma, Brother Bi. If you are sick how can you take care of papa who needs us.” Bernard chimed.

Finally after a short drama and persuasion from Bernard, Bu Yuli and Mr. Edi both Bianca and Mama Lisa would also be invited to lunch with the hospital canteen.

After eating and discussing together, it was finally agreed that Bernard would go home with Lisa's mother to pick up clothes and other necessities while Bianca waited in the hospital. Later in the afternoon Bernard and Lisa's mama return and Bernard's night will stand guard alone. The youngest son and currently the only mainstay male of the family insisted on banning his mother and brother from keeping watch at night.

Finally Bernard and Lisa's mother were driven home by a school car while Bianca returned to the waiting room prepared for the ICU patient's family.
