No Tara Under The Horizon

No Tara Under The Horizon
Chapter 5's

“Bos Rank-F yes?”

The corner of my lips is slightly curved. I am Level 1, and the enemy in front of me is Level 5. The attack error rate when the level difference is below five is not very high, so killing it is not beyond my reach.

After making my decision, I immediately got ready!

Swished…

My legs staggered slightly across the grass, but the boss immediately reacted and attacked me as fast as lightning. Fortunately, I myself was not too slow, and I was able to bend my body and slash upwards at the same time. That shabby sword sliced through the stomach of the Big-eared Rabbit boss!

21!

Wow, this rabbit defense is quite high!

I immediately concluded that the Big-eared Rabbit had a total of about 2500 HP. This means I have to attack him at least 100 times before I can defeat him!

The boss screeched, turned around and swung his tail towards me. The tail is short, but it hits my back hard like a steel whip!

61!

The pain scorched my senses for a moment. The power of this attack is a bit too much, right?

I only have 110 total HP now, meaning I will die if I receive another blow. There's no way I can beat him now. I also feel regretful because the Heavenblessed rule turned out to be very different from the Spirit of Grief.

It's not worth it, I should have known better! Since I cannot defeat him, I must escape while I still can. If I were to be killed here, all the time and effort I spent hunting the Great-eared Rabbit since Level 0 would be in vain.

I looked around me and confirmed the terrain with lightning speed. I chose to run towards the road on my right because of the fewest number of Big Ear Rabbits. One boss is already tough enough, one or two other big-eared Rabbits will definitely close my death.

I ran like the wind while adjusting my steps constantly. Trees, shrubs, bushes, everything is a usable barrier. The boss had to jump around while I crossed obstacles with a minimal amount of movement. That was almost enough to cover the distance between our movement speeds.

I didn't stop scanning my surroundings as I ran. Suddenly, I found something that made my eyes sparkle with joy!

There was a thorny forest not far in front of me. The plant it consists of is called “Snake Venom Brambles”. This particular plant was mentioned in the publicly released information about Heavenblessed. The Snake Venom Bramble is a deadly plant that inflicts massive amounts of poison damage on any creature it comes in contact with. A player focused on production could collect it as an ingredient and create poison for an Assassin player. It was an item that any assassin must possess!

Of course, no one has the ability to collect it yet because the level of the player is too low, but that was not my plan. My plan was to use this poisonous tree to save my life!

Holy hooch!

I easily jumped over the thorny bush and landed in the open field. It was only a meter tall, and there was nothing I could not handle. I carefully avoided touching the poisonous thorny bushes around me and waited patiently until the boss came.

“Screaming!”

It was clear that the Boss of the Great-eared Rabbit was on the verge of going berserk, and was too tired to clear a one-meter-tall thorny bush like I did. Unfortunately for that, it was only as big as a sink, and when it was in the air, I hit it right on the head with my shabby sword!

“Down you!”

I hit the Big-eared Rabbit Boss like a ball. As I had predicted, he fell into the thorny bush and screamed painfully as the poisonous thorn bit his flesh. His HP started to drop at high speed.

Utilizing the benefits of my range to the maximum, I repeatedly stabbed the Big-eared Rabbit Boss in the butt again and again. It could do nothing to escape as it was small, and was completely trapped inside the thorny bush. The more he jumped in pain and panicked, the more holes appeared all over his body!

It took less than two minutes for the HP of the Big-eared Rabbit to reach the bottom. This is the first boss I have ever killed in Heavenblessed, and I feel my blood boiling with excitement. I shouted in my mind: “Give me something! Please drop a weapon that can be used for me, rabbit lord!”

“Wah!”

The Big-eared Rabbit Boss finally screamed and died. Two things were left in place.

Holy hooch!

The boss contributed a huge amount of experience and increased my level by 2. I threw another 5 free points into Strength and increased my attack power to 7~12. Now this is what I call damage!

However, the excitement of leveling up could not match the excitement of getting a drop in equipment at all. My eyes were wide open like chest guards with a greenish glow and a huge stone that looked like a diamond fell to the ground.

I carefully lifted the breastplate with my sword and pulled it closer. When it finally got into my hands, an equipment window appeared in front of me—

Great Earned Rabbit Shining Battle Armor (Iron Level)

Defense: 9

Durability: +2

Level Requirements: 2

  ……

I was surprised to find that the drop was an Iron grade equipment that provided a stat bonus! In Heavenblessed, the value of the equipment was divided into Common, Iron, Bronze, Steel, Dark Steel, Silver, Gold, Dark Gold, Purple Gold, Spirit, Immortal and Divine. This Iron level equipment had almost reached the lowest point in the hierarchy, but during the early stages it might as well be heavenly armor!

I immediately put on a chest protector and checked my stats—

ID: Broken Halberd Sinks to Sand

Level 3

HP: 140

Attack: 7~12

Defenses: 10

I have 10 Defenses now, meaning killing a Level 3 great-eared Rabbit is no longer a difficult task, quite the opposite. Moreover, the additional 2 Stamina points I gained from leveling also increased my total HP to 140!

For a moment, my heart was filled with pure happiness. At this stage and with this level of defense, it might not be wrong to call me as hard as a nail, right?

Wait, I almost forgot. The chest protector wasn't the only one dropped by the Big-eared Rabbit Boss!

I lay down on the ground and pulled the stone towards me with my hand. Yup, as I thought, it is the legendary magic stone—Great Magic Stone (Quality 77).

In Heavenblessed, monsters dropped magic stones instead of gold coins. All monsters with magic in them had the chance to drop magic stones, and they could be exchanged for merchants for cash. There are 5 types of magic stones, namely Small Magic Stones, Large Magic Stones, Phantasmal Magic Stones, Purple Crystals, and Heavenly Crystals. The higher the quality, the greater the price taken.

The Great Magic Stone I obtained was an item with a Quality of 77, so it was definitely worth a lot of copper!

I jumped out of the Snake Venom Brambles and continued on my way. My appearance has improved greatly thanks to the shiny Iron level chest protector around my body. At the very least, my ribs are no longer open for everyone to see. After I got a pair of foot protectors, shoes, and a helmet covering my face, I finally had to look decent enough to meet someone.

I wasn't far before the Level 3 great-eared Rabbit pounced towards me. This time, I did not avoid. Come me!

2!

I almost snorted when I saw the number jump out of my head. Ten points of Defense is impressive alright, this big-eared Rabbit can barely break through my defense despite being on the same level as me.

I killed the stupid rabbit in two blows before running back to the initial village. I then searched the Cadaver's Stack Graveyard and handed over my search item: Five Feet Thick Large-eared Rabbits!

“That's great, young skeleton. You've earned the respect I just found! ”

the undead barbarian chuckled while patting my shoulder. “Come and grab your legitimate gifts. Everything is for the return of the Night Beings, and of course, riches and whores! ”

The barbarian undead reply is a literal eye opener. What an impressive and fun NPC! By the way, is it just me, or does it sound like I am now a member of Night Creatures?

Ding~!

System Notification: You have completed the quest [Kill the Big-eared Rabbit]. You have obtained 150 EXP, 1 Reputation, and 10 copper!

I swallowed spit. Is this what I get for all my hard work? Well, at least I got 150 experiences. I should have had enough to level up to 5 after I killed a few Big-eared Rabbits again.

The Cadaver Pile Cemetery Guard continued, “It seems you have also killed the leader of the Big-eared Rabbit. Very good, the Big-eared Rabbit is no longer a threat. Now I have a more important search for you. Do you want to hear it?”

That's exactly what I expected, so I nodded repeatedly and said, “Say, tell.”

“Alright!” The guard gripped his battle axe and began. “Outside of our city is the vast and seemingly endless Forest of Sunlight. Recently, the skeleton of our brother sent word that a group of Green Praying Grasshoppers had appeared within the forest. Their physiques were enormous, and they were armed with sharp blades. You should head to the Sunshine Forest, kill 100 Green Praying Mantis and bring back 10 Green Praying Mantis Armblade! Do that, and I will reward you generously!”

Ding~!

System Notification: You have received the quest [Green Praying Mantis]! (Quest Rank: F)

Description: Go to Sunshine Forest, kill 100 Green Praying Mantis and collect 10 Green Praying Mantis Armblades for Corpse Heap Graveyard Guard.

Mn, very good, F Rank search should have given me a lot of experience.

Instead of rushing out, I chose to walk deeper into the cemetery. It was at this moment that a skeleton trader with a crooked back appeared before me. I walked up to him and took out the Great Magic Stone dropped by the Boss of the Big-eared Rabbit, while saying, “Hei bro, can you tell me how much it cost?”

The skeleton looked at me with a complicated look before complaining, “Do I look like a man to you?”

I was immediately attacked by the sea of goosebumps. How am I supposed to know he's really a bone? It's not that he has a partner I can check and confirm. “Ehem, excuse me, beautiful. Can you tell me how much it's worth? ”

The skinny prima donna finally received the Great Magic Stone and looked at it. “It's worth 1540 copper!”

I'm dumbfounded. My first search only gave me 10 coppers, but this stone gave me an amount far beyond my imagination. I'm so happy!

Next second, 1540 copper—or 15 silver and 40 copper—get into my pocket. I guess I'm pretty rich now!

I checked if the skinny prima donna had anything to sell and found that she had a potion. Unfortunately, they are very expensive. One Basic Health Potion that recovered 80 HP cost 50 copper? It's robbery!

However, I agreed and bought 20 of them. Without health potions, I cannot fight high-level monsters or get more magic stones to sell. One has to think long term when planning, right?

  ……

Now that I'm full, it's time for more adventure!

I arrived at the edge of the Heap Graveyard Corpse killing several large-eared Rabbits on the road. Again, I threw 5 points into Strength and increased my overall attack power to 10~17. For the time being, it seems like the Undead Swordsman has quite impressive Strength scaling as 5 points have increased my attack power by a range of 3~5. I had checked the introductions to all the classes in the forum before, so I knew that the class with the best Strength scaling was Warriors, with 5 points Strength increasing their attack power by 2~5. Magic Knight is 2~4, and Wanderer is 3~4. In a sense, the Life Corpse Swordsman was one of the better offensive classes.

Next, I bring up the ranking list. There are three early villages in my area, with two under the Light faction and one— which is mine—under the Dark faction. Right now, the highest leveled player in the three early villages was Level 7, meaning I was far behind those people. As I expected, there will never be a shortage of crazy levelers in any game. I need to work harder.

Under the moonlight, a creepy little skeleton holding a shabby sword lightly stomped on the hill while humming, the younger “Biksu went to ask for food, the, but the older monk said to leave the wildflowers alone, so he asked: Why not? Why waste ~? ”
