No Tara Under The Horizon

No Tara Under The Horizon
Chapter 4's

My first reaction upon seeing the undead mage was: Hm, I should attack and kill him immediately. Maybe I can take down his handsome staff!

I have no hesitation in translating my thoughts into actions. After touching a bit and finding nothing to use as a weapon, I swung my fist in an attempt to defeat that evil undead mage. Then, I realized that my arms were thin white!

“Fuck!”

I stopped and looked at the bottom of my body. The sight instantly made me shiver his flesh was completely gone, and the only thing that covered my modesty was a pinch of ragged cloth!

Oh naw. Could it!? I opened the simple pants, looked inside and immediately felt a hum in my head. My sister ... has rotted too! All I could see were the bones that made up my pelvis!

“Hai, small insect. You finally woke up! ”

The undead witch looked at me with a laugh. “Since you are awake, you must take your weapon and fight for the dominance of the Night Beings!”

Ding~!

System Notice: The village chief of the Heap Graveyard Corpse has given you a set of starting equipment: Rusted Iron Sword and Torn Shirt!

Dong ding!

After the equipment entered my bag, I opened the character screen and saw exactly what I got: a shabby sword and a tattered piece of cloth. The Rusty Iron Sword was of course the standard weapon that most people used, and had an attack power of 0~1. The Tattered Shirt on the other hand gave 1 Defense point.

I equipped both equipment and checked my status screen. I immediately felt like whining like ******. I thought that the Life Corpse Swordsman was OP class, but in reality it was just cannon fodder!

ID: Broken Halberd Sinks to Sand

Class: Undead Swordsman (Beginner)

Level: 0

HP: 100

Attack: 1~2

Defenses: 1

Resistance: 0

Luck: 0

   ……

Incredibly, my basic attack power is 1~1, and my basic defense is a big zero. If not for this ragged suit, a damned chicken might have been able to blow me to the coming kingdom!

It has been less than five minutes since the server opened, and a large number of players are pouring into the game now. This is the time at which each second is calculated. I thought about what I wanted to do for a moment and realized that running around like a headless fly and leveling up was very unwise. The corpse of the Heap Graveyard was also an early village, but unlike the initial village most players would appear, the Heap Graveyard Corpse belonged to the evil faction!

As the name suggests, Night Creatures are creatures that roam at night. Skeletal warriors like me, evil spirits, monsters, liches and so on all fall into this category as well. Long story short, we are monsters that plague human villages, barbarians, and succubi day and night and promise to give them time of their lives.

I did what any small skeleton would do and ran around the entire Corpse Pile Grave as if I had the place. In the end, I discovered that a half-rotten barbarian was sitting under a dead pine tree. He might be a Night Being now, but it was clear that he was distracted by something. He scratched his head so hard that his hair fell out.

Four words, “Councier Tomb Stack”, floating above his head.

I walked towards him and said in a deep voice, “There can I help you, brother?”

The barbarian looked at me and said, “Little frame, a human scout has found our location, and the Heap Graveyard Corpse is no longer our paradise. We must attack human villages with our abandoned corpses. But before that, you have to get out of the village and clean up a bunch of Big-eared Rabbits that bother our friends.”

Ding~!

System Notification: You have received the [Kill the Big-eared Rabbit] quest! (Quest Rank: F-)

Description: Kill 20 Large-eared Rabbits and collect 5 Thick-footed Hair. Take them to the Corpse Heap Graveyard Guard to get the reward!

  ……

Abandoned dead? I'm a little confused. Does that mean I am a neutral character that does not belong in the Silver Moon Alliance or the Night Beings? Might as well. Well, that's not a bad thing. Less trouble, more leveling!

Time to get out!

The number of quests in Heavenblessed was only as small as the number of hairs on a bald man's head. It seemed like this was the only quest available in the entire early village.

I gripped the Rusty Iron Sword with one hand and walked out of the grave. I was immediately greeted by a vast forest view. As the guard had told me earlier, a group of black-haired Large-eared Rabbits were meandering outside. Large-eared rabbits are generally between Level 1 and 3. It won't be easy for a Level 0 like me to kill them.

Not far away, I could see a pair of Gophers running happily across the green field. These harmless rodents were all Level 1, and even a complete beginner should be able to handle them without any problems. Logically speaking, they were the most ideal target to level up on my current status, not to mention my mind was crippled by a three second delay.

However, I raised my eyebrows and said to myself, “Fuck, it's just a big-eared Rabbit! There's no way I can't beat something this weak!”

Dragging my shabby sword behind my back, I quietly slipped into a group of large-eared Rabbits and observed them closely. I noticed that they were very agile, and their attack speed also did not need to be booed; about 1.4 seconds per attack. I might be able to handle the attack of the Level 1 Great-eared Rabbit, but Level 3... Let's just say the “ekstasi” he gave was probably more than I wanted.

Even so, the big-eared Rabbit in front of me was only Level 1, so it was the perfect sacrifice to quench my baby's bloodlust! Actually, it's okay, this fucking sword is just…

I rushed towards the Big-eared Rabbit and let the habit of taking over my movements. Calculating the distance, I thought of attacking when the distance between us was around nine meters!

This, is a prediction!

That's right, prediction is a technique every pro should have, and it's even more important in my case, given the three-second delay between my body's reaction and the commands sent by my brain. That's how I can become one of the top 100 players of the Spirit of Grief even after I am crippled!

MISSES!

But what happened after I attacked exceeded my expectations completely. It was because my shabby sword only hit the air!

Not because I have a bad goal, right. It was because my body was swinging a sword while the Big-eared Rabbit was still seven meters away!

Unfortunately, my movements caught the attention of the Big-eared Rabbit, and after letting out a scream, he immediately pounced on me. His powerful hind legs slapped my face as if he was stepping on cow dung!

The damage given to me by the Big-eared Rabbit appeared in the air. As I thought, it is not impossible to fight a Level 1 Great-eared Rabbit with just 100 HP.

rustling rustling!

I took a step back and swung my sword at the same time!

Decompose!

9!

With my pitiful 1~2 Attack, it was a damage I could deal with with a basic attack, but then again, the Big-eared Rabbit only had 30 HP. It shouldn't be a problem to kill him with 3 more punches or so.

Swoosh swoosh!

I sent three consecutive lightning-fast attacks to the Big-eared Rabbit, but my legs never stopped retreating from it. Thanks to my clever moves, the Big-eared Rabbit did not manage to land another blow on me before he died.

“Screaming..”.

The Big-eared Rabbit let out a horrifying cry after its legs were cut off. As it fell to the ground, it shouted its last words, “Damn you, Night Beings! Uh! My legs...My feet are thick-haired 27 meters per second!”

The monster did not drop any equipment or other items, but I laughed out loud. “Yes God, did you catch him? Your father Falling Dust has returned!”

The big-eared rabbit around him looked at me like I was an idiot, but I was too happy to care because the attack I just launched made me feel like I had traveled back in time. Wh why? That was because the three second delay had somehow shortened to just one second! One second is really in my ability to control. I may still not be able to be the best of the best, but I'm sure being first class is really within my reach!

But there's a reason why people say “don't count your chickens before they hatch”, and my maniacal laughter causes three big-eared Rabbits to run at me simultaneously. One of them was even Level 3, and one bite alone took 41 points from my HP!

27!

41!

14!

39!

I was killed in less than a second, and that was how I lost my virginity in Heavenblessed.

My whole body ached for a moment before I got back up in the grave. That's when I found out that I was completely naked. Apparently, that death cost me my Defense+1 Tattered Shirt. Feeling like someone had stripped a piece of meat from my body, I ran back to where I was killed like the wind. Fortunately, the equipment had not been lost, so I immediately picked it up and put it back on. Then, I lurked around the edge of the forest in search of my next isolated target to kill.

My level is too low, so there are no skills I can learn at the moment. All I can count on is a basic attack.

Fortunately, my years of experience taught me how to move and position myself against monsters. It would not make the monster lose its attack, but it could minimize the amount of damage given.

rustling rustling…

I moved back quickly while swinging my sword twice. Just like that, I have killed another Big-eared Rabbit.

Pop!

Oh, I have an item, Thick Leg Hair to be exact. It was none other than the search item I hunted.

I put it in my bag and went looking for my next target. At the same time, I prayed that my next drop would be a high-level weapon. This shabby sword is so bad that even Level 1 monsters are hard to kill, and there is no way I will challenge a Level 3 Great-eared Rabbit. Well, I can do that, but I will be left behind massively due to inefficiency.

Moments later, 20 large-eared Rabbits had been killed by my hand. I'm still missing one Thick Leg Hair.

The night came, and my clothes were wet because of the environment. The feeling of wet clothes sticking to my bones was uncomfortable to say the least. Before I knew it, I had ventured deep into the forest.

Holy hooch!

I finally reached Level 1 and gained 5 free points after killing my twenty-fourth Great-eared Rabbit. I put them all into Power. Now that my attack power has reached the range of 4~7, I am finally strong enough to challenge a Level 3 Great-eared Rabbit!

Excited, I approached the Level 3 Great-eared Rabbit and ambushed him from behind!

Bang bang!

My shabby sword pierced the neck of the Big-eared Rabbit—his weak point—twice. Hitting a weak point adds 50% bonus damage!

31!

37!

As expected, the damage I am dealt right now is considerable after the stat increase!

The Level 3 great-eared rabbit had 120 HP, and I had slashed half that amount with my successful ambush. I retreated three meters and swung my sword into the air!

40!

Very good, I hit the Big-eared Rabbit's weak point again.

My breath was held in my chest for a moment as the Big-eared Rabbit crashed into me and took out 41 HP, but it was the only attack that would land before he died. My shabby sword stabbed right into his neck and instantly killed him!

Pop!

It dropped another Thick Leg Hair, perfect! My search is done! Not only that, it also dropped a Basic Health Potion, a high-quality type that recovered 80 HP at a time!

I took the leg hair excitedly and was about to turn back to the village early. However, a cold suddenly crept into my back. I turned around and saw something, my heart pounding. I feel nervous and excited.

A super-large rabbit with green fur glared at me from the undergrowth. It was clear that this Large-eared Rabbit was different from the others!

Level 5 Great-eared Rabbit Leader (Boss Rank-F)

I'm shivering. I can't believe I met the boss!

In Heavenblessed, boss rankings ranged from F to SSS, and each rank was separated into three levels: minus, standard, and plus. The leader of this Big-eared Rabbit was the F-Rank boss, meaning that it was the weakest boss there was in the game. Still, looking at my equipment, retreating here was definitely a wiser choice. After all, a boss-level monster was not something a beginner could kill at all.
